We have a 2025 Hyundai Hybrid. It carries no spare tire. (I am told this is common for newer cars due to the batteries, etc.) We went to Feinstein's, (another review) and drove in Carmel traffic for 2 hours (actually) to find a place to park. My nerves are shot and the only thing on my mind is getting a cocktail, enjoying some music and having a general good night. All that is true but going home I turned too early to early and drove into a curb, the tire immediately blew. Remember, no spare tire, so it was necessary to call Hyundai, and they dispatched a towing service. It is 10:45, we have been sitting for 45 minutes and this dispatcher calls. She had just gotten the call that we needed a flatbed to take our care to the dealership. She asked if we were safe and said that she would have someone there within the hour. We mentioned that we had been sitting about an hour and hoped it would be sooner, but we understood. About 15 minutes later the tow driver showed up and asked if we were ok. He took pictures all around the car and told us the heat was on in his truck so that we could sit in warmth while he took care of everything. He looked up the closest Hyundai dealer on 96th and said he would take us there. He asked if we had a way home. We stated that we had never used UBER but would do so tonight. No worries, he said I can help you with that and I can wait a little while for the UBER driver. He told my husband when to contact UBER and off we went. When we got to the dealership he asked if we needed anything from the car and then asked us to wait while he parked and locked the car. Took us to the front of the dealership and even offered to help me with the paperwork. My husband finished it, and the UBER driver showed up. The whole experience was as stress free as possible. The truck driver was as polite as can be and took my hand to help me out of the truck. Thanks to the dispatcher and to the driver for making this maddening experience turn out so well. Hopefully we won't run into more curbs but if we do, I will request this towing company because the caring nature and the respect shown to us was outstanding. GEICO arranged for my car to be towed this morning at 9 AM. I called PADDACK last evening to confirm, and she said they would be out at 9 in the morning. We also confirmed that I lived an hour away so would not be with the car. I was in the shower and getting ready at 8:30 and woke to numerous missed calls. I called GEICO and apparently PADDACK went out at 8 AM and stated that I wasn't with the car and that my car was parked behind a locked gate. As you can see by the photo, my car was parked on the street exactly where I told them it was. I even reiterated its placement to their receptionist last evening, stating I limped to street parking on North Alabama, specifically so the tow truck would have no issues. We called Express on Wednesday Jan 30 at approximately 7:00pm. They said it would be an hour. I totally understand, it's the coldest night in our lifetime. I explained to the man over the phone, " I have foreign car that needs to be put into neutral manually, we may need to look it up online." The driver gets there, does a couple things and then tells me he's going to put something under my front wheels and hoist the car up on to the truck. After I explained again, and said we should try to find this on our phones. the driver tells me the owner Dave is not comfortable towing the car and taking the risk. We need to call someone else. He leaves us two women on 37 north bound. Good news, we called Miller Towing, they were super fast getting to us. Totally knew what to do, the driver understood that BMWs have a special way to manually put into neutral. Millers will be my go to referral every time. read more

I called this company to tow my car. They told me it would be $55 to hook up, 5 free miles and $3 per mile after. They towed my car 6 miles so my total should have been $61.00. The guy they sent had to be new , so he had a difficult time getting my car on the tow truck. So due to THEIR worker not been fully trained I had to pay a extra $45. No one informed me. Total of $106 to go 6 miles. I called and ask why the cost went up and they said because the worker had a hard time. No apologies or anything! I will never use this company again or recommend it to anyone. I called Big Reds to do my second tow and they were GREAT $85 flat rate no difficulties! read more

This place is an absolute scam. My dad needed help to get his car pulled out of a ditch and called here. The lady on the phone didn't even tell us the price and after the truck came and pulled out our car, then they told us it's cost $1,500. Then the guy proceeded to yell cuss words saying they don't care about the bill, they make money this way. The dude threatened to call the police and take the car away. They were very unprofessional and kept things in the dark after charging us. This place is disgusting. read more

I needed roadside assistance and Paddack's was who was dispatched through my insurance company. I was originally quoted about an hour, but I was expecting that since it's not exactly reasonable to assume immediate assistance when lately I have seen a large number of cars breaking down, running out of gas, etc. and this time of year seems to be the busiest for towing companies. Jeremy was the driver they sent and he was wonderful. He was very prompt and arrived a little earlier than the time I was quoted. We tried a couple of things upon his arrival and then he helped in any way he could to make sure my vehicle started once we arrived at my destination. He also made sure the vehicle would start again after we shut it off. He gave me suggestions on making sure it would start in the morning when I would need it to start for work. I received text alerts updating me on his arrival and I was able to track him once he was headed to me through a link the company sent me via text. My experience with them was wonderful. I am hoping that if I need roadside assistance again, this is who my insurance company is able to send. read more

Used my insurance emergency roadside assistance and this company was dispatched. I waited in my car on the highway with my baby for 3 hours and they never showed. My insurance company called them 30 min after their supposed ETA and they said the driver was running behind and would be there in 25 min. 45 more min passed and no one showed up so I called the company and they said the driver fell back to sleep and the lady on the phone told me " it happens". She didn't apologize or anything for me waiting for almost 3 hours to get a tow. After I told her that was unprofessional to say and that the right thing to do was to apologize and try to fix the situation, she got mad at me and told me they weren't coming at all. So I had to call my insurance company back to find another place to tow my car in the early hours of the morning. read more

