We have given this food truck a try twice now and it is fantastic! I cannot believe there aren't…read moremore reviews. Maybe everyone is trying to keep it a secret. Oh no... should I? No way... too good not to share. Here is the low down on some of the menu items we have tried. Mega taco and normal tacos: It's mega alright! It's so big that it hangs out the sides of the to-go container. Hubby was in hog heaven! I chose the normal sized tacos and just as tasty! The Angus beef is tender and seasoned well. The salsa and aioli... homemade and delicious. Spicy, but not overwhelming. The addition of ranch doritos added great texture/crunch and flavor. Definitely recommend and tacos are always on the menu! Chipotle Finger Lickin Chicken: So each week tends to feature a different finger lickin chicken variation. The chicken tenders are not pre-fab and frozen. No you are getting 4 thin chicken breasts here. Freshly breaded. And let me tell you the chipotle aioli... oh my word... it's sweet and a straight up party in my mouth. Not much heat but that is when the hot cheetos come in and add the perfect amount of heat and flavor. Only issue with the cheetos is they were either stale or they take on a very hard to chew texture once in a closed to-go container for 30 minutes. But I still found myself gnawing on one just because the flavor it added was worth it. Lol! Definitely at least 2 pounds of food. The container was so heavy and you could easily get 2 meals out of this entree if you can stop yourself. Pulled Pork Sandwich: I tried a bite of this and it was delicious! Great smoke flavor and bbq sauce was awesome. BBQ chips added great texture in and pickles... be still my heart and my ridiculous love of pickles. I almost wish I had ordered this for myself. Hopefully next time it finds it's way on the menu it shall me mine! Dusty Garlic Fries: I saved the best for last! Special seasoning that can be purchased to add to your spice collection. These fries are addictive and go great with everything. Can't wait to try the offering with the taco toppings on the fries. I can imagine they will be amazing. Chef Ender's menu changes weekly with the consistent offering of tacos and fries. There is a salad option and they sound wonderful, so we hope to try them soon. It is amazing to have such high quality and fresh food available in Madison County!

Looking over the menu for the first time I kept telling my wife "that sounds good" then only a moment later I would say it again then again. After careful consideration I went with the sample platter. Ribs, brisket, & pulled pork. Chose the cheesy cornbread with honey butter and the baked beans. It was large enough to split with my gal. She took less than I and she still couldn't finish it all. Loved every bit of the meats. A beautiful smoke ring on all of it. They know their business around the smoker. The cornbread was delicious but I didn't fully care for the baked beans. They were a bit tangy and lacked the smoked meat in them that I've come to expect. The prices were reasonable and the place was very clean. Will be back when we return to the area. Enjoy it.

We got there around 5:30pm on a weeknight and within a few minutes many other tables also seated. The waitress was super helpful explaining the items and telling us about the bakery downstairs that makes the buns and cornbread fresh. I was in a group of five women, the person that liked her food the most got the salmon. Several folks got burgers, one got chicken patty with fries, coleslaw, macaroni, cornbread,, and I got the bbq sampler. They had four homemade bbq sauce at the table, original, a mustard variety, a Carolina variety, and a bourbon sweet variety. None of them spicy, not a fan, at best used the original bbq sauce. The brisket was super tender and delicious, recommended. The pulled pork was a generous serving but a bit dry, needed the sauce, I took half mine home to eat later with more bbq sauce. I thought I ordered naked ribs but they came out blackened in a rub, I went ahead and tried them, a bit dry but okay. Would not get the dry rub again. Two of us got the cornbread loaf side, I thought it was okay with the honey butter, my friend thought it was way too dry. I ate about half and took it home with more of the honey butter. One person got the seasoned fries and shared them, they were okay, generous portion size, she was trying to eat them with mayo, was also drying with the powdered topping and very salty. We were on a dry theme with many dishes! Most people with burgers ate around their buns. Due to the sad selection of hot sauces and meh 2/3 items on sampler and average cornbread, leaning towards and average review. We had hiked all day at Shenandoah National Park and very hungry when we arrived but quickly flipped from enthusiastic to disappointed. Service was good, atmosphere was good, but didn't enjoy the food as much. Maybe eat there if nearby, good for quickly seating groups, lots of meat options.

