Overlooking the religious aspect (which is important), the teachers and administration actually care, and its shows. All the employees know ALL of the kids' names, as well as the parents too (security, lunch-staff, office admin, etc.). Teachers my kid hasn't had yet know his name.....The teachers actually want to be there, and 'craft' (mold) good children, and they go above and beyond around each and every turn. Also, the kids there have personality, heart, and compassion, for each other and the world around them. They care about each other in a way you would never (NEVER) see in the outside world. Its actual love exuding in how they interact, play, and talk. They are curious beings, with empathetic hearts, growing into this world, and protected by the school, while at the same time allowed to find themselves and evolve into good people/adults. The administration is also top-notch. From the front office, principal, vice-principal (Ms. Fessman!), Mr. Lou, and Father McSweeney and Father Figueroa . They all CARE, and know each and every one of these kids' names, personalities, and interest...............these people not only care, but they also LOVE these kids, and love their jobs (and it shows). As the saying goes, 'it takes a village to raise a kid', and St. Augustine's has that down pat. The tuition isn't that bad, and the product you see in your child shows each and every day. The biggest investment you will ever make is in your children, and placing your child here ensures a return on that investment. I cancelled her enrollment in June but the school won't give me back the first tuition payment. I'm paying for a month of school where my child isn't even attending and I was laughed at by MARYANNE DEMPSEY who was unhelpful and nasty. These Catholic schools are a joke. All they care about is the almighty dollar. That is why my daughters first school closed and here is another school just keeping money that doesn't belong to them. I'm very hurt by the schools response and wouldn't give that parish or school another dime! It's a shame. You can't trust them.

I am so happy with our choice- all the teachers genuinely care about the students, and are very well matched at each grade level. Since it's only 2s, 3s, and 4s, it's a small environment where everyone gets to know one another. They have music class each week and do lots of nice projects and activities. Honestly cannot day enough good things! If I HAD to find a negative, the school day for the 2 year olds is 9:00-11:15, which is age appropriate, but goes by very quickly if you are running errands, etc.

Mathnasium has been a godsend…read more My stepson was a solid "B" 7th grade math student. We wanted him to do better to prepare for STEM coursework in High School and beyond. My stepson's improvement was quick and has been consistent. He was moved into accelerated math program in the 8th grade and in our local High School. He is achieving mid 90s on his tests against the accelerated curriculum. Mathnasium of Mamaroneck has been a big part of his journey. His math success has increased his confidence in other coursework and he is a completely different caliber of student. We highly recommend Mathnasium and their local Mamaroneck team. I cannot say enough good things about Elizabeth Seton preschool for children with medical needs…read more This place has been a blessing for our family and our daughter with medical needs. We decided to enroll her at 3 years old last year once she aged out of early intervention. I lived in Westchester at the time and as soon as I walked in I knew I wanted her at Seton after touring other schools. The facility is beautiful and staff goes above and beyond. My daughter was lucky enough to be in Ms. Melissa's class (we adore her!) Not only do the children get classroom learning time through the entire day, they have nurses on site to administer my daughter's g-tube feed, she gets OT, Speech and PT as well. They have a beautiful outdoor space. My daughter has thrived and flourished beautifully in this program. I could not ask for more. We recently moved out of district to Nanuet, NY and with the help of the school and my daughter's medical team we were able to keep her another year at Seton. This place has been a blessing for us. It's extremely difficult to trust anyone will care for your medical needs child as well as yourself but I fully trust the staff at Seton. I was nervous and terrified initially to enroll her but it was the absolute best decision. My daughter is really happy :) lots of fun events throughout the year as well.

They offer many tesp preps like NCLEX, LSAT, MCAT, GMAT, etc. My instructor was very nice and answered all our questions and concerns regarding material we didn't understand. Classes were long but we were offered many breaks. It's conveniently located in downtown White Plains. Open 11 to 9 Mon thru Fri and 9 to 5 on weekends.

We have been sending our son for swim lessons at Swim Tank since he turned 1 (he is now 3 years…read moreold). We absolutely love the facility, the staff and the progress our son has made these past 2 years in the water. We are so pleased with his confidence - he swims without a bubble or inflatable assistance for most of the class. He knows how to safely get in and out of the water/pool, which for us is just as important (if not, even more so) as the swimming itself. He is so happy to go to swim class - the 30 minutes just flies by. Even during these difficult times with COVID still very much a concern (we have an infant as well and are particularly mindful of our exposure outside our bubble) we feel comfortable with all of the precautions taken by the facility to ensure the safety of the students and staff. Pros: - staff is attentive - ownership is responsive - facility is clean and the learning environment is comfortable (the water is warm and the temperature in the pool area is balmy - I've heard of other facilities with less comfortable settings) - weekend and evening slots available (though priority goes to children all ready enrolled in the program) when we enrolled two years ago we had to take a weekday spot as it was all that was available given we were new to the program. - communication is clear as are the instructions for enrollment and attendance - makeup offerings and notice to cancel are more than fair (I've read other reviews for Swim Tank of parents complaining about the make up policy. Just know that the policies that are in-place allow for the program to run smoothly as possible and designed to be fair to the business operator and client/customer) - enrollment/coordination for sibling swim lessons is taken into consideration (though I don't have first hand experience as I've not yet gone through this process myself) - class size is small - pre-COVID the infant classes were 4max (to 1 teacher) and parent participation was required though in the years we've been at Swim Tank there have only been a few classes with 4 children in attendance - more often than not it was 3 (now with COVID only private lessons are available) - Swim Tank has a unique teaching style and first and foremost is safety first - which above all is the most important skill. Cons: - particularly now with COVID spots for weekends are limited (as of the date of this review only private and semi private lessons (maybe?) are being offered) - while I fully believe the costs are very fair for the level of service being provided, the tuition may be cost prohibitive for some I strongly recommend Swim Tank if you want your child to learn the important skill of knowing how to swim in a safe environment that fosters confidence in the water. PS. My brother-in-law was enrolled in another program. His son was 4 at the time. It was cheaper and the classes were a little larger. There was an incident that made him question the safety of the program, additionally the instructor sometimes allowed the children to sit on noodles during the entire lesson (not really learning a swimming skill?!?). We recommended they transfer to Swim Tank and they finally did and haven't looked back!
