I am sorry to read that one local had a very bad experience with the staff and overall was not happy with the service or knowledge of the staff. I personally have never had that experience. Most people do not get into Vet practice or work because they have ill intent toward animals or people; they know they are not going to get rich, they know their heart is going to break over and over again, yet they still help and do the best they can to help not only our pets, but in doing so also help us as well. We just had to put down a friend of ours we have been with 24/7 for 12+ years, the staff, the dr., heck the person who put the rug on the floor, all of them, were kind, thoughtful, caring and did the best they could to make a very difficult time just that little bit less difficult. We came to Page to visit Antelope Canyon. As you know there are no pets in the canyon but we had our pup with us. We had to find a solution. After looking all over, I saw there is pet boarding company in Page, but when I called the lady seemed busy not kind and the reviews here on Yelp weren't the best. I then found an old article that said that Page Animal Hospital boarded animals. I immediately called. This place is professional, I was helped and was able to book for the next day. When I arrived the office was clean and the office staff was very kind. They put my small dog in a nice size kennel and even took her blanket and food to help make her more comfortable. They walked her and when I picked her up she was in the same condition I left her in. Leaving my pup here made my heart feel comfortable while we did the tours we wanted to do. And the price was affordable. This to me was the best option. read more

Saw our dog as we were passing through on a summer vacation. Dog had gotten some fox tail stuck in her tonsils. Diagnosed it and took care of her within minutes. Even received a follow up call a couple days later. Very friendly staff and was happy they got us in so quickly. read more

This was such a nice place. My sisters and I came to Page AZ for Vacation. On our trip our pup got a week stuck in his foot and it was infected. I called this place to see if they could take us last minute. They where more then happy to even though they where fully booked for the day. This vet in my opinion is very incompetent i took my 13 week old puppy in saturday they tested her for parvo the test came back positive and they sent me home with just my dog of 13 weeks. The vet was out sick so this morning i am burying my puppy whom i have only had for a few weeks. I will never ever take another animal to this hospital again. The staff did not know what to do. They did send me home with a bag of Lactated ringers but with no needles. They will be hearing from my attorney, i will also be demanding my money back. read more

I am really sad Dr. Roundtree retired. I am even more upset that he sold his business to Dr. Bret Miller. He has not only jacked up prices 4 to 5 times what they were, but put surcharges on EVERYTHING. Add to that, the fact that he is not even half as thorough as Dr Roudtree was and misses details, means I will be looking for a new Vet. I drive several hours to Page to see him, but there is no reason for me to drive out of my way anymore. read more

As a mommy of two dogs (one here, one in Heaven) and a 12+ year resident of Page, I've patronized the Page Animal Hospital for a long time now. The staff there are very friendly (know all their customers by name, just like the song "Sunset Grill") and the principal veterinarian Dr. Roundtree is also a longtime member of the community. They have a nice dog boarding area, which I've utilized on several occasions - it must be nice because every time I go to pick up my dog after I've been gone for awhile, she doesn't want to leave! A couple of years ago I had to make the difficult decision to euthanize my 16-year-old Akita-Chow mix, Spanky. They were so sympathetic to my sadness at having to face the reality of his situation and repeatedly assured me that it was the right thing to do, I wasn't taking the easy way out, etc. They helped arrange for his cremation and sent his cremains back in a really nice urn and afterwards, they even sent me a "doggie sympathy card." They're great folks. read more

As a long time Lake Powell resident and animal lover I've relied on Page Animal hospital for many years. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Roundtree has helped me through several odd pet problems - a cat with a recurring virus, a chihuahua with a knee replacement, a cat and a dog with allergies (hopefully not to each other) and the list goes on. One thing I always find reassuring is after a problem or surgery, the Dr. calls to check up on the patient - yes, the Dr. That is customer service other businesses could sure pick up on. There are some folks that say the prices are too high at Page Animal Hospital - my thought on this one ~ you get what you pay for on this one. read more

