All week, I've been hearing the roar of planes flying overhead during the rehearsal, and on the first day of the show (October 4th-6th, 2024) , I finally had some time to head down to the pier and check it out. I was worried the weather might be gloomy (it's been foggy the last few days), but luckily, the sun came out in the afternoon, and the view was amazing! Watching the show live was so thrilling! My iPhone 16 Pro also did an awesome job capturing the performances I loved. According to the program, it was the US Air Force Thunderbirds and the F-22 Raptor team plus others performing. I'm no plane expert and couldn't tell which was which from a distance, but wow, when they flew by, the speed was insane! Honestly, all I could think about was Tom Cruise and Top Gun the whole time. The show was fantastic, and unless you're planning to sit right on the pier, you don't really need to buy tickets. You can just find a spot anywhere. I stood near the Huntington Beach Playground, where there's a grassy area and public tables & seats to sit at. If you want to hang out on the sand, just bring a couple of beach chairs and an umbrella--it's a great setup. I was really lucky to go on Friday because I heard the following two days were so cloudy and barely nothing exciting.

Event is well organized and so much fun!! Unfortunately the fog came in thick so we were unable to see a lot of aircraft performances. Can't change the weather and can't wait for sunny, clear skies next year!! Great announcer Excellent website that outlines the day Seamless enter and exit

I attended the Friday, October 4th , the first day if the Pacific Airshow, in Huntington Beach. The sky was fairly clear for some of the day, but for the remainder of the show it was difficult to see the performers. To their credit, the Pacific Airshow organizers offered Friday General Admission ticket holders free admission to either the Saturday or Sunday show. When the sky is clear, this is an amazing show. Several years ago I watched the show from a large boat that left from Newport Beach. I now feel that watching the show from the beach can be a more enjoyable option. Food trucks were nearby and the announcer educated and entertained those on the beach about the planes and jets. Before attending this show, I got the clear impression that large umbrellas and ice chests would not be allowed, yet as the attached picture suggests, there were plenty of those around. I'll bring a larger umbrella the next time I attend.

We waited an entire year to finally see this show! When we came to the area on the first Saturday of October in 2021, we heard planes flying. I looked up what might be going on and it was an air show! We arrived a little too late to find parking and decided we would come back on Sunday. We woke up early and drove down to the Huntington Beach Pier area and was able to find great parking. We did think it was odd that there were no vendors and everything was shut down. Came to find out there had been an oil spill over night and the show was cancelled for Oct. 3, 2021. We thought we should come on Saturday this year, 2022, to ensure we got to enjoy the air show! We arrived around 9:15AM and made our way to the beach. We parked up around 3rd & Walnut which has metered parking. Walking towards the beach, we were able to view some of the Military Boats and chat with Military Personnel at several booths. I got a cool small bag from the US Coast Guard with some sunscreen, Chapstick, and 2 Bottles of Hand Sanitizers. There are lots of booths to visit. We went into the Army's Simulator and tried our hand at the in-flight refueling. I failed. LOL There was another set of simulators in the Air Force module. We walked in and decided to walk out without participating further after hubby tried the parachute one and it wasn't working for him. The planes in flight were spectacular as always! I'm amazed at the skill of the pilots maneuvering the jets, helicopters, and even the BlackFly (Personal Aerial Car)! The jets showed their impressive power ... so loud as they flew by! I enjoyed their formations as well! That FEDEX 757 moved in ways that were gravity defying! We saw the Air Force Thunderbirds & B-52, Parachuters, USN F-35C, USN F-18, Army Helicopter UH60, Red Bull Air Force, USAF C-17, PACAF F-16 Viper, USAF F-16, FEDEX 757, Blackfly and many more!!! We walked around and watched the show from various places. We also got food from several places. While we couldn't see everything, we saw lots! The canopies and stadium for the paid areas blocked the views of what was happening directly in front. I think there were boats in the water. When the aircrafts did their fly-by with stunts in front of the Grand Stands, we missed seeing them from the unpaid areas. We were surprised with how good it was for being served at the beach! We got Chicken Strips with Fries from Surf Hero Marketplace, Shaved Ice from Tikiz, and a Vanilla/Chocolate Swirled Soft-Serve Ice Cream from Jack's Beach Concessions. Tikiz has a Surv-Board where you can add your own syrups on top of the plain Shaved Ice Cup you order. It's pretty cool! We had a fun-filled day! Be sure to use sunscreen and wear a hat. I did neither and got a nice sunburn on my face! Hopefully the Airshow will be back next year and hopefully we'll make a day of it again!

