EVERY TIME they promised a completion time, they lied. Again and again. As I write this, they lied to my family 2 times in 24 hours. First completion promise was the end of the day yesterday, then a.m. today, and now it's the end of the day today. (Seems to be a typical pattern) Also, this was the second time we had to take the same car there because they didn't aptly finish the job the first time, while also further damaging the car. Yes, they will EVENTUALLY get it done, just prepare yourself to be lied-to on a frequent and recurring basis until that time finally comes. There is a thing called TIME MANAGEMENT - look it up. Take a class if you have to. Underpromise and over deliver. It will help your future reputation.

A young girl ran a red light going about 35 mph, she hit the back of an SUV. The SUV's back bumper…read moreflew off and.... hit the front end of my brand new Honda Civic. It did some damage and I had it appraised at Honda. The damage was about 2,000 worth. Long story short the young girl's insurance company, State Farm (which is honestly a pleasure to deal with) suggested Clarksville Collision Center and set me up with an appointment. I arrived for an estimate and was able to leave in about 15 minutes after arriving. The customer service was top-notch from the time I walked in to when I walked out of the door. Before I left I was set up with an appointment and was guaranteed a rental car would be ready and waiting at 8:00am. The day came and guess what? The rental was there, my car was taken and I was left with a Chrysler 200. Took about ten minutes, tops. They said that it could be upwards of six-eight days. It didn't take near that long! Three days later I got a call and my car was ready. When I arrived I found my brand new car... looking brand new again! My car was in excellent condition. It had been washed, detailed and repaired with amazing skill. The whole process was just so easy. They made my experience seamless and I really got the impression that my car was in good hands. Everyone that I came across was polite and was genuinely happy for my business. When my car was finished I even received an awesome chocolate bar with a car and Clarksville Collision on it in a little plastic case from Schimpff's Confectionery. What was even better is I received a touch up kit for my exact vehicle for small scuffs and scratches. Overall an excellent experience with a fantastic staff, one of the best group of people to work with that I've come across. I highly recommend this auto body repair shop.

And then, as an added insult to injury, my truck wouldn't turn over in their parking lot after I paid them. I walked back in to tell them about it, so they sent someone out to check it out. The guy made an adjustment and got the truck to turn over in park, so I left, . . . only to later discover, the transmission selector then wouldn't go in low gear. He pushed the adjustment too far in the other direction. Terrible work! I'm not going back Kavanaugh's and give them any reasons to rip me off again. I can live without low gear. This work should have cost about $200. Today, I got my truck back from Shuffitt's Auto Repair down on Preston Hwy. It needed a new starter solenoid. They installed both the new solenoid AND a new starter for about $380, ( said they come together). Good work at a fair price. Kavanaugh's is history with me .

Most shops just wanted to do collision work, painting just what had been damaged. Those that did do entire vehicles wanted several thousand dollars which was more than we wanted to put into the vehicle at this stage. We might have never found them except that a friend of a friend had their car painted there recently and it looked great. Quality offered several price levels and were so reasonable that we opted for the top-of-the-line "Senatorial." Took it in on a Monday and got a call Thursday morning that it was ready to be picked up. Looks like it did when we bought in new. Extremely happy with the price, workmanship, quick turnaround and nice warranty. Recommend them highly!
