And having ace hardware in the area is such a relief. From bbq stuff to any tools you needed Ace Hardware got your back. Came in for poncho, shoe glue & some stuffs needed for a 9-day trip. Staffs were always helpful and cool. Ambiance is pretty good. They may not have carried all the stuffs you need but having this hardware here is really a good thing. They even sell bear spray but at the time we're looking for it they are out of stock. People grabbing 'em left and right. Located at the back of Mountain Goat Coffee Roaster, this establishment only have 3 parking spaces but don't get discourage, you can park with cautions somewhere within the area. The general store itself carries a wide variety of items from food, to pet essentials, to ice cream, to crayons and pvc pipes. If you need it, chances are you will at least find some kind of compromise. While shopping I experienced a wonderful surprise when the sweetest kitty came walking up to me. I was curious if he was a cradling kitty, lap kitty, or only touch me when I want to be touched kind of kitty. If you're a cat or animal person, you know exactly what I mean. To my extreme delight she allowed me to pick her up and walk around the store with her. Her purring was so loud you could probably hear it on the other side of the store. Samsung made my heart so happy that day! Come for what you need, and stay to give this sweet girl love! You will not be sorry.

They're stores that "generally sell all the things". This shop definitely achieves that. The day before, we were hoping to go to a grocery store but of course there aren't any. We happened upon a "market" which was nothing more than a gas station mini mart that didn't carry much at all. I had lectured my cousin at that point that the place to pick is always the General Store. One day later, we came here. It was a bit musky and run down looking, but the lady working there was super nice and the shop itself had TONS OF STUFF. Need pvc piping? This is your spot! Need random fishing supplies, you can get that here! Missing your pet cat at home? Come here and meet Samsung and make up for lost cuddles! Okay okay, in all seriousness though, we came here for a resupply on foods. We were able to purchase ground beef, pasta sauces and organic pasta! There was also a huge selection of ice cream and ice cream bars too. Not too much for the vegans, but that's to be expected. HOWEVER there were two instant noodles that were vegan/vegetarian-friendly, which was more than enough to make me happy. I didn't buy anything but was thoroughly impressed with my exploration of their curation of "general offerings". There were hatchets, ice scrapers, mops, cleaning supplies, random souvenirs and pretty much anything you can think of that you might need to get when staying in a cabin for a few days. One bummer was they sold out of eggs, but at least they carry them! Did I mention you need to visit because of the kitty? She's the cutest and had an adorable bed set up in one of the aisles. And by apolitical I mean he's not a Trump supporter, which makes it uncommonly pleasant to shop there. He and his wife Laura are pillars of the community and a fantastic resource about all things Mossyrock, and in fact they maintain a flyer with local numbers of various businesses of especial use to new residents. When I first moved here I don't know what I would've done without both the store and their list, and I shop there to this day, even when I could save a few pennies online. They hire fantastic employees who know what they're doing too. Best possible customer service. And if they don't have it in the store (though believe me it's downright amazing the breadth of inventory they have for such a small town) they can order anything you need quickly. Called the GM/OWNER. " NOPE" "Special order if we screw it up we would have to replace it." Not interested in my order telling me that they would cut it for me. I wasn't listened to about the cuts to be made. It was 3 straight square cuts per board. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A YARD WHERE THEY REFUSED TO MAKE SIMPLE CUTS. I had to drive 25 minutes home to get a circular saw, come back and cut 3 boards 3 times to take them home. Ridiculousness!! Can't get the yard kid to make 9 cuts on a chop saw??? This is a local store! Help your local folk make things happen! Wasn't asking for particular angles, simple stright freaking cuts! Wasn't concernerned about length. Not a thing to me. NOPE. This place is NOT about customer service. I had $3500 worth of decking delivered. 2 boards were majorly defective. They charged me $100 to come back and pick them up from my property. That was after charging me a $125 to deliver them. Oh that's right, I didn't return them so therefore they charged me to pick them up. It was a 20 foot board, I have a 6 foot bed on my F150. I didn't mess the board up, it was defective on delivery. These people want to milk every dime from local folk. I would seriously question their ethics. Will cut off my nose to spite my face.
