While I do think the teacher was a dancer at some point, her ability to teach anyone under the age of 13 is not there. She cannot stay ok task for anything and that isnt good for little kids. Five months of weekly practices and none of the kids (under 10) could remember their recital. 5 months!!!!! The issue with payments is still on going. Every negative comment on here was clearly from a parent who had a child in the school and wasnt related to her. Find somewhere else. Anywhere else!!

Miss Laurie genuinely cares about all of her students and she makes sure that she gives everyone her individual attention and criticism (if needed). That is a quality that most businesses lack. The business is very family-oriented and the students in her classes end up being like family. My family has always loved going to both the dance lessons and swim lessons. This place is AMAZING and if you don't believe me, check out the Facebook page and do your own research. Most places it is an older dancer that works with them and while it's not necessarily a bad thing, it's also not the most beneficial. At The Dance Space, Tara (THE OWNER) teaches the little ones. WHAT? That's right. I personally danced for 13 years and didn't have a studio owner/director work with me until I was 11 or 12. Plus, Tara has more patience and skill with these children than I could ever imagine. Even as a new student, my daughter was welcomed so warmly. We are so happy here and hope to have a long tenure with The Dance Space.

This is our third year at Dance Academy of Mansfield and we love it! My daughter started when she…read morewas two and was very shy and attached to me (that's why I wanted to try dance out just to see how she would do with other kiddos and a teacher that wasn't mom). The first day of class she walked right in and didn't even miss me. I was shocked because she would not stay with anyone besides mom, dad or grandma. She had a blast, the teacher was very kind and welcoming. She has loved all of the teachers she has had throughout the years. They are very professional at dance academy of Mansfield, but also are kind and understanding to the girls as well as the parents. I like that they incorporate different muscle groups in their practices as they do core, balance and stretching as well as dancing. I have notice improvements in my daughters feet and core strength. She has always had flat feet and has had some trouble with balance/coordination and I have noticed since starting dance that has improved. Lastly the production they have at the end of the year is amazing. So cool to watch as a parent. I love that DAOM is not ashamed of their faith and to talk about the Lord and pray; and for that reason is why I drive from Waxahachie to come here. My daughter loves it. I also like that they have classes during the day so homeschool parents can take their kids as well.