Love, LOVE this Airshow!! It's something we look forward to each year and were super bummed that it was cancelled in 2020 due to you know what... :-( It's so much fun being out on the sand/in the water watching the planes zoom on by!! My husband and I went 2 out of 3 days this year. It gets super packed in the area so plan on parking far and walking quite a bit or better yet, ride your bikes there! (We drove our bikes, parked far then rode them in).

Wow it was amazing ! Love the location, the staff working the event were great. The selection of air craft was so good. The pilots put on an amazing display of skill and professionalism. We were amazed. So good i cant wait to go again.

    Perfect day for shave ice!

It began at 11 am for VIP and 12 pm for the general public going until 4 pm. If you brought your lawn chair you can camp out for the entire time enjoying the live entertainment and sunshine. You park at the HB Sports complex where parking is $1 for the entire day or you could valet for $5. Highlights for me were the spicy edamame from Reef's Edge Grill (Shorebreak), Three Twins ice cream, Strongbow cider, Pan Roast from Ritter's, and the corn and watermelon samples from Solita's Tacos. We went for multiple rounds for most of the booths and enjoyed every booth's food! Our experience here was enjoyable. They had bands playing and other giveaways going on. Parking wasn't a haggle. I'm planning to go here again this upcoming year! Can't wait. You guys should go check it out.

[Parking]: $15 per vehicle for on-site parking just to enter the OC Fair & Event Center. [Admission]: Our party purchased the same-day tickets and paid a $16 per person entry fee. [What to expect]: The market was approximately half food vendors and half arts / crafts / gift vendors. There were solid craft and gift vendors, but not too many art vendors. The food was extremely overpriced ... a simple appetizer = at least $15+ & a filling meal = at least $25. The only real positive? There was a mahjong area that offered free lessons. The performance stage was alright. [Food]: Our party ended up getting only 6 pieces of soup dumplings (aka XLB) from Dumpling Dream for $14 and a cup of gelatea from Boutcha for $7.20 (one of the most affordable and best item to get at the market). [Conclusion]: If I ever come back to 626 Night Market, I would probably stick with the Arcadia location as parking is free and the admission fee is slightly cheaper. Eat when you get here. I learned my mistake. But i was still able to get some goodies. OTAI - this is sold at the Tongan food booth for $5. Probably the best mango beverage I've ever had in my life. It was creamy and sweet with mango meat and tiny bits of young coconut. I could drink this everyday and be happy - so delicious. PANIKEKE - this is old at the Samoan food booth for 2 for $1. It reminds me of a sweet and dense ball of dough resembling a big donut hole with a crunchy outer layer. Fried like a donut but sweeter. SHAVED ICE - this is sold at the Refreshment booth for $3. WTF!!! THIS BOOTH NEEDS HELP, its ran by little kids. You buy your ticket at another booth, walk to the booth next to it with two windows "Order Here" and another window "Pick Up". Give ticket, place order, wait in the pick-up window area FOREVER, when you get to the front they ask you for your order again, and then they make it on the spot. They make the shaved ice on the crappy side, so much syrup its too sweet to drink and they hand you a messy cup. I was wearing white and the syrup got on my clothes when they handed me the cup. It's just disorganized and you should not wait that long to get a cup of ice with syrup in it. See you next yr.

