I have been a patient of Dr Curtis Page for 10+ years. I have seen Dr Page 4 x a year every year. Dr Page is a local born, board certified, Harvard educated, family practice physician. I have found Dr Page to be very knowledgable, thorough, and passionate about keeping me healthy,. He is a clear communicator and a good listener. As a senior, he has managed my care holistically, incorporating the latest research. Recently, he quickly diagnosed a potentially life threatening infection that is known to be easily missed. This allowed me to avoid heart surgery. His daily care during my hospitalization was a real plus. His office has an lab for bloodwork and low cost pharmacy on site. I don't understand the bad reviews. I kind of do, but I also really don't get it either. I think part of it is that I've been coming to this office for so long over the past two decades while I've been in and out of Arizona that I've seen a lot of changes since this began as a doctor's office probably before I was even thought of in the womb. The office now has a wound treatment center, a pharmacy, and their own X-ray labs (and blood labs). It's basically a day time hospital for non-emergencies, so it gets busy but the care has always met medical standards. Have I waited 3 hours in the past to be seen? Yes. Have I had a new doctor I'd never met gaslight me in 2022 for my cannabis use? Yep. A nurse even accused me of lying about how I broke my rib, ensuring me I was in a safe space to speak about domestic violence. I was not being abused, and I didn't appreciate the skepticism, but I can still admire the fact she cared enough to ask. A lot of people are happy to turn the other way. And honestly, no matter where you go in America, you're going to have good and poor quality doctors. It's just the nature of any industry. My current PA is awesome and has helped keep my medical conditions under control. Doctor Robert saved my dad's life before my dad realized he was in the early stages of cardiac arrest. Doctor Curtis got my husband admitted to the hospital before his condition worsened (and I almost lost him twice that year). The pharmacy is slightly higher than what I'd pay at a local Walmart, but oh boy, it makes up for itself in convenience. No lines, no wait beyond 5 minutes, and no chasing down referrals to the doctor's office since it's right here in the same location. I recommend this office a hundred times over and will continue to return for as long as I reside in Arizona. read more

I don't understand how this practice stays afloat. They are THE WORST. ARROGANT - both nurses AND doctors. UNINFORMED - when I expressed doubt & shared what I'd learned about a certain thing that began with a "V" I was nearly yelled at, ridiculed (which did NOT age well for them, that's for sure) DISORGANIZED - only takes a glance at the comments to see how inept this practice is on every level. Do you REALLY want a group like this being your "go-to" for medical needs? If unsure, look up Curtis Page MD on Yelp. Can't even bury their crap review or obvious INCOMPETENCE with a seperate Yelp account. All in all, the people speak. This place sucks. Have been going here for over 20 years. Now we drive 200 miles to see them and it is worth it. Excellent care under Robert & Curtis. PA's are outstanding too! Audrey caught my wife's cancer early. Alex was able to get me through a troublesome lung issue that even Mayo overlooked. And Jessica has been wonderful. A great team! Miss Jerry and the in-house X-ray's. read more

Great practice, been going there for years and they go out of their way to help their patients

They take a couple of days to return calls. Their "after hours" staff fails to take a useful message. The prescription person takes a couple of days to get back to the patient, if at all. The patient has NO CLUE when prescriptions are sent in, how they are calculated, WHY numbers are changed, etc., because the staff just plain does NOT communicate. When they finally call back, they tell me to follow the directions from the pharmacy. The details that they provide the pharmacy are WRONG; I've been taking these meds for years. I provided them with a spreadsheet with details of all meds; it really can't be that hard. I have yet to see an actual doctor. They schedule appointments for chronic issues too far apart for standard labs. The PAs lack curiosity of patient concerns. They insist that patients with a sinus infection wear a mask and fail to look at ears, nose, and throat for related issues. Bizarre! I cannot recommend them at all. read more

STAY AWAY!!! They put false information in my medical records. They charged for medical care that was not given. They billed the insurance company incorrectly which delayed payment. It was their own mistake and they sent it to collections! This place is terrible. read more