Dr. Roundtree and his staff did an amazing job with all 3 of our furbabies while they were away from their Primary Vet Doctor in Poway, CA. His staff and services were always fast, friendly and accommodating to our family. We don't live here in Az but reside in San Diego where my husband is stationed and throughout deployment took care of our pups' medical needs, emergency medical attention and general health! I was last at Page Animal Hospital as "Joe Tourist". While traveling through AZ we found a dying dog by the side of the road and brought her to Dr. Roundtree to be euthanized. Instead he evaluated her and gave us the option of bringing her home to California for further treatment. 8 years later and we still have our treasured mutt Scout and think back on the kind, giving and professional staff at the Page Animal Hospital. My husband and I were camping on lake Powell when my dog became extremely disoriented. He could not hold his urine and was lethargic. We were so sacred. We got off the lake immediately and headed directly to town to a vet. I walked into the vet and no one was around. I could hear them talking in the back. I said hello like 3times with no response. Finally I saw a man in the back. I said hello again. He put his hand up and said we are very busy today. We have dogs coming out of surgery and other pets being seen as well. Which of course is expected, but he never came out of the room to ask what had happened or to look at my dog and see if he needed to be seen immediately. There was no one waiting. Not one person in the waiting room. Another girl walked in while I was there and said nothing. She just went behind her desk! I walked out..... if this is how they treat people I am not letting them touch my dog!!!! read more

Seriously awesome!!! We took our dog, Duey, with us on a cross country road trip at the end of July and there was only one stop that didn't allow pets....so after some serious research we found Page Animal Hospital. Wow, I was SO impressed!! Duey can be an incredibly big old nervous chicken but warmed right up to the staff and whined when we picked him up the next morning!! You will never find a more caring and knowledgeable vet! Our dogs loved Dr. Roundtree and he showed a genuine interest in them. He would always take time to talk with us and explain things and we never felt rushed. Even after we moved away from the area after 7 years, he took the time to respond to an inquiry I had. My dog needed his 2nd DPT and (distemper, parvo and?) shot while we were on vacation. The staff was quick about getting us in that day, and they were all super sweet, the cost was reasonable ($90) for what vets charge these days. The vet introduced himself to us. Did an exam, but didn't say a dang thing like "heart sounds good, lungs clear, heartbeat regular and strong" NOTHING!! that cost $60 about and I realized on my way to the car that I had no idea if he found anything unusual. I ASSUME nothing was abnormal, but it would have been reassuring to hear it. And for that $ he could at least have said so. Sheeeesh. He gave the shot and of course recommended other tests that could have been done, but added they weren't needed at this time, I could get them done at home when we got back. I just paid $587.00 for my pugs teeth cleaning, I don't act like I'm a dog specialist because I'm not but this is what happened, 3 months ago my wife and mother took there pug and Yorkshire in to find out how much it would be to have their teeth cleaned they were told they needed a wellness check done prior to the cleaning and visit, both women were under the impression the (special price) was all the exams and cleaning for the price of $238.74 -wonderful so they both paid $238.74 on the spot, both were given 2 little containers for urine and a stool sample and told to bring it in the same day it was collected. that was done and 2 months later we still didn't hear about results, finally the said they could get my dog in for cleaning (understanding china wuhan covid has interrupted many around our small town and businesses) so we brought him in today at 8 am and picked him up at 1:00pm that's when I got another bill for $327.76 on top of the first bill, the doctor told me the blood work should be done 2 weeks prior to surgery not 2 months and it was 2 separate procedures and the first wellness exam was not necessary for cleaning and a single front tooth extraction $15.00. I feel they were mislead and not properly instructed about the billing, the doctor and lady's I talked to were friendly and seamed caring but I still paid a total of $566.50 for my pugs cleaning. he is very well kept and I'm upset about my wife and mother being mislead about cost. ask questions and don't leave it up to them or you will over pay just like I did. read more

So we found a stray puppy and wanted to see what was wrong with her cause she wasn't using her leg. This was the nearest vet so we took her in.. The man who helped us gave no eye contact no questions asked he look at it and gave us antibiotics for her..Turns out her leg was broken and had to be amputated....bad service...DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!! read more

We dropped off our 50lb WHG, Chewy, off for the day with Page Animal hospital so we could explore Antelope Canyon. It was excellent. Would definitely recommend. While they probably are not known for boarding dogs, they were super nice and let Chewy have a lot of outside time so he wasn't just locked in a kennel all day. It also seemed like when they had breaks they tried to interact with him. The lady working the front area is wonderful. read more

Dr. Roundtree and most of the staff did an excellent job with my baby. He was very informative and made sure our issue is being resolved properly. My only complaint is that while I was waiting one of the staff members was literally yelling at another client about personal matters. I was trying to mind my own business but it was so loud I couldn't help but hear the whole conversation. Very unprofessional of her, especially after I found out she was the office manager.
