She also looked at my hair and said I didn't "need" a wig, and I do respect that these wigs can be so useful for people with a medical condition but nothing about the store from the outside made me think I needed to prove a medical need for the wig before purchasing. The whole experience was awful. I felt judged and sized up and like I was a terrible person for even looking at wigs when I had hair. If these are "serious" wigs for medical purposes I think this should he made clear so someone doesn't feel shamed for shopping for a wig for any other reason. If I am coming into the shop alone and planning to purchase a wig, why side eye me like this? It's not like I was with a group of friends laughing and trying things on without an intention to buy. Compared to the Walmart one, this had limited selection, so many out of stock, and came with a disclosure that returns needed to be made before 7pm. We didn't realize how literal they were. We figured we'd just be given a late fee. I work in the city, so I have helluva time making it there before 7. When I get there, Safeway is open of course (24hrs as it states on the DVDPLAY website), but the kiosk will not accept the DVD. It told customers to call them. I thought the kiosk was just broken or something, but it turned out that DVDPlay was just closed. Great! So inconvenient. I will not use them again.

We came into KPOP Nation right before the TWICE concert looking for a lightstick. It was a last…read moreminute stop, and they did not have the exact version we were originally looking for, so we were ready to walk out without buying anything. Then we were helped by one of the employees, and everything changed. She was incredibly kind, understanding, and patient. She genuinely wanted to help us and made the experience feel welcoming rather than rushed or transactional. Because of her attitude and customer service, we decided we wanted to support the store anyway. To top it all off, she told us ahead of time that the lightstick needed batteries and then gave them to us. That honesty and generosity completely caught us off guard in the best way possible. Thanks to her, we were prepared and stress free going into the concert. Experiences like this are why local shops matter. We will definitely come back whenever we are in the area. Thank you so much.