My kids and I were chilling and some dude, in between sets of the Santana cover band and the calypso band, was there with his girlfriend. He came over and asked if it was ok to take chairs from our area to his and it was chill ok as Gabriel was asleep in the wagon. I went over and told him "sorry dude but you took my kids chair but it is ok I got another one like I showed you" . The prick followed me and pointed out my mistake "hey mother fucker you told me it was ok to take these chairs" then he looked at my wine glass and said "ok long hair I see you are drunk". All in the presence of my kids and the teens nearby. I politely responded "that is ok sir my drunk condition will change in the morning but you are still going to be an asshole and a liar in the morning! The teens around me said to the needle prick "dude you have been served" and he walked away in haste. Still love this fest even though most oc, "white people " are pricks

Ticket Clarification for Future Guests…read more Be aware: the "Flex 2-Day Snow Pass" is not a two-day pass. It is valid for one day only. While it says good for 2 people, both people must attend on the same day. You cannot use the ticket on separate days for different family members. If you attempt to do so, you will be charged again. We learned this the hard way. Read the fine print carefully before purchasing.

OC Winter Fest unfortunately wasn't worth the hype or the price. While I appreciate that we…read moreattended on a discounted Sunday night (thank you for that), the overall experience still felt underwhelming. Admission gets you inside the gates, which is fine -- but once you're in, everything is à la carte through a mobile app, or you're expected to purchase separate "fun bundles." This felt more like a money grab than a holiday experience. I couldn't help but wonder why some of these activities weren't included with the ticket price to begin with. For example, putt-putt golf was an additional $5.25 per person, and it wasn't even a real mini golf course. It was made from wooden cornhole-style boxes with turf glued on, rebranded as an attraction you pay extra for inside the festival. There were some cute moments -- the Winterland of lights and the bubble suds that imitate snow were adorable, especially for kids. That area was probably the highlight of the event. As for the food... not great. Very greasy, carnival/fair-style food, which may work for some people, but it wasn't what I envisioned for a holiday festival. Nothing really stood out, and I wouldn't recommend coming here for the food alone. I don't write this to be negative -- just honest. For the price, I think your money could be better spent elsewhere this holiday season. OC Winter Fest may appeal to families with very young children who don't mind paying extra for each activity, but for everyone else, I'd skip it.

We absolutely love the OC Fair!! it's our annual must‑do summer tradition (especially since it's…read morewhere my husband and I had our first date over a decade ago)! The fair runs every summer from about mid‑July through mid‑August (this year July18-August17) and is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from around 11a.m.-11p.m., and Fridays & Saturdays until midnight -- lots of time for all the fun! Tickets are around $13 midweek and $15 on weekends for adults, $9 for seniors/kids (6-12), and free for kids 5 and under, and you can even get a $60 Every Day Passport to come anytime! Parking onsite is about $15 per car (and buses/limos around $30), with tons of parking and staff guiding you in -- even though it gets packed like Disneyland on summer nights! We always have the best time -- from grabbing pizza, pineapple fried rice, ice cream, boba, fried Oreos, or whatever catches our eye at the food vendors (prices vary by booth), to watching shows, visiting animals (the kids love that), and snapping so many fun photo ops! The atmosphere is amazing, the smells and lights are the best, and you seriously need like 10 hours to do it all -- we're so glad we went and can't wait to go back again next summer!

Parking is expensive and I often feel like I am getting taken advantage of, especially when I'm paying for the attraction or event and then additional fees for on-site parking. The grounds themselves are fine, about what I expect for a county fairgrounds. Reasonably well maintained and fairly clean so kudos to their custodial staff because many patrons and visitors are frankly pigs, dropping trash, food wrappers, and other refuse rather than walking to a trash receptical and disposing of it responsibily. Pacific amphitheater is a good place to see a show. Good acoustics and convenient location. It would be great if the management would invest back into the facilities. I'll return because there are events and shows that I want to attend at the oc fair and events center.
