We live rural and have a difficult time finding help with our pump issues. Called Pacific Pump and they connected us with Tom. He was prompt in calling me back and stayed on the phone with me to troubleshoot my pump. He stayed late at work to run me through all possible scenarios and once we identified the issue and it was determined it couldn't be fixed until the next day he called back that evening just to see if everything worked out. Came home and had no water. After calling our "Well" guys we went on a search for faster service. I found Pacific Pump online, saw the great reviews and gave them a call. We were in luck and they had a tech on our door step In 10 min. Tom helped us hook to the neighbors system until they could get us a new pump and fit us in their schedule. Having done some research on different pump company reviews, I decided to call Pacific Pump for a 3rd opinion about my broken well. First of all, talking with Nancy to schedule a service call went super easy, she was great! Tom (the owner) and Andrew came out the same day to check the well over and give me a bid. They even called me in advance to let me know that they were on their way. Both Tom and Andrew were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, with a touch of humor which helped to put me at ease. They abided by the Covid safety guidelines. When they returned 2 days later to fix the pump, they completed the job quickly. The problem was 3 burned up wires 140 ft. down the 300 ft. pipe. They answered all of my questions in layman's terms. Tom, the owner of Pacific Pump, was spectacular. I was in a panic at my house when my water randomly stopped working, and within 2 hours of calling Tom, he was at my house ready to address the problem. (Mind you, it was 5:30, after hours, yet he still came.) He figured out the solution in about 5 minutes, gave me a very reasonable estimate, and with my ok, went to work right away. He was done in about 20 minutes and kept me updated along the way with what he was doing. Soon enough I had running water and was overjoyed. I found that we had no water about noon. I could hear the pump coming on, then immediately turning off about every 30 seconds. Being a die hard do-it-yourselfer, I tried to figure out the problem myself. Having no luck at all, I went online to see what advice Google had for me, which proved useless, thus, hanging my head in shame, I went to Yelp. I saw that Pacific Pump got great reviews, so I gave them a call about 4:15 PM. I spoke to Tom and he said that he could come right out. He arrived an hour later (12 miles out of Rogue River) and diagnosed the problem very quickly. He explained what happened: the sediment filter that I had installed between the pressure switch and the holding tank got clogged, which caused the pressure switch to go crazy, which caused the capacitor to burn out which caused the pump to not know which way to turn, which caused it to overheat and shut off, cooling down and repeating. Yea, I would have NEVER figured that one out. He also told me how to remedy the configuration so that this won't happen again. An hour after Tom showed up he was gone and I had water once again. Tom is wonderful. He's very prompt and knows his stuff. He also goes the extra mile. For example . . . a few years ago during winter, my daughter's system needed repair. He came the day before he was to take a morning flight to a convention, but lacked a crucial part. The next morning, about 6:00 AM (a couple of hours before his flight) he was back at my daughter's house installing the part with no extra charge!
