I am a young 65 year old with severe scoliosis and stenosis. I look forward to class each week. Eileen has such a calming , positive energy and has so much knowledge about the body and the healing benefits of Qi Gong. At first I did many of the exercises from a chair, but I am now able to complete the class usually without this modification. I also see a big difference in my breathing when I'm taking walks. I am able to walk up inclines without getting winded. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to follow the form in the online class, but Eileen explains things very clearly, and positions her body so it is easy to follow. She also takes questions at the end which often help me. I am very lucky to be able to be her student because I live in Oregon. Though I can't wait to be "on the other side" of this virus, I hope her Zoom classes will continue when life gets back to normal.

    This is a follow up review. I've read almost every Qigong book out there, watched all the youtubes,…read moreand have learned Qigong from multiple instructors in group classes. These all had some benefit, mostly relaxation. But none of these teachings offered me a true sense of Qi cultivation and most importantly actual noticeable health benefits. Asthma, anxiety attacks and back problems are no longer issues Im plagued with. Since learning Nei Dan meditation from Mindful Qigong. The thing that I did not realize is Qigong is a way of life not just a tool. What separates Mindful Qigong is it's a lineage based teaching. That teaches all aspects of the Dao, Qigong, philosophy, TCM, tea ceremony.... in private classes. This allowed me to understand the subtleties of the teaching in a way I could incorporate in my daily life. Leading to substantial results. Mindful Qigong focuses on cultivating your Qi internally and has little to do with breathing exercises or complicated movements. Honestly some of the techniques I thought were weird in the beginning. But that had more to do with my expectations of what Qigong was from my previous experience. As well as a lack of understanding of the basic fundamentals of real Qigong and TCM. Thankfully I stuck with it over the years. Just like anything really worth doing it takes time and energy. My life is much smoother, healthier and happier. Im truly grateful.