I saw Audrey Lands, the Dr's PA, the for an issue with a nerve in my face. She Lied and left me hanging. When I contacted the office they all got nasty and finally set up a video appointment with dr Page. Instead of dealing with the issue he told me to get my care elsewhere when I was a mess from the medication his PA told me to take and never called in the prescription with the amount and duration. All his staff were as rude and unkind as he is. I worked in physician management for 15 years and have never seen a practice run this dysfunctionally or as uncaring about their patients. Genevieve is the best doctor they have here. Every time you call, your ALWAYS asked "to hold." So obviously there busy. Sometimes the front desk staff is pleasant and sometimes they're short or curt, I guess it depends on the day. Dr C Page did a procedure in office on my husband that actually made things worse and left him with a bigger scar than the one he already had. We later had to go to a surgeon to correct the issue. Today, my 3yr old had a 7:30am appt, for two vaccines, before school starts at 9am. It's now an hour later and he is finally being loaded into the car. It took an hour for them to get a provider in the room and give two vaccines. I feel as if this place doesn't value its patients time. They constantly make us wait more than a half hour in a room, before you even see the provider. They are a convenient location for us as a family. However, appointment times don't mean anything to this tactics, because they don't value our time. So you'll wait till they get to you. I've waited for more than hour past my appointment time, once, to see Sara. So, if you expect to be seen when your appointment is, don't go to this place. Because it won't happen. read more

Listen to the reviews definitely I started going there for treatment the dr asked for labs went to my appointment and they did the wrong labs 2 times went back for a urine sample and they did that wrong as well waited 5 days to contact me and let me know they did not keep the urine at correct temperature and f*d up again. I drove out over an hour for an appointment for two issues, only to be told they don't have time for me and I would have to schedule another appointment and pay a second co-pay just to have my second issue addressed. I wish I had checked Yelp before coming here, but I guess I'll add my story to the pile. My first appointment, I arrived and was informed that my appointment had been canceled. They said they called, but I never received a call, voicemail, text, or any other notification. All I received was the automated SMS that I had an upcoming appointment. I had already waited for this appointment several weeks, and was scheduled for another couple weeks out. I came here seeking to establish care as my old doctor had moved. Specifically, I needed to refill a medication which I was almost out of and I had a question about medication interactions with another medication I was considering starting. The PA I saw basically told me to Google it regarding the interaction, and said since I wasn't completely out yet, I would have to come back to see doctor Page at a later date. The whole reason I made an appointment with you now is I want to get a refill lined up BEFORE I run out. I make an appointment for a later date to see Dr. Page, which they promptly cancel. What is the point of making an appointment if literally every time I have one as soon as it comes they tell me they need to cancel? In addition to the above, this place gave me the creeps. I've been seeing Dr. Audrey at this clinic for many months. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say she took her time, listen to everything I had to say, problem solved with me, and I've never felt more heard, and understood by a doctor. She took my requests with consideration and talked out problem-solving solutions with me and gave me pros and cons of all of the options I presented. She was absolutely amazing. I've never waited more than about 20'mins max for my appointment. I have only had to call the desk once and they took care of what I needed right away. read more

Pretty much every time I come into this office I have had to wait 1-2 hours (with an appointment). The last blood draw I had the phlebotomist went though my vein WITH a butterfly needle. I was bruised for weeks and was unable to workout for days. I convinced my husband to do a physical and after his blood draw no one ever called to give him his results. We were calling for weeks just to get some information. I looked at my last appointment records and in the notes it said "patient is overweight" and "recommended heart healthy diet and exercise." I just want to note that I am a personal trainer, I workout 6 days a week, and eat very healthy. Oh and I have 16% body fat but all the 13 year old physician assistant cared about was my number on the scale (with clothes on, heavy shoes, and things in my pocket). BE BETTER PAGE FAMILY PRACTICE. I would give zero stars if I could. Myself, spouse and son have been patients at Page family practice for 2-3 years now. They are our family PCP. There have been so many red flags, disappointed appointments, rude service, lack of care, absolutely no follow through or follow up, lab results are not given in a timely manner if at all. The front desk is absolutely useless and horrible. Not to mention you'll constantly be put on hold, and when they are on the phone they sit in dead silence leaving you to wonder if they're still on the phone. They don't fax orders or chart notes like they say they will do (currently waiting on this and it's been weeks). They're clueless. All about profit and not actual patient care whatsoever. Maybe because we're minorities, or because we're in a younger demographic than most of their patients (from what I've seen). I don't know what the reason is, maybe they simply don't care. Either way do yourself a favor and find a better, more knowledgeable, more professional, more caring PCP than here. We were trying to hold off until the new year to switch to a new PCP but the horrible front desk staff and lack of dr./ nurse care really just has been the final straw. read more

