Brought the kids here for a crafting activity. They had a blast! They picked out their plates and mugs to paint, picked out their colors and had a great time designing their pieces. The workers were super helpful explaining everything and bringing us our paints. It's takes 10-12 days for the art to be ready to pick up so keep that in mind in your planning. They had plenty of holiday and seasonal options in case you're looking for a special gift for a Mother's Day or Father's Day gift/activity. The pottery prices we 20$ and up but they didn't charge studio time by the hour like I've seen other places do, which is great if you have smaller kids. Great activity! read more

We wanted to hang out with friends and do something fun, easy & "peaceful" so after reading reviews on other places and this one we came here. So happy we did. It was Sunday @ opening time. Easy to find in Matthews. The place was so cute and decorated with all art. Sabrina the owner was so helpful, kind and encouraging on all our items we each picked. I'm glad she was patient with me because I took the longest time to paint my ceramic piece. My two daughters loved it and so did our friends. Overall, I had a decent experience although I probably won't come back due to this studio being a little far from me for just ok service. I brought my nieces here for some pottery painting and they had a good time. My issues were: 1. The piece of pottery I chose ended up being more than what I intitally thought it would cost. I was charged more than the price it said where it sat on the shelf. And it wasn't in the wrong spot as there were many of the same pieces in the same spot. It was only a few dollars more and I didn't feel like arguing with the employee. 2. The rule clearly states you need masks to enter. A group of young women came in as we were painting. We were the only customers there before these ladies entered. These ladies didn't have masks on and gave the employee hell when she asked if they had masks. The employee then puts me in an awkward position. Instead of enforcing the rule, she then backs down and says "I'll ask the other people in hereof they are fine with you not wearing masks while you paint" ...... so the ladies start staring me down waiting for my response. To keep the peace and not act crazy in front of my young nieces I said it was fine as long as they aren't near us. We quickly finished and left. Very uncomfortable position I'd never wish to be in. If you have a rule then enforce it with everyone. Don't put your customers in uncomfortable positions. read more

When our daughter came for a visit. I brought them all to Paint your Piece as the kids love to paint pieces of ceramics. While they had a great time I was pretty surprised by the prices of pieces to be painted. We found nothing less than $20.00. And those items were a small strawberry dish and other small items.