But he put all of our worries to rest. We planned a Mexican feast and that's exactly what we got! We couldn't travel with much for the banquet so we had LFA catering do it all. Food, wines, beers, very nice disposable plates and tableware. Him and his staff were wonderful and polite very professional! We were very pleased with everything and if we were to it again Jason and LFA would be my first call. Thank you very much. We had many compliments on the food.

We hired LFA Catering LLC for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, and unfortunately, the…read moreexperience was extremely disappointing. Rehearsal Dinner The first signs of trouble appeared here. Despite our wedding planner reaching out hours before the event, Jason (the owner) never responded. He was responsible for providing tables and chairs for 40 guests but brought enough for less than a third. While the food was acceptable, it did not match the quality we experienced during our tasting. Wedding Day Our wedding had about 135 guests; per the contract, the catering team was supposed to arrive 3 hours early to assist with setup, food prep, and drinks. Instead, most staff and food arrived late and during the ceremony. Jason was not on-site and could not be reached until well after the event began. The bartenders arrived on time but with no direction and without mixers (also part of the contract), forcing our planner to purchase them out of pocket. Luckily we provided the alcohol so we at least had beer and wine. Because of their late arrival and lack of organization, we had to delay happy hour, dinner, and the reception. When food was finally served, many agreed-upon dishes were missing, including gluten-free options for guests with dietary restrictions. Portions were inconsistent, and they ultimately ran out of food, leaving 20+ guests--including our band and planner--without dinner. Jason did not arrive until after 8 PM (seven hours late) and offered no apology or solution to running out of food. After the Event The team was contracted to handle cleanup, breakdown and trash removal, but this was minimally worked on. Our planner stayed until midnight to clean what she could, after Jason and his staff had left. The next day, my wife, several guests and I spent the whole morning finishing what Jason hadn't done. Afterwards, while my wife and I are trying to enjoy our honeymoon and recover from the disaster he created with our wedding, he harassed my wife about getting all of the items he had left at the venue (we had to take them and store them in our trailer so we didn't get charged by the venue). He didn't have the decency to communicate during the wedding or make efforts to correct his mistakes, but he sure could call and text us non-stop when it was impacting his pocket book. You might wonder if there were warning signs. Honestly, there weren't--until the rehearsal dinner. Leading up to the wedding, Jason was responsive and helpful. He provided a wonderful tasting, he even met us a couple months in advance to walk venue and discuss our needs and coordinate with our wedding planner. He even worked with us to design a menu that accommodated multiple dietary restrictions. He seemed professional and committed. However, on the day of, he was overcommitted and underperformed. The food quality was nowhere near what we had at the tasting. It seemed either Jason didn't prepare the food himself (the head chef onsite was not Jason) or he cannot scale his recipes. Most dishes were bland, poorly cooked, or inedible. Jason may be a fine chef, but he is not a caterer. Something though that really defines who Jason and LFA Catering is, not once, to this day have we received an apology for everything that happened. In fact, during any conversation, with us or anyone else involved, he has only made excuses and tried to defend his actions saying he did the best he could. I'm sorry, but if that's the attitude you plan to have, I could not in good conscious recommend him to anyone for any catering needs. After reading another review where he no called and no showed, I feel lucky we at least received some food and services. I truly feel for those people. I hope whoever has spent the time to read this and their review, learn from our mistakes and stay as far away as possible from this company.

The most important thing was the amazing flavor and the fact that the brisket and turkey were full of flavor and not overcooked, which seems to be the way most smokehouses in Virginia thinks you should make brisket. This is a clean, no-nonsense, down to earth BBQ place and it's delicious! I've been several times since they've opened & haven't been disappointed. I've come in during dinner & almost closing, and the food has been consistently good. The pictured dishes are the platters with 2 meats & 2 sides. I couldn't finish my platter & had the rest for lunch (still delicious cold) a couple days after. The standout for me (besides the meats) were the onion rings! These are NOT the pre-frozen ones. These are fresh-cut, seasoned, & breaded, and they are ADDICTIVE! They make other ones look sad. The baked beans are cooked with brisket pieces. The sandwiches are generous, too. The meats are smoked, tender & delicious. The sauces are also handmade, not bottled. So, you're going to have sample for your preferred flavor & heat. Not a problem because they have little sauce cups that you can use. I will definitely be patronizing this locally owned & run establishment.
