What a great night at Paint & Vino!! Kyle and Emily were awesome hosts! Our group of about 25 had a fantastic time, with many of us painting in this format for the first time. Emily made it easy, and Kyle did a great job keeping spirits high when we "thought" we made a mistake! Since it was a group, we got a ticket for a drink. The beverage selection was good, and you could purchase a beverage after using the ticket. They offer many classes, not only painting, on their website. Myself and a few others are looking forward to going again another time! So much fun!!

A large group of us (40 people) got together for a paint night. We bought our tickets online ahead of time and all of the supplies including the studio space, a teacher, aprons, paint brushes, snacks paint, canvas, plus two beverages were included in the price - it was a great value! Upon walking in, they check your name off the list (I didn't even have to pull out my digital tickets) and hand you two drink tickets. They directed us to the apron wall and told us they had some snacks available (bakery pizza, watermelon cubes, popcorn, and mini egg salad sandwiches) and let us know we could take any open seat. I was so happy to see there were many options in the beverage case; our drink options were wine, beer, soda, water, hard seltzers, lemonades, and bottles of pre-made mixed drinks that we could chose from. While you can't buy additional drink tickets, they have cans of soda and bottles of water available for only $1 The person working the desk and the paining instructor were easy to talk to and they took great care of us during our time there. While I'm not an artist, and don't even enjoy painting, it was a lot of fun to try something new, catch up with some friends, and watch how everyone's canvases came to life during our session. While I was walking around the room, I was amazed at how everyone's paintings looked slightly different from each other and how they were a reflection of the person painting them. I have no idea what to do with the painting I got to bring home, I guess the real fun was being able to get together with friends and having a nice time doing this activity together.

What a fun night!! A group of six of us went for a what was a really great time and fantastic experience. They hook you up with aprons and all the things you need to make a cool keepsake item. We painted a snowman on a solid piece of wood and with our instructors help we all were impressed and very happy of our work. Don't hesitate to ask for a new paintbrush should you need one. They do get a bit beat up so if a fine line is needed they are more than welcome to trade you a new brush. Your ticket gives you a drink along with your painting and additional beverages are available for purchase. The bar and paint studio operate separately so plan to tip both people accordingly. Small gift items also available. A small parking lot right outside the building with additional space just down the street. Highly recommend! Very fun night.

Corrie was awesome! We came for a private event and she was flexible, funny, easy to learn from and made sure we had a great time. The space itself is nice. Lots of space for bigger groups. The first parking lot is a little small and spots are tricky but Corrie let us know there is a second lot so not to worry. Drink options were plentiful so don't worry about that either. Class is just enough time to get your painting done and feel good about it. No time to overthink. Definitely will come back.

Had an excellent experience at Paint & Vino! The staff and instructors were very welcoming, knowledgeable, and funny. The studio has 2 rooms (one can be for private events) they can fit quite a few people in each room. they also have a mini bar (2 drinks come with your ticket purchase) coat room, and rest rooms, and a small parking lot for off street parking. you can also utilize street parking. I would highly recommend taking a class with them great for solo or group's events. can't wait to go again!

Had the best girls night out ! Went to the Christmas resin class. It was so different and fun. Lived the end results !

Great experience! Class is a lot of fun and easy to follow. Great selection of drinks as well. Best paint and sip in RI!!!

Maddy, Kyle and Derick where awesome!! Matty was the artist that helped my group through every part of the painting! What a great time!

This was our first experience here but we were largely underwhelmed. While this artist's studio…read moremight have once enjoyed some prominence, it struck us as little more than glorified after-school care...under the eye of a slightly crabby individual who, evidence suggests, has probably been doing this a decade too long. What can we say: at close to $200 for 8 classes, we expected more, especially when said classes are offered for young kids of 6 and 7. When money changes hands, one comes to expect a certain amount of flexibility from the staff and, above all, patience with young, energetic minds that may not immediately fit into rigid routines and methods. We wanted our child exposed to more art, not more rules. Budding artists need to get their hands dirty, to experiment, to try, and to fail. Sorry, but this isn't that place. Onward.

Both my children took the project based class for 7-10 year olds. They made a carousel out of wood…read moreand clay. What I really liked about the class was how structured it was and how much they learned about different art techniques. The children also learned about the history of the carousel. The class itself was structured, there were clear expectations and the teacher gave each child individual attention throughout. I was present for most of the classes and I felt that all the children were engaged and excited about their project. I would likely recommend the children's art classes at the Eastside Art Center.

A bad place for beginners. The owner is extremely nice and affable, but his inability to actually…read moreinstruct (particularly for the price of these classes!) is absurd. I initially signed up for a hand-building class and noted that the instructor seemed to enjoy socializing with studio "regulars" more than spending a lot of time truly instructing. Indeed, one day the entire class (instructor included) spent the ENTIRE class talking and no lesson was provided at all. This was of course bothersome, but something that I could work through since hand-building can be fairly intuitive/self-taught. Also, I was motivated to learn and this is practically the only studio in the area that offers these courses. However, I then signed up for a pottery wheel course, at which point the cracks began to truly show in terms of the instructor's limitations in the teaching arena. Certainly, the pottery wheel definitely requires a LOT of practice in order to become proficient. But if the majority of your class can't even CENTER a pot--the foundation of pottery wheel work-- by the 4th or 5th lesson (and are being taught by a few of the other class members who have somehow caught on), that truly indicates there's a problem. I attended several open studio sessions in an attempt to hone my skills prior to additional lessons, but again, the instructor would spend the entire time socializing with others working in the studio. You felt as though you were dragging him away from his chit-chat with studio regulars in order to get instruction that you were paying him for. Two studio regulars sitting beside me at my first open studio session finally took pity on me and taught me how to center, which is certainly not their job. But there you are. I stuck out the wheel course for perhaps 5 sessions, in the meanwhile the majority of other students in my section stopped attending. I finally joined them, as I could certainly think of better things to do on my day off than try to wrangle a pottery wheel with little-to-no instruction. I imagine Dew Claw is a fantastic place for those with a background in pottery who are looking to build on their skill-set. But whether they realize it or not, this studio is truly taking advantage of new students who pay a reasonable amount of money and spend a large amount of their time for little return.
