That being said, this is a wonderful facility, and as far as I can tell the instructors are no less than fantastic. The facility is very clean and well kept, and you can tell that the horses enjoy their set ups as well. The arena is pretty substantial in size as far as I can tell (I don't have much of a basis for comparison but I mean... you wouldn't catch me walking a lap in there on foot), and given how few equestrian centers there are around here, they are very fair in price. Also, they mean what they say when they offer lessons for folks of all ages. As someone who hopes to have a small ranch of my own in the future, I also find it lovely that they let you take care of your horse a bit as well. After all, at the end of the day, you aren't just riding a 'thing'. You are bonding with a creature that is a tremendous responsibility and needs to be cared for like family. They love these horses, and these horses clearly love them back. I definitely recommend this place, and I look forward to more lessons in the future.

My 12-year-old daughter is an experienced rider and followed the staff's instructions exactly. She waited until she was prompted to enter the designated dismount area, as directed by the staff. Unfortunately, following those instructions placed her directly adjacent to the horses that had been identified as a concern. As she entered the dismount area, one of the horses reached through the fence and bit her on the right thigh. The bite was severe enough that an attendant had to intervene to get the horse to release her. I immediately took my daughter to the restroom to assess the injury and document it with photographs. The bite occurred through her long pants. While I understand that horses are animals and that unpredictable situations can occur, I was disappointed by both the circumstances that led to the incident and the way it was handled afterward. My daughter followed the instructions she was given, yet the responsibility for the incident was ultimately placed on her. Given the prior warning about the horses, it is difficult to understand why riders were still being directed into such close proximity to them. Equally concerning was the lack of follow-up from management. The owner did not speak with us at the time of the incident, did not proactively reach out afterward, and only returned our call after multiple attempts and a more urgent message. Rather than expressing concern or discussing a reasonable resolution, the conversation was argumentative and dismissive. Accidents can happen, and a sincere apology along with an effort to address the situation would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Between the safety concerns and the poor customer service that followed, I cannot recommend this business to others.

He's been able to participate in all aspects of learning horsemanship, which has not only built his skills but also his confidence. He has become dedicated and is always wanting to do his best when completing tasks. What we didn't expect--but are so grateful for--is how therapeutic this experience has been, especially with his favorite superhero horse, Murphy. Being around the horses has had a calming effect on him, and the ranch has become a safe, peaceful place where he feels comfortable and supported. It has also been a great success in helping with his fine motor delays. The staff are incredibly loving, patient, and understanding. They take the time to connect with each individual and create an environment where everyone can thrive at their own pace. It's clear they genuinely care, and that makes all the difference. We are so thankful to have found Wild Wind Ranch. It's been a meaningful and positive experience for our son, and myself gaining wonderful friendships. We highly recommend it to other families looking for a supportive and therapeutic environment.

He loved the cats and horses and was completely fascinated by the chickens! The owners are incredibly nice and welcoming. There is no fee to visit the animals--you just need to let them know you are coming and check in when you arrive. If you're interested in horseback riding, this also seems like a great place because the horses appear beautiful, gentle, and very well cared for. And I must mention how very clean they keep everything, which is no small feat for a ranch. They also work with the Inland Regional Center clients in the SDP program. If you're not quite in the program yet, they can work with you. You just need to talk to them. I highly recommend visiting Wild Wind Ranch, especially with little ones who love animals!
