My AC went out late at night in the Summer, I tossed and turned in the 90+ Degree heat all night...stressed and worried that I would possibly have to endure a tortuous hot day at home. Unable to sleep very well, I got on my Trusty Yelp app and looked for Ac Repair and lo and behold I saw a Company with 5 star reviews and open at 8 am. So soon as it hit 8 Am, I gave them a call and Ken answered the phone almost immediately and said to expect him in an hour or less to arrive at my door and so he did with his assistant. We have had these fellows come do a tuneup on our system the past two seasons and they did a great job. Our heat pump was 17 years old and the heat exchanger up in the attic was 25 years old. Today, we had both replaced. It took all day to take out the old parts and install the new. It was a very difficult job, but John and Ken and the crew stuck with it and got the job done. Ken is wonderful. He is the kind of person you can trust to do what is right. Several years ago we had a competitor install our air/heating unit and they were terrible at follow-up, claiming we needed a bigger unit when they had chosen which one to install for us at the time, but when we called Pahrump Valley air, they were able to fix the problems quickly and clean up the mess left by the previous company. The best A/C company here! I had a company out of Las Vegas assigned to me by a warranty company and they damaged my old heat pump unit to the point it had to be replaced. We were afraid that we would not be able to afford a new one at the prices we were being quoted by other companies both in LV and here and we would have to go without. I decided to try one other local company and they came out and quoted me half the price for a brand new unit! As soon as I told them I was ready they had it installed the outside and indoor units within 3 hours and our place was cooling off. This unit works so much better than our old one at 1/3 the electricity. I would tell anyone to use them! They are honest, reliable and friendly! The AC went out and after checking around, I decided I needed a whole new AC unit. It was 21 years old and probably not worth fixing since it needed a new compressor. When I woke up this morning, my house felt warmer than usual. I checked the thermostat and it was 81 degrees even though I had the setting at 77 degrees. The air blowing from my vents was BARELY COOL. After searching through Yelp, I contacted PVAC. James showed up at my house within 15 minutes. He worked on my A/C unit for about half an hour. Last week on the edge of Death Valley in a new home I was moving into the A/C quit. I almost didn't call Pahrump Valley thanks to a negative review. Am I glad I re-thought that and called Richard. It was early and his service advised he could make it out at about 10:30. I was pleased as others had either not called back or could not make it for a day or three. At 9:10 Richard called and said he was having a hard time finding the Ranch. He was there a few minutes later. It took him about 25 minutes to check the system issue after several tests. Turns out we needed help again just a few weeks later. More problems that a simple repair couldn't solve. Today, Richard, Ken, and Andrew came to replace the entire HVAC system. They discovered new unit wouldn't fit through attic access so they cut a new hole in the garage and had the other Ken and his granddaughter come by and framed out the new hole, complete with a hatch cover. Even through it wasn't in the original estimate, there was no charge for this additional work. They showed up at 8:30 as promised and completed entire job by 4 pm, including hauling the old stuff away. We are very happy with the price and the results. read more
