Great experience overall! I first noticed the lack of foot traffic, however despite the amount of people, the experience overall wasn't bad at all. The chef was welcoming, unsure if the restaurant is short staffed or not, however all the staff members were very polite. As for the ambience & interior, it's a classic Italian restaurant. Nothing too special about it, a little outdated but nice overall. The tables were clean, and it's quite spacious. It's kept organized & clean and that's all that matters to me. The food did take a while, yet it was PHENOMENAL. Hot, fresh pizza with just the right amount of sauce that truly compliments the cheese with just the right texture, and a dough that doesn't taste like pure cardboard. Overall, I'd definitely return! Great pizza in the Highland Lakes/Vernon area! Picked up a large pie with pep, mushrooms and olives (great dough to cheese sauce ratio; they do not skimp on toppings!). The Wings were good (very crispy and breaded; not always my go to style but these were good). I appreciated that they were pleasant/professional on the phone and during pickup. If I could give this review no stars, I would. When Paesano opened years ago, I thought the pizza was terrible, that it was the worst in Vernon. My kids even thought it was awful. It still is; doughy, spongy, undercooked white crust, very little sauce and cheese and no seasonings on it. Ugh. The new Goodfellas on Rt. 94, and Nonna Vita in Hamburg blow this place away as far as quality. I also don't understand how and why people think this is good pizza. I went to a hike at the Appalachian trail/Stairway to heaven and man, after a 4hr hike, a slice of pizza sounded PHENOMENAL!! We found Paesano which is literally les than 5min away and thank the pizza Gods they were open! We ordered a pepperoni for my cousin and a plain for me (asked for a very crusty pizza) and they nailed it! I'm glad the place is open and makes my heart smile to see people people coming in and out taking their orders, there's nothing better than supporting your local place especially during this pandemic which has changed everyone's lives and impacted so many businesses. We weren't able to stay inside much but they were very nice. Their pizza tastes delicious, and it's not because I was hungry, it was crusty just like I wanted it and cheesy and OMG it was tasty. I ate here a week ago with a family member. I was told the pizza here was very good so we decided to try it. The parking here can be tight when it is busy here. The place looks like your regular pizza place- a counter displaying the different pies and tables alongs the walls. The pizza maker behind the counter wore a chef's hat. We sat down and the waitress came right over. We ordered a plain cheese pie and a chicken cutlet parmesean hero. The pizza pie was delivered before my hero. I had a slice and was really not impressed at all. The entire crust fell apart from the middle to the end or point of the slice. The sauce and cheese were good but I am a crust guy. The pie seemed undercooked, the crust part at the end too wide. My chicken cutlet Parm hero was not bad, not great. Again the sauce and cheese were good, just a little too bready. This place may have had a bad day with pizza, I don't know. I thought the place was mediocre, not terrible. I really give it 2.4 stars and just rounded it down to 2. I may come back here for a slice or two and if the pizza is better I will update my review. read more

They said that this establishment was a good choice and that they delivered. So we ordered calzone, soup and chicken parmigiana hero. We were satisfied with the quality of the food delivered. Very generous portion and the sauce was good. The one bad thing was that they didn't include any paper plates or cutlery (which I requested during the placing of the order). Confused driver always forgets something and shows up an hour late. Food is usually a miss as I tried them many many times out of desperation and convenience. Found a two inch piece of extra sharp plastic in my minestrone soup made of the soup container. It could have cut my mouth or throat really badly, but luckily I was chewing on it before realizing it wasn't food and pulled it out of my mouth before swallowing. I stopped by here this past Friday evening with my wife and 2 others for a late to-go snack. We drove by here on the way to another place earlier in the night and thought that it looked like a good place to try. Upon entering the restaurant the first thing that we noticed and gravitated towards were all the different slices of pizza that were in the glass which you could order. Then after getting our bearings for a minute we were offered a menu by the cook. From my perspective this seemed to be a pretty authentic pizza place. Besides the area with the pizza slices there was a large clean area for the pizza cook to work and behind that a big oven. On the other side of the restaurant there were tables to sit at which could hold number of people. We ended up deciding to split a buffalo chicken pizza between the four of us. After we ordered we proceeded to watch the cook make the pizza and put it into the pizza oven. Whenever all was said and done, it probably took around 20 minutes from the order to us walking out of the restaurant with the pizza in our hands. The pizza itself ended up tasting rather good and I loved the little spice that it gave off. There was an ample amount of good tasting toppings and the crust itself was probably of medium thickness. That was enough to give it some good bite while not being overwhelming to the rest of the toppings. My only complaint with the pizza was that the cheese and toppings consistently seemed to fall off my pizza as I was trying to eat it. Frustrating for sure but in the end not that big of a deal. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I really enjoyed the pizza that I tried here and would like to try some more! read more

The mussels were just OK, but nothing great, and the bread they gave us with the mussels was stale. That went out the back door for the birds. One of the mussels was unopened, and we didn't want to eat it, fearing it was spoiled.
