Not quite a one-star review, but very close…read more We brought material to Pacific Recycling and were paid the "dirty" rate of only 15¢ per pound when we should have received around 40¢ per pound. It seems there is always an excuse for paying the lower rate. We were told the material has to be transported to Lockwood and takes up valuable truck space. If hauling gutters or aluminum to Lockwood isn't profitable for Pacific Recycling, that is a business logistics issue. Either don't accept the material or clearly explain the pricing and classification upfront. Customers shouldn't discover the lower rate after the fact. After I confronted Peter, the manager, he offered to pay us the difference. I appreciate the offer, but it raises an obvious question: if the higher rate was appropriate, why did we have to complain to receive it? Even more concerning was how the complaint was handled. Peter talked over me, made excuses, and even said he would take $20 out of his own wallet to "get rid of us." The conversation ultimately ended with him hanging up. That is not leadership. A manager should listen to a customer's concern, investigate what happened, gather the facts, make a fair decision, and ensure that decision is properly executed. A customer questioning whether they were paid correctly should not be treated like someone management simply wants to get rid of. This goes beyond our transaction. The difference between 15¢ and 40¢ per pound can become serious money when multiplied across many customers and thousands of pounds of material. I encourage anyone doing business here to check your tickets, weights, material classifications, and rates carefully. Customers should not have to argue or complain to receive the rate their material qualifies for. Shame on Pacific Recycling and its management for putting customers in this position.

I would give them zero stars if I could. LIARS!! BEWARE!! I was behind one of their trucks on…read more7/30/19 merging onto the East Bound I-90, when the truck loosed some gravel from the dumpster it was carrying and slung a rock into my windshield. It hit with such force it left a big crater then by the end of the day it split up my windshield. I had my wife call this company to let them know. They took the info, and that was it. Several more calls later they started hanging up on her. I called them, and they hung up on me. I finally spoke to a Wayne in Risk Management at their corporate office in Great Falls. He started a claim. Zurich is their insurance company. Long story short, they lied and said that none of their vehicles were in that vicinity on that time and day. Denied the claim, and now I am stuck with a $400 windshield replacement. BEWARE when behind these trucks, the company will lie to get out of doing what is right!
