Dragonfly is a local treasure! It's a flower farm, full florist, and flower stand. A friend inspired me to stop in recently, to buy some stems from their self-serve flower stand. If there's not a staff member around, it's an honor system: leave cash or pay by Venmo. My (quince, I think) stems were mostly buds and now they've been blooming beautifully for the past 2+ weeks, adding cheer to our space. I recently ordered flowers for delivery from Dragonfly Florist in Healdsburg, California. The person taking my order was kind and attentive. She promised yellow flowers in the arrangement. I see no yellow flowers (see pic). I emailed Dragonfly to express my dissatisfaction with the cost and composition of the arrangement. This reply from Carlisle: "Hi Janice, We appreciate your order and feedback. We take great pride in our work, our team and the relationships with other local businesses we support. Sometimes this comes at a slighter higher cost for this quality of materials and labor. We are sorry you are disappointed. It is rare for us to get a message like this. It sounds like the other florist would be a better fit for you moving forward. Good luck to you! I had the best time taking Alyssa's flower arrangement class at Dragonfly Floral. The vibe was super relaxed and our instructor Alyssa was fun, kind and personable! She is a true master of her craft and passionate about flowers. I loved Alyssa's teaching style, she made everything easy to follow and shared great tips along the way. I ordered a $250 bouquet for a family member out of state after being impressed by the gorgeous arrangement shown online. What was delivered looked nothing like the advertised photo--colors, quality, and overall design were completely different and far below the standard expected, more like something from a grocery store or farmers market. When I complained, the florist told me the recipient "liked it" and referenced vague social media praise, as if that somehow justified the poor product I received. They also pointed to a small disclaimer on their website about "designer's choice"--which feels like a way to cover up bait-and-switch tactics. To top it off, they only offered a refund if the flowers were returned--which is totally unrealistic for a gift and borderline absurd given that flowers are perishable. Terrible customer service, misleading advertising, and no accountability. I will never use this florist again and strongly urge others to think twice before spending a premium with a company that doesn't honor what it promotes. read more

I didn't request a refund of any sort. I did request that you consider delivering something that looks remotely like the image I thought I was purchasing on your website, for $137. Or, if succulents were not an option at this time, a flower arrangement that could be delivered that made up the difference with what was delivered and what I paid for, I left it up to your discretion: Anyway: I will post your response today to me via email for all to see and consider, before they order online from you. Your response: Im sorry this has been so difficult and gone so badly for you. You clearly care about (name deleted). We were responding to your email to us, not your YELP review, if anything that slowed our response down, as it felt like an unreasonable response without getting in touch with us first, and giving us a chance to help you.   I'm afraid we won't be able to make you happy and have refunded half of your order, as we've already put all of that money into labor and materials and delivered a perfectly lovely planter to your friend.  The new image you are posting is a $150 ceramic planter, not the 10" x 4" corrugated metal that you'd ordered. I was all set to love this Florist. The pictures of the succulents look beautiful on the website. I ordered them on a Friday for delivery on Saturday. I ordered these for some friends I was having dinner with. The flowers were supposed to get there before I did. I had a matching card to give them with succulents on it. I arrive for dinner but unfortunately the plants did not I called the florist today to find out what it happened. So far, I have not been called back. It's unfortunate as my friends have left for vacation. So I'm not sure right now what can be done to right this situation. Extremely disappointed. Florist had both my phone numbers and my friends. Dragonfly provided exquisite floral arrangements for our wedding. They were beautiful and captured the exact vision we were hoping for. Our in person meetings with Bonnie (the lead florist) were very helpful and often proved to be more productive than corresponding over email. Bonnie knew our venue (Madrona Manor) very well and knew which types/sizes of arrangements worked best for the space. They even threw in a free fresh floral cake topper! They were reasonably priced for a Bay Area florist based in the heart of wine country. Bonnie was also the first person to tell us how beautiful our site was, rain or shine, which ended up being more important than we knew at the time because it ended up raining on our wedding day. And she was spot on, the Madrona Manor has beautiful backup rain plans so weather won't ruin the day. Dragonfly's response time to emails was a bit slow (1-2 weeks sometimes to get a response) which was a little frustrating during the planning process. I tried to resist the urge to send annoying follow up emails. But I didn't let the silence bother me too much since the Dragonfly's portfolio was filled with the exact floral arrangements we were looking for. The owner instructed me to visit their website. Ordering was easy. I get to see coded floral arrangement photos from previous years and pick from there. Fill out my info. and my recipient. You immediately get a response and talk to a live person. I was told in advance that the arrangement is similar but may vary in colors and some of the flowers may vary from the ones on the photo but I was reassured they'll get it as close as possible. I'm fine with that. I had confidence that this florist will do a great job. I like the fact that there's no surprises here since I was told in advance that they will get it as close as possible, I appreciate that a lot. I asked my daughter to send me a photo. I love it!!!Although I chose lighter colors she got deep floral colors which was fine with me since it's Valentine's Day. And the deep reds and purple colors complemented with the tiny bright pinks. I paid a little over 150 with tax and delivery, they gave me a generous amount of arrangement which I thought was impressive! . The arrangement is free flowing, as if you just picked random flowers and wild flowers, and some greens in your backyard and put them in a vase without looking so traditional and old fashion. Pros: the camera feature-allowing us to send our photos; non traditional, contemporary arrangements, an eye for colors, and balance. Cons: none and I hope it stays that way. read more