This practice is sub par in so many ways. First, I have had labs just go missing only to come in and retake them again only to then be told upon after giving blood again that they already had the results of my labs and asked ME why I was doing them again. Because YOUR employee told me that they had no record of me taking my first labs. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned to have the physician see my son for a check up. We waited over an hour past our scheduled appointment at 3:30pm. We were never approached by the staff to let us know what was going on. I asked one of the women at the front desk who then just told me that he is running 30 minutes behind. Well, that was her blanket statement at 50 minutes past my appointment. I told her it's almost an hour past and she just looked at me with a blank stare. We ended up leaving at just a bit past an hour. When we told the front office staff that we were leaving not once did they apologize or act like they cared at all. Extremely unprofessional, non-caring, and inept. I am never coming back, and if I were you then I would avoid this place at all costs. read more

Dr. Curtis Page is the best doctor that I have EVER encountered. There are so many medical problems with my loved one right now, I don't know what I would do without him and his office. Kudos to you Page, for listening to your patients, not judging them, and tirelessly looking for answers to extremely complex problems. I am indebted to you for eternity sir. I had an appointment on Tuesday of this week and was 11 minutes late. I was told I could not be seen, which was a bummer, and I understood. Today, I returned for at 2:30 my rescheduled 3:00 appointment. At 3:40 I asked how much longer the wait would be and was told "just a few minutes." At 4:00 I walked out. DOCTORS RUN 1.5-2 HOURS LATE! DO NOT GO HERE, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE GARBAGE. I have been seen here by George (who is great, the others... Not so much). I have a potentially lethal bacterial infection. I tried booking an appointment that was cancelled. I was told there is a provider I could see later in the day, but he typically runs 1.5 HOURS late. I asked if I could call in before my appointment to find out how late he's running, and then show up closer to the time I would likely be seen. Was told they do not do that sort of thing. I commented that being that late and expecting patients to wait that long is unprofessional. Receptionist, who is NOT FRIENDLY OR PROFESSIONAL said my comment was inappropriate. Unfortunately, when a comment is valid AND correct, it is appropriate. Receptionist (R): Actually, we don't do that. You have to come in at your scheduled time. Me (M): So you want me to come in and wait around 1.5 hours. R: umm yeah M: that's very unprofessional R: actually that's a very good thing, and that comment was inappropriate M: if a doctor is running that late, and you expect me to wait 1.5 HOURS, instead of calling in to find out when the real appointment time is, is unprofessional R: *teacher from Peanuts (Snoopy, etc.)* Weh, wah wah, weh weh weh M: *click. Robert Page (Dr Page Sr) has been my GP for 30+ years. He is an excellent doctor -- conscientious, caring, and willing to explain issues until you understand. Also, he saved my life. Caught an anomaly on my prostate and got me to an excellent oncologist (Dr Jue Wang at U of A Cancer Center), who in turn got me into surgery JUST as the cancer was about to spread. So thank you Dr Page, for that and for many years of excellent care! read more

