Q always has long waits. Yes they are shorter with appointments. it is often crowded at Q. A couple years back, my doctor said, Do you want to go to Q or Pacific Diagnostic labs? I had never heard of Pacific. I said I would try Pacific. WOW!!! This place has never had more than 3 people in the waiting room!! You do not need to make an appointment. Say what??? It is so dang convenient. The test results are super fast!!! Many of the doctors who are affiliated with CMH can see your blood results. So my gastroenterologist can check out my results as well as my endocrinologist. Easy peasy. I forgot to add my general doctor to my lab work. You can tell Pacific labs of all the doctors you want to see your test results. Pacific Diagnostic Labs are nearly perfect. I did have a couple of times when my insurance said there was a problem. I called and these 2 issues were resolved. I believe that there is only 1 or 2 people who work here. I do not know the name of the main gal. She checks you in and does the tests. She is a 1 woman show. She is always kind, friendly, & professional. I low-key do not want word to get out so this place doesn't get crowded and yet, I owe my fellow yelpers this knowledge.

She is the only person who can draw blood without hurting me. She is the sweetest, kindest, woman you will ever meet and is always a pleasure to talk to - she eases your mind and makes you very comfortable and relaxed. If ever I get a lab slip to another place (like Quest), I have my doctor give me a generic one specifically so I can go to Primex. There is never any wait! She's in the little beige building directly to the left of the drive up liquor store on Loma Vista across from CMH. (see attached picture) Also, just an FYI, I love this place so much that I created this Yelp listing because it is impossible to find this location online. I want everyone to know how great it is!

Today, I'm here with my housemate for a fasting draw at 3pm in the afternoon. I didn't starve him and after sleeping all day said he was up for going. Walk ins are welcome and appointments are encouraged. But how busy could it be right? It's NOT busy and the lone little blood drawer made a big effort at looking busy as she sits in her room with one walk in patient waiting and only coming out to greet the people here NOW for their appointment. Was able to tolerate that for about 10 minutes before going and knocking. As I sat there pondering all the things I could be doing I made a mental list of unpleasant tasks I'd RATHER have done than going to Quest. A mammogram, Pap smear, dental x-rays, and an audit were just a few. Granted, they are probably quicker with an appointment but making the lone walk in wait 20 minutes when absolutely nobody was waiting irked me.

It was so stressful watching her get poked and poked and no one being able to draw her blood. Nurse Cyndi was able to draw my daughter's blood first try. She was fast and efficient. Not only was she good with my daughter she also made me feel at ease because it's hard for my mom heart to see my daughter uncomfortable when getting her blood drawn. My son had his first blood test after almost 10 years. He is terrified of needles but he finally talked himself into get it done. He talked to Adam on the phone and felt comfortable with him so he scheduled his blood test. We had Adam over this morning and he was amazing with my son. He did a great job and it was completely painless. From now on my son said that he will be fine getting blood work done, as long as it is with Adam.

If you need an ultrasound done, they will schedule you and call you a few days later saying you were either double booked, or the ultrasound tech is not in that day, or that you were scheduled in a room that doesnt do ultrasounds. Then they will reschedule you for two to three weeks after your initial scheduled date. This has happened to me three times with rolling oaks radiology. It is unacceptable. They say they do more mammograms now than ultrasounds. Their schedulers are not in house and are not reliable.
