The teachers I have had at this school have been pretty awesome. But, like everyone else has said,…read moreall other staff in the school make attending the school a terrible experience. No one picks up the phone OR returns phone calls. If you do manage to get someone on the phone, they normally haven't a clue of what's going on and seem more worried about getting you off the phone than actually helping. Get your life together cedar valley. Or, better yet, just go away.... nobody likes you.

I'm going to be fair and admit that the teachers I've had have been the most helpful, inspiring,…read moreand kind people I've ever met. Unfortunately I can't say the same for most of the staff up front. Most of them are rude and unhelpful, constantly running you in circles like they have no idea how anything works. The advising staff are very unhelpful as well. Patty Soper-Shaw placed me in two wrong classes my first semester, and admitted to me she had no idea about any of the technology courses I was trying to take. Because of that, I'm now left without the hardware course I needed to take before the software one which leads me to this biggest problem I have with this college. DO NOT TAKE TECHNOLOGY CLASSES HERE! It's a dead end. A majority of classes never have enough students to make the class work, so they're constantly being dropped. The dean of the technology department, Mr. Johnson, came to our class at the beginning of the Fall 2017 Semester to tell us our class is cancelled. He even admitted that the technology classes there are failing tor receive enough students for the classes, and apparently it's been that way for the past 10 years! It's to the point where my degree is absolutely useless, and because of the constant cancellations and mess ups between staff and advisers, my life is now behind because I can't even get a simple certification or degree. I've been at this school for three semesters, and after my class getting cancelled again, I've decided to finish up this last semester and move onto another college. This school is the most unorganized, uninformative, and misleading place I've ever been to. I'm not the only student this has happened to either. I've spoken with many at that school who have suffered from the same problems I spoke about. This school has been a nightmare to go to and get anything done at. I would never recommend it to anyone.

I took it to Visual Expressions and they were up to the challenge of finding a way to frame the puck. We have become frequent customers of Visual Expressions over the last few years and bring everything to them. They do quality work in a reasonable amount of time. Just today I dropped off my wedding day memorabilia to be put in a frame. They worked with me on the layout and selecting the matte and frame. I trust their work and opinions in the layout (I do not have an artistic eye like they do). I am very excited to see the final product when its ready!

It was easy to select the classes and the schedule was easy to work with. The instructor helped guide my kiddo with her projects. They helped unlock my daughter's hidden talent. She was so focused on digital art that I thought it would be too challenging to work with paints, chalk etc. I believe they helped develop a budding artist. They were a starting point for her interest in art. She is currently enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin in college level art building on her experience. I recommend for anyone who wants to explore their inner artist or develop their existing talent.

The experience included a topless server (male) for our party, an instructor and a nude model (also male). Something else that wasn't specified was if you had a female model if you would also have a female server? So not sure on that. I would guess she would be in a bikini or bra top as no nude photography is allowed and they walk around during the entirety of the event serving drinks and handing out pencils as needed. This would be a fun event to celebrate bachelorette parties (obviously), but you could also utilize their services for any type of gathering. I can so see a ladies night in with my friends doing this, but she also mentioned divorce parties (in which case can we have a group of male models I'll take 5 thank u), birthdays for the artsy friend, baby shower because clearly they've seen someone nude and nobody likes baby shower games (she didn't say that but I couldn't resist).... anyways, I digress. The only thing I wish I'd had more of was explanation. Some of them felt kind of rushed and I had no idea how to shade which was detrimental to my artistry (jk my hands are detrimental to my artistry more than anything else)... Would definitely do this again!

At our event, Bobby the server refilled drinks and took care of us during the drawing portion. The instructor and muse were fabulous at providing instruction and maintaining a sophisticated AND fun environment. It was fun to learn drawing techniques, but my skill was just alright! Each round went pretty quickly, so I wish I could have taken a bit more time to draw.

So, is it called 1976 because many believe it is the most consequential year in the history of modern China? (It's Chinese-American owned). Or is the birth year of one of the Law family siblings? I'd guess it's bridging old school 1976 analog craftsmanship with the digital revolution-led letterpress and screen printing, since the store is the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and modern design, with a fully operational letterpress studio (they produce their own stationery), housing vintage, antique printing presses. They also curate independent art and host hands-on workshops. So, the name We Are 1976 suggests a collective identity rooted in a specific era, and their tagline "our dear assembly" is likely their way of saying, "This is the group of people, machines, and beautiful objects we have gathered together." Honestly, I just went in looking for a bathroom. They are 1976 but I was #2.