Think twice before you use them. I had a terrible experience with them and it was not by choice. Here is a copy paste of the news article that will give you a good idea about them. From Fox59: CARMEL, Ind. - The City of Carmel is looking into possibly creating an ordinance to limit how much towing companies can charge when called out to clean up a car accident scene. Officials started considering the measure after a man expressed frustration when he was charged thousands of dollars following a fatal crash, where he was not at fault. Hooman Rahimi vividly remembers the night in June when he was driving along US 31, near the 146th St. overpass, and noticed a wrong-way driver coming right at him. "All of a sudden I see headlights coming," Rahimi said. The two collided and the other driver died at the scene. For Rahimi, the emotions from the incident are still fresh. But, he said the stress the came next was from the towing company called in to clear the crash scene. "Had I known what they were going to charge me, I would've not allowed it to happen," Rahimi said. According to him, he got an invoice from Paddack's Wrecker and Towing Company charging him thousands of dollars for towing his truck and trailer. "I was like 'are you kidding? Is this real?'" Rahimi said. He tells FOX 59 the towing company eventually brought the total amount owed down to $2500. He said he felt compelled to pay that in order to get back his pick up truck and trailer, which had his beloved race car inside. "The adjusters didn't think it should cost that much, the police didn't think it should cost that much," Rahimi said. "They're allowed to do whatever they want, charges as much as they want." The owner of the towing company, Jeff Ripley, sent FOX 59 a statement, saying in part: "Paddack's has standard operating procedures that apply to every accident/impound that we come in contact with... Mr Rhamini's [sic] loss in this unfortunate chain of events is completely reimbursable." Ripley also said the service provided to Rahimi involved more than just a tow and involved large scale clean-up of the scene. But, Rahimi said there are limits to the insurance and it will not cover all the damage and expenses associated with the crash. Rahimi took his concerns to the City of Carmel, which then started looking into the practices of towing companies in the area. "Carmel is looking into the possibility of creating an ordinance that would regulate the rate allowed for towing for companies that work with Carmel Police Department when they request a tow," said Nancy Heck, director of community relations for Carmel via email. "This is usually, but not exclusively, for towing as the result of an accident where it is important to clear the roadway as soon as possible." Other cities already have such ordinances in place. I wish 0 stars was an option, I needed a tow 5 minutes away from this location and they told me that they only service Westfield, IN. So I scrolled down my list of tow companies and saw that Carmel Towing was also only 5 minutes away, and when I called, the same guy answered and told me that he'd just talked to me and that they didn't come to where I was, literally 5 minutes away from them in CARMEL. I can only assume that he heard an African Americans voice and did not want to service me. read more

They're a little pricier than my last towing service but oh my gosh, the level of professionalism and quality of service are night and day! Yelp needs to give a zero stars option. There has never been a more deserving recipient than this bunch of rip off artists. My son had an accident approximately 1 mile from their lot on Friday. I showed up on Monday to claim the car and pay the bill. It was almost $400. Shame on the city of Carmel for using these scammers to do their towing. Their receptionist had the attitude of, "Hey, we know we're ripping you off, but there's nothing you can do about it." I would rather push my car than use this company again. read more

I was in a car accident on Saturday, April 12th and was advised by the police officer to put any personal items that I had in my trunk in my car so that they would be secure. I was rear ended an my trunk was no longer functional or able to close. Paddacks is contracted by the City of Carmel's police department for towing/impounding etc. On April 14th when I signed to have my car released so a body repair shop could pick up my car I was told to remove any personal items I may have. This was during business hours so the gated fence was open but my car was unlocked and my keys were just laying on the dash. When going through my car I had noticed that some of my personal belongings had been removed. I confronted Paddacks about this and they denied having any knowledge about the missing items. These people are scum and will take anything of value from your car if it's in their possession. read more

Zero stars. Avoid at all costs! Dispatched by Hamilton County Sheriff Dept. deputy after curb popped our left front tire and broke the spindle. Upon arrival, Paddack's tow guy (Chad) walked over and asked me to sign a release waiver. The guy hadn't even looked at the car situation. Not hi. Not what happened. Reluctant to blindly sign the waiver, I asked some questions. This guy in a matter of 10 minutes went on to tell me how he couldn't attach at front of the vehicle, ghat he couldn't jack up our car or remove the blown tire (now sideways due to broken spindle) because he had a bad back, told me he would have to attach at rear of vehicle and drag it to the towtruck, preceded to go on a tirade when he learned that he only had two small wood blocks for the job and defiantly threw them on the ground, dropped the f-bomb at least 20 times, stated that he didn't even want to do the job (but if we tried elsewhere, "nobody else would f#@% with it!") He went on to tell my wife that this situation was "as bad as it gets." A blown tire with a broken spindle? She disputed his opinion and he remarks that he "ain't talkin' to a woman" and then told her to get in the awaiting vehicle. Towguy then had final meltdown, said "f#%@ it" and left. After shaking our heads and discussing options, we Googled area wrecker services and decided to call Bannon & Son. Bannon & Son came to Carmel from Noblesville in 30 minutes, we were treated great and Junior took the time in 15° temp to use a jack, remove the blown tire, attach to the front of our vehicle and towed without any problems. These idiots picked up my car in Carmel Indiana and told us if we took it to their shop it would just be $150. We didn't want it at their shop then get stuck towing it somewhere else later so then they quoted out $150 for pick up and then $4 a mile so then 15 miles later it should have been an extra $60... which I would have been ok with. But let's not stop there.... Total came to $360... They charged us the same amount to return to Carmel EMPTY and then some $80 bullsh** for cleanup! I WOULD NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE EVER AGAIN... I was warned towing is a racket and now I've seen it first hand. I will tell everyone I know about these people... I talk to over 500k people a week! being on the radio! btw this all stemmed from my 17 yr. old daughters car accident which was painful enough! Thanks Paddack! read more
