I highly recommend Pacific Pruning. The owner of Pacific Pruning, Will, came over to my house in West Seattle on a Sunday morning to take out some overgrown bushes and shrubs. Once here, he didn't mess around, he got right to it and poof they were gone. After he ran all the large stuff through the chipper, he cleaned up the area of stray branches and leaves, and the yard looked great. Pacific Pruning did an excellent job of pruning my trees and hedges correctly. I say "correctly" because there is a right way and a wrong way to do this when your trying to "train" a hedge to grow dense and tight so you can get a clean precision cut on the hedge that gives a hedge the "wow" factor of an exact cut and boxing of the line of shrubs. This is what Pacific Pruning does. I have hired the wrong companies in the past to do what is actually "skilled" work when it comes to precision pruning of hedges. I have incorrectly hired "tree companies" who are used to chopping and lopping but not skilled pruning. This company removed 5 large trees and trimmed and shaped several others earlier this week and did an exceptional job! Chris, the foreman, came out to review what we needed to have done the week prior. He was very thorough and professional. I had some concerns about landscape lighting getting damaged during the services but he assured me that we wouldn't even know they'd been there when they were done. He was right!! I had Will come to give me a bid for the removal of a dead cedar tree and the tops of a few other trees. I also asked him about raising a few other trees and removing a holly bush and cutting roses. Honestly it was a pretty decent sized job. He came out the same day I called him for the bid and he was honest and very well priced. I decided to go with him over other bids because he really made me feel like my job was a priority. I honestly was impressed. He came out the following week to take care of everything and got it all done in one day. I have to say his team went above and beyond and they met all my expectations and then some. They cleaned up after themselves when the job was done and more importantly they were courteous. I never felt like my job was a check mark on their list. I will continue to use them in the future for any other pruning and maintence and I will be referring him to all my neighbors, friends, and family. I called Pacific Tree Services based on all of the outstanding reviews I read about them here and on their website. Sadly, I didn't have the same experience. In fact, I had NO experience with them. Chris came to my home on Sept. 19, 2018 to assess my removal needs, and promised an estimate via e-mail shortly. To make a long story short, it's now Mar. 2019, I'm still waiting for that estimate. On Oct. 31, 2018, I received an e-mail from Will saying that they were having trouble with their estimating software, and he would get me "scheduled in the next couple weeks." Last I ever heard from them. I don't know what went wrong on their end, but I certainly can't recommend them to anyone. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Will and his company. They showed up exactly as promised. The work was done as promised - in fact our giant hedge looks like it was done by laser. His crew was friendly, knowledgeable and cleaned up- as promised. This was all done at a fair price. Pacific Pruning took down a 100 foot Cottonwood for me. The owner, Will, came out to inspect the tree and give a quote. The quote was reasonable and less expensive than the other company that gave a bid. Good communication with scheduling. When they came out, it was a little too windy to do the job safely so he wisely shut it down and rescheduled for a few days later. They worked safely and with precision (didn't harm a branch on a small apple tree less than 10 feet away). Cleaned up the debris and left the yard in great condition. Will scheduled someone to come grind the stump and even grind down some roots that were protruding in the lawn. Just a very satisfying experience. Highly recommend. read more

Beyond satisfied and tremendous value for money. William responded to my inquiry promptly and came referred by another customer. He quoted me with 1-2 days and his pricing was reasonable and not an overinflated chance payday. He was below other estimates but that's not why I chose him. I chose him because its clear he is trustworthy and thorough, more importantly he has the customers best interest at heart. He didn't try and convince me I needed more done than what I asked for and its clear he is willing to prove his worth on a job by job basis. We now plan to use him for weekly mowing and upkeep because we were that impressed. He doesn't play around, stop for smoke breaks, its all work for him. He trimmed hedges that were a beast of a job, shredded the debris and literally went on the roof to blow off debris that most others would have left. Take my word for it. This guy is capable, pays attention to everything and sets a high bar for others to follow. Don't waste your time with a bozo in a 1980 pick up who will not appreciate the work.
