Today, June 17, 2026, I went to Costco Business Center at North Hollywood without my City Visa…read morecard, my Costco card. First, they gave me a day pass without any problem. After an hour and a half of shopping, at the check out, I found out that they do not accept the only card I had with me, a Master Card. I thought the entire trip would be completely wasted, until the Cashier Cindy Ramarez suggested me to look into other ways to retrieve my City Card. She did not just brush me off because of a few customers in line. Then, it is the supervisor Jasmine Castillo, who spent a lot of her time, to help me. I recalled a picture of my card in my gallery and she helped me so I could transfer the information to an app, and therefore opened a Google Wallet. Then she scanned all the items and made sure my new method worked. I got to walk out with my groceries, feeling very grateful for all the helps I was given. Super Impressed!…read more Stopped by today to pick up something I was looking forward to getting a shelving unit Costco had it on display, but there were none available to be purchased. I asked an employee if they had any available he quickly escorted me to the front desk and an associate immediately checked to see if there were any located in the store I was then taken to the manager and he also checked to see if there were any available for purchase ,in the back He said there were seven available and asked if I could wait about 10 minutes while he had his team locate the shelf I returned to the aisle to also look myself to see if the shelving unit was perhaps on a top rack, and I noted two employees scouring the immediate location, and I assumed they were looking for the shelf as well I was impressed that they were on it so quickly and earnestly At about 10 minutes, the manager came over himself to the aisle and informed me they weren't able to locate the seven that were in stock and let me know that more were coming in tomorrow and urged me to take a picture of the price sign with the order information so that I could call in to see if they had placed them out as opposed to making a trip down here again At that point another associate engaged with another team member and was informed that they knew where they were located in the store The store manager asked me to stay in the aisle and they would bring it to me Within a few minutes and associate approached me, asked me if I needed help and thanked me for my patience Wow! They have great stuff and prices are great. The clothes are amazing along with toys and other things. The clothing variety is awesome. Lots of sizes for children and adults. HOW have I gone this long without reviewing Smarty's!?!?!…read more My daughter and I are Art's biggest fans. Every Thursday (which is when Art gets in his pallets of new inventory), she says to me "Happy Smarty's Day!" You just never know what you are going to find here. We have gotten the following items in the past year or two: a brand new Samsung dishwasher (a model that had only been on the market for five months, new in the box for over $700 off retail price!), a Ninja Creamy ice cream machine, Instant Pot lid that turns it into an air fryer, Dyson and Shark vacuum cleaners for hundreds off list price, deck boxes and hose reels for the backyard, a new microwave, an amazing array of plastic storage bins in all sizes for the garage/storage locker...and that's just off the top of my head! Going to Smarty's is our weekly treasure hunt. More than once, my daughter has bemoaned that she bought something elsewhere only to find it later at Smarty's for a fraction of the price. On the rare occasion that something we bought ended up damaged after we opened the box (which does happen from time to time, given the nature of the business of buying pallets of stuff from Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc.), Art has always made good and given us a full refund. I am almost loathe to tell people about this store because I want to keep these amazing, secret deals all to myself, but I also want Art to stay in business forever. Thanks, Art! Depending on your shopping needs, combined with the shopping options here, you can knock out a good portion of your to-do list in one trip. Like most Costco gas stations, the lines can get ridiculously long, but with multiple exits and entrances it's easy to get past those lines.

Parking is a hit or miss, most of the time almost as close as to the Home Depot. Not all Costco's have the same items. Other suppliers will not even do anything unless they get a model # and serial #. At Johnstone they always go above and beyond. So to the guys at Sun Valley, Northridge, and Valencia, Thank you for years of great service. Ps... they only sell to contractors and maintenance professionals which is great for preventing someone who doesn't know what they are doing from getting hurt or causing further damage to their equipment or themselves.
