The ceramics pieces are incredible and we will definitely come back again. There is a beautiful koi pond and small Japanese garden behind the gallery which is gorgeous.

We visited a couple months ago and returned for a special art demo…read more I am amazed at their gorgeous collection of Japanese art. The entire place is decorated beautifully and tastefully and it doesn't feel like everything is stuffed in every nook and cranny. There is an upstairs filled with more ceramics, beautiful pieces of vintage tansus (Japanese wooden chests) and other forms of delicate art. I even loved the peaceful Japanese garden you can enjoy from inside the shop if you sit and relax on their couch. Ren is such a cordial and friendly proprietor. I enjoyed chatting with him and hearing about his love for Japanese art. He was celebrating three decades of his successful business back in February, 2025. We stopped in for a scheduled gyotaku (fish print) demonstration on this Saturday afternoon. The artist was Chris Dewees and he showed all the attendees how to do an indirect fish print on silk. It was an interesting process using a medium-sized black fish he caught himself! He showed each step of the process and generously shared what type of paper, paints and other supplies he uses. It was interesting to watch this process transpire until ultimately, the fish print was done. He paints in the eyes later. There was a beautiful collection of other fish prints he has done, many for sale. He said he has a story for each of his works of art. He shared a few stories which added to the uniqueness of his art. During a previous visit, Ren invited us to view his larger Japanese garden behind the store. Absolutely breathtaking and peaceful. I understand the merchandise changes regularly so we look forward to visiting his beautiful shop again very soon. This artist's work will be displayed from April 25 - June 8, 2025. Employees are all personable, professional and ready to help.

My husband our daughter & I drove 3 hours to attend, and are so disappointed with this event. We…read morepurchased our tickets early and were so excited, even counting down the days until the fesrival... but there were only 2 booths selling seafood. The venue is nice and there was plenty of space, but not nearly enough food booths. I was hoping for shrimp skewers, shrimp pasta, lobster rolls, clams, different types of chowder, crab, crawfish, poke bowls, i dont know... just more seafood options at a fisherman's festival. There were more booths selling candles, handbags, crafts and other trinkets than seafood. Also, there were very few garbage cans, and limited places to sit. Organizers or Planners need to STEP IT UP!

This is a cool annual weekend-long festival taking place at Westside Regional Park. Plenty to see…read moreand do, including an art show, Sheriff's helicopter demonstrations, wooden boat building challenge and race on Saturday, which was hilarious and entertaining (especially rooting for the sunken ships and riders, and amused by the quirky boat names, like Deep Ship and Ship Happens), boat parade on Sunday, awesome live music with 3 different bands each day (performing mostly rock tunes), numerous craft booths and merchandise vendors, various food/drink trucks and stands (had some giant gourmet corn dogs from Aunt Betty's, yummy bbq ribs and mac n cheese from Fire Bros BBQ, and an iced mocha from Sunshine Coffee Roasters), as well as ample covered seating with tables, hay bales in front of the stage, free wifi, and multiple restroom areas with minimal waits at the porta potties. Parking and traffic was easy, and the crowds were much larger in the afternoon (after the rain subsided on Saturday and the sun came out), but it never felt overcrowded or uncomfortable. Lots of adorable well-behaved dogs too. Overall it was a well-organized and thoughtfully planned family-friendly (and pet-friendly) event, at a lovely location along the water, and we had a lot of fun.

Dragonfly is a local treasure!…read more It's a flower farm, full florist, and flower stand. A friend inspired me to stop in recently, to buy some stems from their self-serve flower stand. If there's not a staff member around, it's an honor system: leave cash or pay by Venmo. My (quince, I think) stems were mostly buds and now they've been blooming beautifully for the past 2+ weeks, adding cheer to our space. Excited to see what stems they have when I visit next!

I recently ordered flowers for delivery from Dragonfly Florist in Healdsburg, California…read more The person taking my order was kind and attentive. She promised yellow flowers in the arrangement. I see no yellow flowers (see pic). I emailed Dragonfly to express my dissatisfaction with the cost and composition of the arrangement. This reply from Carlisle: "Hi Janice, We appreciate your order and feedback. We take great pride in our work, our team and the relationships with other local businesses we support. Sometimes this comes at a slighter higher cost for this quality of materials and labor. We are sorry you are disappointed. It is rare for us to get a message like this. It sounds like the other florist would be a better fit for you moving forward. Good luck to you! Carlisle and the Dragonfly Floral Team" Based upon the reply above, Dragonfly Floral will not enjoy my patronage in the future. I also sent a follow-up email reply specifically to the business owner, prior to posting this promised review. No further communication(s) received from Dragonfly to date. I will also post a pic (with a blue ribbon) showing an arrangement from a different, significantly less expensive florist for comparison, as I did in my email to Dragonfly Florist. I hope this review is helpful to others in avoiding costly, disappointing floral experiences in Healdsburg, California.
