All this despite three different attempts on a three-way call with my insurance and Cottage. It's been a year, so the insurance company can no longer accept the claim due to timely filing. Cottage is now on the hook for the entire $200 reimbursement, which I'm sure will take another three months. Is there any accountability at this company? On to the next patient?

Very disappointed with my experience at this Cottage Urgent Care location. I made an appointment at…read morethe other Ventura location, and the receptionist told me it wasn't a problem because I could be seen here in "a couple of minutes." Instead, I waited about 40 minutes. If I had been told the actual wait time, I would have driven the six minutes to my original appointment and been seen on time. What concerned me even more was that another patient came in reporting respiratory symptoms and possible COVID or pneumonia, and the receptionist never asked them to wear a mask. I've been to other Cottage Urgent Care locations where anyone with respiratory symptoms is immediately asked to mask up, so this was surprising and concerning. I highly recommend going to the other location. I've never had any issues at the other location and against my better judgment I decided to give this place a chance and the front desk is just beyond incompetent. Definitely will not be going back. The reason why I'm giving this a three star review is because I heard that three stars are way harder to delete and also the doctors and the other staff were totally fine but if I could give it negative stars I would.

When I called to make an appointment with Identity Medical Group, I felt comfortable and the appointment date was within a month, so I decided to move forward and book the new patient exam. Dr. Robert (Bob) Dodge's office is located in the 5-story building across the street from Community Memorial Hospital in mid-town Ventura. There is a 3 story parking structure below the building that offers free parking. Dr. Dodge's office is located in unit 502. There's 2 doors then enter into the same building. So here we are on the day of my new patient exam, 2/29/15 @1000. I arrive at 0950 and sign onto a sheet. At the front desk sat, Rosie-one of the receptionist who didn't seem warm and welcoming. After about 10 minutes Nicole, registered me into the system and collected my co-pay. Within 5 minutes I was called back by Hannah, who I'm assuming is the MA, proceeded in taking my temp, weight and vitals-she also performed pre-appt questions to get a better gage for my visit. She then walked me to the exam room where I waited another 5-10 minutes for Dr. Dodge. My first impression of Dr. Dodge is that he is very warm-welcoming. He has great energy and displays true passionate, concern about your care. He actively listens as you voice your concerns and reiterates back to you. I like that he was consistent in asking if I had any questions, to make sure I understood his recommendations. The overall physical/assessment appointment was about 30 minutes, and then I was done. I would recommend Dr. Dodge to anyone looking for a new primary care physician. I'm happy to have finally found a primary care physician that actually cares and who is quite knowledgeable.

I signed a form for all my medical records to be forwarded. I also explained about my compounded prescriptions to add to my file. On February 13 I had my doctor's appointment. I had expected everything to be in my file by then. Alas, nothing had been added to my file. At that time, I repeated my prescriptions to Dr. Dial, who it seems did not add it to my file, either. Today, March 6, I called the office and requested that my compounded prescriptions be refilled. The first staff member mentioned some powder???? prescription (I have no idea what she was talking about). I was transferred to the medical assistant, who called it in. She did not call in accurate prescriptions. I had to drive to the compounding pharmacy, Medical Arts Pharmacy, and bring my vials of my estrogen cream and the pharmacist wrote down the prescriptions, which I then hand-delivered to the doctor's office. Whenever I would call the office, the staff would over-talk me and not listen to what I was saying, so they would make further mistakes. It's a good thing that I am healthy and I am mostly concerned about my estrogen, and getting blood tests, so that I can make any adjustments needed, myself. I do not trust them with anything else.

Walking in on a warm autumnal October at noon, I was able to easily park at this facility. I came…read more20 minutes earlier than my appointment as I anticipated paperwork. Arriving all the way from Orange County, I thought I would give the imaging centers in Ventura County a try The office was extremely easy to find being in suite 120 at the intersection of the hallways, basically the center of the building. As I opened the doors, the interior seem spacious with inviting interior decorations. I am typing this review as I sit in the waiting room. The paperwork for me took about 5 minutes to finish as it was rather straight forward. The staff seem kind when they knew immediately who I was even as I was a new patient based on my appointment time. The ultrasound technician was extremely nice and courteous, having over 15 years of experience. The ultrasound experience was efficient as can be as I was comfortable, yet he was able to take a lot of pictures both ventrally and laterally with his ultrasound wand, with the right amount of pressure without it hurting. The ultrasound gel was warm and much appreciated it. The small talk was brief and enjoyable as I remained pretty much quiet throughout the entire procedure except holding breath when he says so. Afterwards, I returned to the office where I was able to reschedule my upcoming chest xray appointment with Stephanie. She had excellent customer service and was very polite. She even let me prefill a form so I don't have to fill it on the day of. Overall, I got my results back the next day. Instantaneously. I don't know about the other reviews on here but this has been the most pleasant experience I've come across in imagining. Coming all the way from Orange County. I look forward to my next appointment! Update: Amber, the x-ray technician for my chest x-ray was extremely skilled. She helped me remove my necklace, was very courteous, polite, positive, and radiant as she took my x-ray in an efficient manner. It literally took 5 minutes. The front office staff was also in the festive spirit with Halloween attire. In conclusion, this diagnostic office is probably the best office I have ever visited in my life! (And I've been to a lot of medical offices as an EMT).

The front check ins consist of 2 small sections, 1 has 2 front ladies with computers next to each other where you check in and stand up. The other small section to the right has another person with a computer and for someone to sit down if needed. However the section with 2 people you are literally standing next to another patient, me and my father were checking him in standing next to another patient as she was checking in. I attached a photo for reference. During check in, they did state they would ask a few questions, I did not think too much of it till they started asking him about his medical condition, past medical treatments, his current medications and history OUTLOUD. I got uncomfortable after a while and asked to complete it myself, why are we speaking this out loud? Is this not against HIPPA? They give patients registration forms to sign with a clip board and have them sit down... why not let your patients complete the medical questionnaire?! Why should patient standing next to us hear his current diagnosis, medication and current and past treatments especially if its super sensitive to him. My father and I noticed that after he mentioned specific words regarding his personal life, the patient to our right kept looking over. Again the answers themselves were sensitive and I don't feel my father got the privacy he deserved. After we left my father was really not happy with that and neither was I. He did NOT feel his information was private despite how many people are in the room or not, why does he have to say it outloud? If management is reading this, as a worker in the healthcare field myself... I would suggest patients answering that themselves on paper as this info is private. No matter if people stand next to each other at check in, we can hear everything here in the waiting room chairs. Other than this, I will say this place is very clean and nice and well kept.
