Decided to go to Payless Building Supply... Treated 4x4x8 $8.99 Treated 4x6x8 $16.99 The only item Payless didn't have which I wanted was a Treated 4x8x3/4" Plywood Sheet... only had 1/2" thickness for some reason.. about $19. But, it could be "Special-Ordered" from their other store locations... Later, I went to Lowe's and checked out their 4x8x3/4 Treated Plywood Sheets - all of them, despite being stacked, had some sort of warpage. $43. Dedicated to just Lumber Products.. and related items. Very few blems and rejects among the Fence Posts and Plywood Sheets which I observed... far less than Lowe's... Only negative is... they don't deliver!

On our first trip, it was busy and no one really seemed to want to help. Since it was our first time, we walked around for about 2 hours really trying to narrow down our decisions. Some of the displays are confusing as to what the prices and choices are so it was a little difficult. If you were lucky enough to get a sales person (we were not) then maybe you were able to get more info. We wrote down our choices and left. I came back by myself during the week hoping it was not as crowded so that I could actually get someone to write me a quote. When I walked in the front door, there was a young women sitting at the first station. She looked up and said good morning. I said good morning and then I went to look at the bathroom vanities. I knew I still needed help, so I walked up to her to ask for help. She turned from her computer monitor, looked me in the eye and said "I am busy right now" and went back to work. What? OK, that was rude. When she saw I was still standing there, she looked to the gentleman to her right and said "Oscar, you are too busy to help her as well, correct?" Oscar looked at me and said I can help you in about 10 minutes. I wish I had gotten her name because she was incredibly rude and disrespectful. After a few minutes, Ocsar tried to help me. I could tell he was rushing and really didn't want to help me so I just gave him some of my choices so I could at least get a quote. I think if you are a contractor they treat you better than just a regular person coming in to look and get prices. My contractor was not with me, so maybe if I had brought him it would have been different. For me, customer service is terrible, pricing and choices are confusing if you are just trying to look around and overall this was a bad experience. I would not come back, especially if someone like the young lady talks to customers that way. We wound up going to another bathroom company to ultimately purchase our vanity, cabinets and counter top.

Unfortunately, their installers did a horrible job and it is evident every day when I walk into my house I informed them of the issue and I was told that in time the seams would go down. they did not. However, what I received was not a full stair nose and was not the product I believed I was purchasing based on the information provided to me. Had I known what I would actually receive, I would have made a different decision. The most frustrating part was that when I raised my concerns, Carpetland refused to provide a refund or meaningful resolution. I was left with a product that was different from what I expected and not what I paid for, while being told there was nothing they could do because of their no-refund policy. Customers should be able to trust that they will receive the product they were sold. In my case, I paid a premium price and did not receive what was represented to me. I would strongly advise others to get all product specifications in writing and carefully review Carpetland's refund policy before making a purchase.
