Some vendors were friendly but many felt like professional hustlers. Selection wise, I was disappointed. I expected more Antique Roadshow but experienced more of a swap meet vibe. Lastly, when it comes to value, I was surprised how expensive items were and I was shocked that you had to pay 10 bucks to just get in. However, I did appreciate that parking was free even though extremely crowded and annoying to deal with. My first visit will be my last.

Creatiothey have water ballon toss to help cool down and hula dancers performance. This is an outdoor event make sure to bring water and something to shade your self from the beaming sun. Pets and kids friendly, maybe leave your furry friends at home . I can only assume the pavements were scorching hot for their paws . Food vendors such as Mexican mixed fruit drinks and wetzel pretzels food truck . Many of the vendors sell used clothing and vintage items such as collectibles and clothing. Jewelry vendors , sports goods and hand made items. Home made pet snacks vendors were the best , I was able to grab a few items for my fur baby . My kids found some used clothing items , I thought the price was steep for my pocket book. My girls say it's vintage mom lol!! I wouldn't spend that much for used or vintage clothing ( a stained used sweater for $30 lol)

We were hungry when we arrived, and we went with a very interesting fusion of Indian-Mexican tacos called Spice Bites Food. I had the potato tacos and my friend got the spicy jack fruit ones. I absolutely loved mine! There was a very mild seasoning added to the mashed potatoes in the taco, then sauced and sprinkled with cheese. They're fried tacos, filling, and only $7 for two! We then bought some juices from Dlit Juice, which was just 2 tents down. It was all delicious! Most of the packaged food businesses do offer samples...like the honey, juice, and spicy jam, but the booze cake pops did not...lol. One of the candle ladies was even passing out free tea candles to all who passed. I will be keeping an eye out for next months event. I'm interested in trying one of the other food venders, but I also really wanna try more from the Indian-Mexican fusion company.

Ventilation is much better here compared to the warehouse from before, and they've taken care to add some fun murals throughout the store. It's possible they put the popcorn machine away for the event, but I'm hopeful the next time it'll be back by the entrance; it's a staple! My main critique with the former space was that much of the costume jewelry and trinkets were behind glass. Part of the fun of antiquing for me is being able to touch, feel, and engage with historical pieces - it seems like the new setting has solved for this. I found a fantastic tapestry finger purse from JR Miami 1950s-1960s for $20 (one of the ladies who works there told me she nearly bought it that morning) and a sweet $3 footed teacup I'll upcycle for my plant collection, I recognized some of the booths, so I'm glad they were able to move with LB Antiques. If your dog is well-behaved, they are also super dog-friendly here and your pooch will have a field day sniffing all the textiles and curios. My only remaining gripe - and it was a gripe when the space was still Joann's - is the parking can be gnarly getting into! Between the pub and Pilates, the plaza can get pretty busy and the parking spots need to be repainted,

The rest of the swap meet was Bath and body items which was very well organized and they had a massive amounts and quite a bit of children's items and clothes some clothes not the best quality but just really good selection and kids grow out of things so fast they had some like little boutique booths, which the quality didn't seem great, but the prices were higher than I definitely expected, but the rest of the Swapmeet was like a big chunk sale plastic bags on the ground or on tables with just piles of stuff thrown all over them or random tchotchkes thrown on the ground and you had to pick through everything. It is big but unfortunately it was definitely not vintage days. We went on the day that they was designated for vintage days specifically because we weren't really looking for just junk or stuff . We won't be back anytime soon . We got an ice cream cone and one scoop was like eight dollars. They do have some fruit and vegetables, but they were pretty ripe and some of the items canned goods look like things they got left over from maybe a food bank or items they took from a food bank that they didn't use just a lot of stuff that seemed like it had been collected from free stuff left over from a yard sale or I don't even know it was not what I expected. It was my first time I've been wanting to go for years. My sister-in-law hadn't been since she was younger, and my husband hadn't been since he was younger. He said he remembered his mom taking him all the time.

I did not go with a child's optimism to the Roadium, but I did hope to find oddities to engage my mind, trinkets to admire and imagine about, and in general find something that would be right for me at a bargain price. And the Roadium on a Sunday, provided me the opportunity to find all the previously mentioned items and things, plus it also help me get steps in, in a slow pace, while I absorbed the sun's Vitamin D. I am surprised to say this, like super surprised, but the item that most caught- really arrested- my attention was a picture that centered the country's current sitting president: Trump. In the picture, Trump has his head down, eyes closed, hands and fingers interlocked, and he seems to have a face of meditation, maybe receiving peace and/or knowledge. And behind stand a variety of historical and political powerhouses of the past, like Nixon, Reagan, Washington, Lincoln, and others that I could not recognize to name with confidence. However, all had their eyes closed, and had an aura of tranquility that also carried palpable notes of worry. What struck me the most is that the group, in tense serenity, included men and women of color. It is important to note that I clipped the picture, to give the reader or viewer the opportunity to collect their own thoughts and land their own interpretation. That got heavy. I also clipped a picture of quinceneras. One was dressed in Cinderella blue with a carriage, horse, and carriage handers were in the background, I thought it was A.I. generated but perhaps some people do have quinces like that, in fact I know they do, I used to wacth my Super Sweet Sixteen on MTV. Getting inside the Roadium is hard on a Sunday. But apparently worst on others day because the Roadium has different vendors on different days and each attracts a different type of crowd. For instance, on the firstMonday of the month vendors from the Rose Bowl Flea Market come. Please know that I am recycling information that was provided to me by one of the vendors. Research, please to verify accuracy. However, she also explained that on Mondays, when the Vintage Vendors come, parking becomes nearly imposible to find, even on the street. On this day, it cost 5 dollars, the cashiers only accept cash, The place has trinkets, food, and finds, seriously, it is a cool walk to see, touch, and get lost, if that is something one can do- shop vendors with nothing you want to buy, but still find meaning in the seeing and touching. I had peanuts on this day, but they were special because they were freshly toasted. Like I got a few to try (both extra toasted and not so toasted) and they were still warmed from the machine that toasted them. The touch of a warm shell was enough for me to be impressed but the freshness was key. This vendor explains that sometimes the peanuts in the store are 10 days old, after they were first roasted. Again do research. I saw micro Mexican candy stores with some of the candy that really communicates non-tourist streets of Oaxaca. I also bought three shirts. One was 8, two other ones were three dollars, and I feel like they were honest finds. I took a video of a barbie like doll, not barbie, using a Segway, which I thought was a wink to the modern that made sense yet never seen. I also saw a Spiderman Halloween shirt. And I thought how weird. It was him siting Spidey like, and he was pumpkin orange with bats behind him. It was juvenile because it was Disney product from theri Halloween bash time. So this place does have what was one precious yet never bought. I can see how someone might get something today to use at another day, or simply, be creative and DIY stuff from the stuff they found here.

