Some vendors were friendly but many felt like professional hustlers. Selection wise, I was disappointed. I expected more Antique Roadshow but experienced more of a swap meet vibe. Lastly, when it comes to value, I was surprised how expensive items were and I was shocked that you had to pay 10 bucks to just get in. However, I did appreciate that parking was free even though extremely crowded and annoying to deal with. My first visit will be my last.

This is a quaint small business market...happens once a month at the Pike Outlets in Long Beach…read more There's a good amount of venders here selling baked goods, juices, honey, candles, soaps, lotions, wood & leather works, handmade crafts, macrame, jewelry, clothing, shoes, and some really good food. We were hungry when we arrived, and we went with a very interesting fusion of Indian-Mexican tacos called Spice Bites Food. I had the potato tacos and my friend got the spicy jack fruit ones. I absolutely loved mine! There was a very mild seasoning added to the mashed potatoes in the taco, then sauced and sprinkled with cheese. They're fried tacos, filling, and only $7 for two! We then bought some juices from Dlit Juice, which was just 2 tents down. It was all delicious! Most of the packaged food businesses do offer samples...like the honey, juice, and spicy jam, but the booze cake pops did not...lol. One of the candle ladies was even passing out free tea candles to all who passed. I will be keeping an eye out for next months event. I'm interested in trying one of the other food venders, but I also really wanna try more from the Indian-Mexican fusion company.

Ventilation is much better here compared to the warehouse from before, and they've taken care to add some fun murals throughout the store. It's possible they put the popcorn machine away for the event, but I'm hopeful the next time it'll be back by the entrance; it's a staple! My main critique with the former space was that much of the costume jewelry and trinkets were behind glass. Part of the fun of antiquing for me is being able to touch, feel, and engage with historical pieces - it seems like the new setting has solved for this. I found a fantastic tapestry finger purse from JR Miami 1950s-1960s for $20 (one of the ladies who works there told me she nearly bought it that morning) and a sweet $3 footed teacup I'll upcycle for my plant collection, I recognized some of the booths, so I'm glad they were able to move with LB Antiques. If your dog is well-behaved, they are also super dog-friendly here and your pooch will have a field day sniffing all the textiles and curios. My only remaining gripe - and it was a gripe when the space was still Joann's - is the parking can be gnarly getting into! I find it very difficult to even compare this business with its previous location, as they are such vastly different establishments. The previous location, house just off of PCH in Long Beach, was this vast warehouse style structure with an outdoor area that also had tons and tons of stuff for sale. It was a true destination. A new experienced every time you went inside. A couple of months ago, they let all of their customers know that they were going to be moving pretty soon. Thus, this move was fully expected. I was truly happy to hear when they opened up this new location. And, of course, I went for their opening weekend. The store, is vastly different from their original location. Located in a strip mall, it's simply a retail structure. There's no great feeling of arrival when you walk inside. It's just there. Don't get me wrong, this store is filled with tons and tons of great items, just like the previous location offered. It's just that it doesn't have the vibe that this store once possessed. Meaning, when you come shopping here, it's a completely different experience. Basically, they have a lot of stuff in cabinets, hanging up, literally all over the place. And, many of their previous sellers have relocated to this new location. So, in terms of shopping, what you will find is similar, though not exact to the previous location. Missing, however, is their whole outdoor industrial area filled with all kinds of stuff, including gigantic business signs and memorabilia. Please be aware, this review is geared towards both the fans of the previous location, and those who have just discovered this shop. Once here, you're gonna find all kinds of stuff. The prices are reasonable. And ,it's one of those location that you truly never know what you will encounter. Making shopping here a great experience. In terms of parking, they have a central lot to the strip mall. So, it shouldn't be too hard to find a spot. In terms of where they're currently located, this is a little bit off the beaten path of Long Beach. As stated, they used to be located just off of PCH, so it was super easy to get to and find. For this new location, you may have to GPS it. This being said, it still remains a great location to find that something you never knew you needed and/or that perfect gift for that person who loves the unusual.

They got security driving around which is safe in carts. Took my phone for a simple screen replacement…read moreto the phone repair booth that they have at the swapmeet. what a nightmare. picked it up one week later all the way at his home in East LA. Terrible replacement job. Air bubbles and moving screen. Phone then didn't turn on soon as I got in my car. Took it back next sunday (week 2 now). Again, the guy took the phone for a whole nother week. Now the screen looked great and phone turned on....BUT now the camera wouldn't work. Took it back (week 3 now). Again, the guy took the phone for a whole nother week. When I went to pick it up he said he couldn't fix the camera initilization problem. The area for my camera was now completely shattered and broken. He recommended doing a factory reset. I was livid but took my phone home to try a reset. By the time I picked up my phone this last time, we were already on week 4 (an ENTIRE frikn month!). NOTHING helped my camera. I rarely make phone calls. Mostly text. So two days later I make a phone call and now I can't hear ANYTHING that the other line is saying. To complete a phone call I have to do it in speaker mode. Then this morning I wake up to a phone call and now my screen doesn't even turn on. My phone worked perfectly fine before I took it to this guy. He has his young son working on phones, so I have a feeling he is the one that went in on my droid. This man was unable to fix anything besides the broken screen but left everything else worse than with my screen broken. Guy is only agreeing to give me back the initial $50 I paid for the screen. What am I going to do with $50 now????? Now I need to buy a new phone!

It even has an outdoor area that could have been a backyard. When I first walked in, it felt like I was stepping back into the '70's. A lot of brown and orange hues. Once you pass the front counter on your left, you feel like you're stepping into someone's living room. There's a couch, coffee table, dial television set, and the record player is blasting '70's music from their collection of vinyl. The first room on the left sells clothes, plants, etc. The second small room next to it has a large picture of KISS plastered on the walls, between the selection of boots and jackets. If you keep walking towards the back, there's a room to your right where the record player is. After exiting that room, you walk into the main room and a large selection of vinyl for sale near the back. They sell used and new merchandise. Everything from used clothes to new jewelry, paintings, artwork, and everything in between. Like I said, there's a large outdoor patio where they sell patio furniture, pots, plants and other outdoor decoration. There is really a lot to take in, and everything is affordable. I saw something I liked that cost $9.50, but I asked myself where I was going to put it. The gal at the front counter was friendly. They take Apple Pay. Parking: Plenty of free street parking in the neighborhood.

Jewelry, yup. You want trinkets, they've have it. You want truly unique art items, they have them, as well. You want an incredible selection of vintage LPs, they offer it. They have a little bit of everything, and it is all truly curated and unique. Located on Orange Avenue, in the Eastern section of Long Beach California, this business is a little bit off of the beaten path. It's actually a truly unique neighborhood. Though it's basically a residential area, there's a number of unique businesses right around Goods on Orange. So, you can easily grab a meal, or a coffee, or a little bit of something else once you come to the area this business is located within. Once inside, you are overwhelmed with a plethora of all kinds of everything. It's truly a visual experience to walk into this business. They have a lot of great everything. I can't say that enough, because you truly never know what you are going to find when you go in. The staff here are all super nice, so if you have any questions, they're happy to help you out with whatever they can. In terms of pricing, they're very fair. Sure, you can maybe find cheaper prices at a thrift store. But, at a thrift shop you're never guaranteed that you're will find the best of the best like is available at this business. And, that's what this shop offers, the best of the best. In terms of parking, street parking is your best bet. On weekends, you may have to walk a little bit, because, as stated, there is a number of other businesses directly surrounding Goods on Orange. But, it's a good way to get your steps in.
