I hired Paffy's last year to deal with a Wasp & Ant issue around my home. I purchased a 3-season plan. They came out in the Spring and did the first treatment which ended up solving the problem for the whole year and I actually forgot they were supposed to come back and do two more treatments because I never saw another wasp or ant all summer. This spring I saw Wasps flying around again when I was working on my bike so I called Paffy's to have them come out and treat the yard again. The representative who answered noticed that they never did the additional 2 treatments and acknowledged their mistake which I didn't even realize they had made! She offered to send out the tech for free to do the first two treatments this summer. I just wanted to recognize them for being an honest business that does great work. They currently have 3-stars on yelp which is way too low. Don't hesitate to hire them! read more

Paffy's Pest contol is terrible. The tech showed up at my home with no mask, no gloves, and no shoe covers. He walked through my house and basement wearing work boots and carrying a hand spray bottle of what appeared to be water. It doesn't matter because he never used it anyway. The Paffy's tech never looked in closets or under sinks or even behind furniture. His explanation was that he treated the outside of our house. I called the Paffy's office to complain and left several messages before receiving a callback. Paffy's explanation was simply that they cannot be with every tech on every visit and that they would talk to the tech that made my home visit. Zero effort to make it right. Their seasonal plans are no contract fraud plans that make no guarantees. Avoid them like the plague. read more

These guys are not only unreliable - they are con artists . I paid for a years worth of service-and after their tech failed to show -Twice . I cancelled the service and requested a refund. iThey claimed I was owed 1/3 vs 2/3 of what I paid them up front-although they showed once out of the three appointments.The first tech was unfriendly and unprofessional and argumentative.Ultimately after calling them countless times they refunded what was owed. We were setting traps in the garage because we had seen mice. We trapped 13 in the garage. One night there was one in the house so we called Paffy's. I will say they came quickly, unfortunately that is the only good thing I can say. We were told they would check in the attic when we inquired about this, they did not go in the attic.The kid told us he couldn't detect any mice activity in the garage even though as previously stated we trapped 13. He set out 3 traps and said to call in a few months and they would come and check again. When I called in a few months as told to do the woman on the phone was SO RUDE! She all but called me a liar and said I shouldn't have waited so long to call and that there was no way the tech would have told me to wait that long to call. I worked 35 years in customer service and I can tell you I would have never spoken like I was spoken to by the woman answering the phone at Paffy,s. I can also tell you had I ever spoken to anyone that way my job wouldn't have lasted 35 minutes! Gail G. read more

Spontaneous work! I called and scheduled an appointment for multiple wasp nests for my mom, not only was the person who answered the phone super patient and kind she even got my on the schedule for the next day! Which means a lot since I've called and used other huge pest companies in the past and I've had to wait a week or two! The technician was even a son of the owners I think his name was Joe or josh but he was patient and answered all my questions and concerns. My mom and dad are getting older and I'm always worrying about them. Many companies get annoyed and impatient with all my questions but I'm not always able to be here for my parents and I want them taken very well care of. Overall I'm VERY pleased and would recommend I felt very important from the first call to the service. My mom and dad both said this is the first time the wasps have been FULLY removed with nothing flying around. read more

Just don't Hire Paffy's, even if you think "Hey, local businesses are worth supporting!" I just wrote a review unpacking the copious ways in which this company cannot even do the one thing they advertise correctly: pest control. And then I lost the whole thing, so (now) I will briefly sum up a few reasons why you should take your 3-season pest control business elsewhere. We still have wasps and roaches. This is a HUGE issue in our backyard. Nothing has changed, even after I asked for them to come back out for a second time and actually DO the job we hired them to do. This is the worst customer service we've experienced in Minnesota to date complete with an unsafe technician at the house (no mask, late, no shoe covers, sprayed rugs, etc, blatant lies about what he did and petulant comments in the invoice-- in addition to myriad misspellings). I would also say that the technician did not even alert us to his presence either time he came to the house. As we have dogs and my husband works from home, I was pretty upset. Save your cash and hire someone cheaper with professional technicians who can do a job correctly and successfully. read more