Very Big Swap Meet but Lots of Fakes and Resellers!!…read more There's tons of vendors selling different things, and you may see multiple vendors selling the same things such as household items, children's toys, hardware items, and plants. Lots of vendors sell clothing at different prices, but I did see one vendor sell clothes for $1 each. There's plenty of vendors selling fake water bottles such as Stanley cups and Hydroflasks. I found two vendors selling Sonny Angels from Aliexpress, very obvious fakes, and I would never buy Sonny Angels from Swap Meets. However, if they're your thing, there's tons of them. There are also reseller vendors selling items they've found from TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Ross, Five Below, etc. There's a lot of food vendors. They essentially sell the same things like Italian Ice, Churros, Agua Frescas, and Mangoneadas. However, there are some vendors that sell Elotes, Tacos, Pupusas, etc. They're just a bit harder to find. I got two Churros for $8, a Vanilla Raspado with Condensed Milk for $5, and Hot Cheetos with Cheese for $5. It was a bit steep for a swap meet, but I understand these vendors are just trying to make ends meet. Vendors are nice a majority of the time. They mostly seem pretty tired from the blasting heat. Some vendors will offer you a better price on an item you want if you walk away, and some vendors let you haggle the prices. The Swap Meet is pretty big so you will find something for you. Parking is free, but it can be a bit hectic. Vendors seem to close down their booths 2:30pm-3:00pm. If you're planning on making multiple purchases, you're better off bringing a wagon, cart, bags, or multiple people.

Parking can be a hassle because the college grounds while big, it's very busy and the lots fill up quickly. Why only 2 stars? Too many vendors selling the same things over and over again. Not a whole lot of unique selections or variety to choose from. A ton of clothes that honestly wasn't priced at swap meet prices, they were priced slightly below retail if that. Even the clothes you could tell was used was too expensive. This was my first time here and I was disappointed at the repetitive selections from vendors. I don't think I'd come back here any time soon.

It even has an outdoor area that could have been a backyard. When I first walked in, it felt like I was stepping back into the '70's. A lot of brown and orange hues. Once you pass the front counter on your left, you feel like you're stepping into someone's living room. There's a couch, coffee table, dial television set, and the record player is blasting '70's music from their collection of vinyl. The first room on the left sells clothes, plants, etc. The second small room next to it has a large picture of KISS plastered on the walls, between the selection of boots and jackets. If you keep walking towards the back, there's a room to your right where the record player is. After exiting that room, you walk into the main room and a large selection of vinyl for sale near the back. They sell used and new merchandise. Everything from used clothes to new jewelry, paintings, artwork, and everything in between. Like I said, there's a large outdoor patio where they sell patio furniture, pots, plants and other outdoor decoration. There is really a lot to take in, and everything is affordable. I saw something I liked that cost $9.50, but I asked myself where I was going to put it. The gal at the front counter was friendly. They take Apple Pay. Parking: Plenty of free street parking in the neighborhood.

Jewelry, yup. You want trinkets, they've have it. You want truly unique art items, they have them, as well. You want an incredible selection of vintage LPs, they offer it. They have a little bit of everything, and it is all truly curated and unique. Located on Orange Avenue, in the Eastern section of Long Beach California, this business is a little bit off of the beaten path. It's actually a truly unique neighborhood. Though it's basically a residential area, there's a number of unique businesses right around Goods on Orange. So, you can easily grab a meal, or a coffee, or a little bit of something else once you come to the area this business is located within. Once inside, you are overwhelmed with a plethora of all kinds of everything. It's truly a visual experience to walk into this business. They have a lot of great everything. I can't say that enough, because you truly never know what you are going to find when you go in. The staff here are all super nice, so if you have any questions, they're happy to help you out with whatever they can. In terms of pricing, they're very fair. Sure, you can maybe find cheaper prices at a thrift store. But, at a thrift shop you're never guaranteed that you're will find the best of the best like is available at this business. And, that's what this shop offers, the best of the best. In terms of parking, street parking is your best bet. On weekends, you may have to walk a little bit, because, as stated, there is a number of other businesses directly surrounding Goods on Orange. But, it's a good way to get your steps in. Overall, if you're looking for that unique gift, that special something for yourself, or that something you never knew you needed, this is a great place to find it.