This is a place you go as a last resort. I have had nothing but issues but terrible doctors that don't care or believe you, waiting way over your appointment time to doing the wrong blood test and having to go back in 2 weeks later after I called them to confirm they messed up. They didn't have Ben bother to call me I had to make the call. Aside from that I had my daughter taken here a few times, I am the main insurance person, I signed up and filled out all her paperwork. But apparently I as the father can not pull her record (sexist much?) only her mother was authorized. Insomnia since age 30, I had always been prescribed a benzodiazepine (controlled substance) by my psychiatrist. Psychiatrist retired, and my PCP du jour at Page Family offered to prescribe it. I thanked them. 2 years later, I am diagnosed with Narcolepsy. I am prescribed Modafanil stimulant (also controlled). Not too keen on seeing the sleep specialist, the Page practitioner (it varied) also offered to prescribe that. Ok. Next the DEA starts a nationwide crack down. One morning, a nervous, irritable & rude Dr Page walks in. I had never met him before. He doesn't make eye contact or shake hands. He examines the Urine test to make sure I was taking the meds (I was) and the controlled substance report, unable to see any discrepancies or doctor shopping going on. He says I have to return to specialists, which was an acceptable decision. But Dr Page is using the words "Uppers, downers" to describe the prescriptions & otherwise reacting like I was a junkie. He just as rudely walks out. He did not seem to realize that his staff prescribed the medication out of their free will! Then he returns with an artificial sympathy and wants to prescribe (and notate in his records) the ADHD drug Strattera to treat my Narcolepsy. I tell him I tried the drug 20 years back, for ADHD and it did nothing. This did not stop him. He was obviously looking to make the paperwork look good before a final exit. His staff called me for months, to help with the Strattera prescription authorization, even though I told the good doctor It was ineffective & didn't want it. The greater challenge here is that impersonal, McDoctor's offices like Page Family are more and more common. Most good PCP offices aren't taking new patients. read more

This is by far the worst heath care facility I've been too. Dr. Page is a joke. He claims to be a specialist yet he has his nurses do every bit of his job. He didn't even know my name prior to entering the room. I left with 3 new medications when just trying to refill old ones. On top of that! His medical marijuana script was NOT legal. The Marajuana Dr. has reported him. He also refused to refund a co pay when I didn't get the services I came for. Instead- his staff didn't call me back after their discussion about my follow up appointment. So I am now out and went to refill- just to be told I need to be seen for the refill. Which their staff never called to schedule after the co payment dispute and illegal script. So he had taken and changed my prescriptions and now that I'm out won't fill them. What mental health care provider thinks that's ok? This place is not somewhere to go for reliable, dependable, evidence based practice. read more

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Page. In fact he performed my vasectomy in 2002. I go there for my physical, etc. When it comes to the doctors, no complain. However, their customer service, especially in the front desk, and telephone etiquette, needs a total overhaul. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. Me and my daughter tested positive for COVID-19, I called to set up an appointment. The first lady asked for DOB's and said that she couldn't find us in their system, then suddenly the call ended. I dialed back and the second lady had to finish her laughter and joking with her peers before telling me to hold. After a few minutes she came back only to find same results. She said that they are not taking new patients, although me, my wife, my mother whom I referred, we were given the elbow. I asked for advice since they would not be able to assist me. When I asked that, she said I had an attitude and was going to hang up. I asked her if she was going to hang up AGAIN, she replied that her coworker hung up by mistake. I asked again, we have Covid, what do you recommend we do? At which point, she transferred me to a "manager". Just as expected, went to a dead end voicemail. Left a message with my number but so far, nobody has called me. Are the doctors aware of what goes on with their customer service? Do they care? Sad to say, after 20 years of being VERY patient. I call it quits with this office. NEVER will I go back again. Shame read more

NOT WORTHY OF star rating! Cody Byrd (use your imagination as to what type of Byrd def. not a doctor!) saw my mother for a nasty cough she developed. Diagnosed her as having allergies and prescribed her medication and obviously did not bother to look at her patient chart, as the meds he prescribed were not for people with pre-existing heart conditions. Which she has! now we are sitting in the office for so far one hour. still waiting to see a doctor (if there is one) to re- evaluate the situation. Now that we've seen Dr. Page he tells us they give the prescribed medication out like CANDY! Pretty sick analogy (probably a typical pharmaceutical company kick back incentive!) He didn't want to believe the "candy" should not have been prescribed to her. I told him the pills made her heart feel heavy and she was diagnosed with A fib. so he has ordered for an EKG. Guess what?!? He confirmed the A fib but, still says the medication is safe!!! read more