I never would have expected pest control at our 90-year-old house to be something I'd describe as a pleasure, but it actually is: from phone conversations with Megan and Barb to arrange our appointments to the skillful work performed by Choua, our all-star tech, we can't recommend Paffy's highly enough. Choua has gone out of his way to resolve all our issues (including a very unusual one last winter!) and we look forward to his visits because he's so knowledgeable, thoughtful, and fun to chat with. I had an awful experience. I have bees in my basement. I callled and set up an appointment for them to come check it out. The tech areived 2 hours early and sprayed my house without my permission or knowledge. Them left me a bill in my mailbox fo 170 bucks. Wife called to ask why they did this and was treated rudely. When I called back I made them come back out. The tech said that was the wrong treatment for the bee problem and it wouldnt solve anything. The tech then told me there was nothing he could do about the bees and I wouldnt be charged. Two months later I get a call asking for payment for the unwanted treatment that they decided to give me without my permission or knowledge. I ended up calling a different pest control company that solved my bee problem in 15 minutes. read more

Let me first start off by saying that we have really liked this company up until this point. The usual tech we had has always been very nice and professional. Today. Today was a different story. A different tech came for our last treatment of the season. We have a small jack Russell and we keep him locked behind a gate so he was no where near the tech. I could tell the tech was annoyed at his barking but I have a one and three year old at home with me as well so there was little I could do to stop his barking. I asked the tech to go downstairs and spray. When I showed him where he could still here my dog upstairs apparently. He started raising his voice and saying my ears! My ears! Can't you lock that dog up or something?! I said he's upstairs behind the gate. He's not going to be by you. I'm sorry. He continued to say my ears! That dog needs to be locked up! I then began to feel very uncomfortable as he was obviously getting angry. I asked him to leave and just spray the outside to get him out of my house. I have never felt SO uncomfortable with a "professional." Instead of spraying the outside he just stormed out. I told him I would be letting the owner know. To which he replied, "the owner is my dad" To the owner, we loved your company but your son's unprofessionalism and rudeness and aggressiveness have made us take our business elsewhere. I strongly suggest you have your son find employment elsewhere if you want to keep a successful business. read more

I had a mouse problem in the Fall. They came out and put sticky traps and bait out and left and told me that I had a hole in my foundation close to the ground. The tech said he would come back in two weeks and caulk, but that it was too cold that day. A week later, I still had mouse droppings everywhere so I called back. The office asked me if I'd given him a check, (which I had), and they sent him back. When he got here he asked me if they hadn't explained that the bait would take two weeks to work. I explained that I couldn't go two weeks with mouse droppings on my stove and told them I would just put traps on my stove. The tech said he could do that, and put two out. He said that he would follow up in a week - I reminded him about caulking the holes in the foundation. He said the return visit is automatically scheduled, so I would hear from the company in a week. I have never heard from them again. The good news is that the trap caught the mouse in the kitchen and I haven't seen any others - I guess the bait worked. read more

Signed up for the 3 season plan when I recently moved into my new home. They came out promptly and the technician was courteous and knowledgeable. He offered tips and suggestions to avoid problems. He also took care of a yellow jacket burrow in the back yard that was keeping us from mowing. Fast and effective! read more

Take your hard earned money elsewhere. Signed up for Season's Package roughly $480 after tax. (spring/summer/fall) in January 2020 due to mice problems. Staff failed to explain that renewal/start service for package begins in the fall & ends with summer. Spring and summer services were rendered and scheduled. Called to schedule fall after emailed was sent to do so. Was told to renew $450 (w/out tax) in order to get service. Confused I emailed the company for an explanation, Deb returns call the following day only tell me I was in the wrong and that it was stated at sign up. Clearly I did not get this information as I would not pay for a "package" without full service. "It's how the company does it." No apologies for not having clear statements on contract or simply on their website that states, season starts in the fall, runs through summer. Rather it's advertise in the order Season's Package of Spring/Summer/Fall. Long story short: mice problems weren't resolved. Each different tech kept pushing out "let it run its course" they set bait and check up every 2 months. Not effective. Purchase your own poison blocks as that's what they use. It's unfortunate that this was our experience as our problems with mice is unresolved, entry point was never discovered just a push off. As the cold season is back so are the mice. Deb offered to tweak their service and render fall service at the end of our phone conversation after repeatedly stating that I was in the wrong paffy's would not make the mistake of not having explain how their package worked. Dwayne, the owner, found the source of our case-making clothing moth problem for which we will be eternally grateful. This longtime, local, family-owned business really does treat the customer like family, as they say they do. SKIP THE BIG CHAINS! Terminix, which we had used in the past for a different problem, and Orkin, wanted to sign us up over the phone, without checking out the problem in person, for a contract for continuing services that, as it turns out, we did not need.
