They stopped doing the key tag rewards years back and now you have to use a credit card sized card which I'm not a very big fan of. You can always get a polar pop here for under a dollar. Polar pops are what they call their fountain drinks. They have many other things too. This place brought on fried chicken not too long ago and I haven't tried that. I do love their Hunt Brothers pizza by the slice. Problem is every time I go, they either don't have any setting out or it's been under the warmer too long. When I was a regular it was for the most part fresh, then it just stopped. Even not being a regular it seems to be a problem no what time of the day. Somehow despite 2 cashiers trying , no one could explain the rewards program and since she was on her way to a funeral she didn't take the time to get her discount on fuel. She was already having such a bad day. She did purchase some food from the sale bin. Food that was expired and was meant to be on sale for 50% or more off. When she left she discovered on her receipt that she had been charged full price for out of date food that she didn't even want. Something to do with the reward program. Sick of the bullshit we returned to the store and attempted to return the expired food. At this point we met the manager who stated his name was Jacobi and that he was general manager. He was so rude and disrespectful. He refused to return stuff, despite having just bought it. He did not take responsibility for the actions of his staff or for his store. When my friend asked for some leniancy and understanding, she explained she was on her way to a funeral, he had the audacity to laugh. He continued in a condescending and hateful way until she left the store. Instead of letting this go he FOLLOWED HER outside. This was both intimadating and scary. He continued to laugh and let her know that despite having took his picture, there was nothing she could do to find justice in this situation. It was a horrifying and completely rude interaction with someone who stated he was leadership of not only this store, but several others. Following her from the store was a measure of intimidation completely uncalled for. I implore you the owners of Mapco to look into this situation and contact me if you have anymore questions. As the crow flies, you're not that far from Louisville, but barring another bridge boondoggle, that might as well be the other side of the earth. And Corydon is a good drive away. Which presumably makes this little do-it-all shop viable for the locals. My "deli lunch" was a mound of salty ham with a touch of swiss, and the self-serve soft-serve choices include chocolate, vanilla, and swirl. The grocery aisles include local packaged meats and even some greenery. The fuel pumps are antiques, and because multiple people used them to fill gas cans as I sat and ate at the picnic table, my lunch came with a corresponding olfactory bonus - no extra charge. We were too uppity to use the port-o-potty, but otherwise we delighted in this little oasis -- perhaps not a dream grocery store, but it's a considerable upgrade from your standard gas station convenience.