I've worked in medical over 11 years and I've done my time in family practice. I called to see if I could have a blood draw prior to my upcoming apt because I need it done before for proof of immunity. The woman who answered the phone was very inconvenienced by me and talked to me like I was an idiot. She is the first interaction you have and can't take 2 min of her time to be pleasant on the phone. I liked the PA there but I won't be returning because of that interaction. read more

Page Family Practice is now part of Premier Medical Group LLC. After getting a recent invoice for work that I thought was covered by my insurance, I get an invoice from Premier Med Group. I called and asked about it. I was told that the questionnaire they asked me to fill out has a fee associated with it. The questionnaire asked such simple things as how are you feeling? do you ever feel sad? happy? Now I learn that I could have declined to fill it out, so it's important to ask if there are fees when filling out paperwork. read more

My one star goes more towards the back office than the doctors. The doctors are kind of ok, you never get to see the same one though so you're always wondering who you are going to see. It goes from a doctor that prescribes you to drink more water, OJ and probiotics; to a doctor that over prescribes you antibiotics. But this isn't the main issue. Back office: They sincerely suck! From holding on the phone for about 15-20 minutes just to make an appointment (if they don't hang up on you), or waiting for about 5 weeks to get a bill (at this point they send you a delinquent notice), or... even worse, they do not send you a bill and you get a call from collections 3 months later. They really need to make some improvements in their billing department. Their unfriendly staff at the front desk is not even worth mentioning. read more

Perhaps my experience was different than the other posters. I arrived 20 minutes early and was seen in 10 minutes, as a new patient! Check that 10 minutes early at a doctor on Mill at 5:20 PM. So I roll in to my exam room get vitals, freak out because doctors give me anxiety, but have some quality interactions. The nurse was super efficient, calm, cool, and collected. When she left I said thanks and she legit stopped, made eye contact, and thanked me back. I saw a PA who was the chilliest most understanding human ever. She was quick, faxed a script for my meds while we chatted, and recommended a physical. Bonus points for having blood draws on Saturdays! No missing work and no hangry patients! As far as the office cleanliness goes, it looked recently refreshed and decent. It seems more like a med spa vibe, decor wise, than a doctors... but hey man, if you can't relax you're in the perfect place to have blood pressure treated hahaha. read more

Avoid this place and save yourself the hassle Just avoid this place. I wasted 2 hrs trying to be seen by this doctor. I was not seen by the doctor so I cancelled and then treated poorly by one of the staff (one of the other receptionists were friendly and polite). They were late to see me and then rude when I explained I needed to cancel. I think they are probably trying to overbook the amount of patients they can see, getting behind and then blaming patients when they insist on being treated as humans and not cattle. The doctor could be a great doctor for all I know, but he was so late i never got to see him. what I do know is that ratio of rude to friendly staff if too high for me to consider ever returning to sit and wait for another extended period of time. read more

I have been a patient at this office since I moved to Arizona. I've only ever had good experiences. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but when it's my turn to be seen I appreciate that they take as much time as I need instead. I've had several different things done from blood work to mental health appointments and I've always felt taken care of. Sarah Bruner is the most caring and genuine human I've had as a doctor, and I'm thankful for her help every time I've had to come in. So, five stars in my book. read more

New to AZ, so looking for a doctor. Found, Page Family Practice at 5030 S Mill Ave D12, Tempe. No thank you! I have been there 2 times and both times I saw PA George, not a doctor. Ordered test not needed. Then couldn't even explain my blood results. The office employees didn't listen. I told them I wanted to see a doctor, this was my 2nd visit to PA George. The office is Not real friendly. So between the office help and only being able to see PA...I am still trying to find a good doctor. read more

I cannot recommend this practice. They have too many patients, not enough time and unfriendly staff at the front desk. I went to see a nurse practitioner, not a PA or a physician. Nothing against the nurse, but that's not what my insurance is paying for. She was not very helpful when the blood tests showed normal range, she just shrugged her shoulders and said, "I wish I had more answers for you." I had to advocate for myself ad request additional blood tests for other things without her even suggesting it! There was no feeling that she was going to try to get to the bottom of what was going on with me. And even when they did the second blood test, they put the blood in the wrong color vial and the proper tests weren't run. There is always a long wait and it's just not a good situation.
