This is a little hidden gem in Devore. We came across it after partaking in pony rides that were being offered local to us. When those were paused pending some city requests, I was referred to Cable Canyon. We took my 3 year old son and 9 year old niece for a pony ride. Really enjoyed going horseback riding with Dawn. She knows her horses and knows which horse is best to ride with which type of person. I had gone to one in Norco about a year ago and was upset with them. I prefer riding with Cable Canyon. I grew up going to Griffith Park and with pony rides no longer being offered there, I was glad to know that we have a jewel here in the Inland Empire... and thats CABLE CANYON TRAIL RIDES. Becky Scott there is wonderful. She set aside an appointment time for us to have our grand baby ride and it was beautiful. While the weather was a little overcast, the scenery and shear beauty of the location is BLISS to say the least. We were taken to a nearby stream and were allowed to feed the goats ($5 per cupful) and it was just an overall wonderful experience and I highly recommend! Had such a wonderful trail ride for my birthday here. My tour guide was Dawn and she was phenomenal. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, she made sure to take a lot of pictures for me too even though that meant stopping a lot. It was a very personalized experience and it was nice having a private excursion without a big group for a great price. She brought along 3 dogs on the ride that walked around with us which was super cute. The trail itself was beautiful with lots of flowers, creeks, mountains and views. I cannot wait to return here in the future and would recommend this place to everyone. It is also located about 5 minutes from San Bernardino city area but it feels as if you are out in nature away from civilization which was exactly what I wanted from a horseback riding experience. We had a great time riding horses at Pony Time San Bernardino. They also have pony trail rides for kids. You have to call to make an appointment. It was $25 for 15-20 minutes. The workers were very nice and pleasant. The horses were well cared for and well fed. I highly recommend checking out this new place. read more

I'm not sure this place is even a legit business. 1) I paid to an individual via Venmo. 2) We didn't get instructions on where to go/meet. 3) When we arrived based on Google Maps, we waited at a closed gate on a desolate, dirt road with nothing around. No stable or horse in sight. 4) When nobody showed up, we called/texted owner and it went straight to voicemail/ignored. 5) We waited for almost an hour in our car without a response from the owner. She basically took our deposit and ghosted us. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. I'm disappointed I believed in these positive reviews. We were staying at Wrightwood for a few days and my daughter really wanted to ride a horse. We found Cable Canyon but it was 30 mins away. We called and spoke with the owner, Becky, and she was initially pleasant. We booked for Monday at 1pm but asked if she could be "flexible" with the start time as we were trying to schedule during our 2-year older's nap time. He was staying back at Wrightwood with grandma while we took our other two kids for the horse ride. Becky did not seem to have an issue with the request. Monday comes and our 2-year older naps early. We texted her to see if we could start earlier at 1230pm as we wanted to be back to Wrightwood before 230pm but Becky explained that wasn't possible because they had to "catch" the horses and ride them to the trail. Kids really wanted to go so we decided to drive there there earlier thinking they could play with the horses while we waited. On the drive there, Becky called and we confirmed we're still coming but would be there early. Here's where it gets really strange - we drive on a desolate dirt road to a locked gate with the Cable Canyon side. There is nothing around except dirt and dead plants. We assumed this was the place so we called Becky. No answer. We text her to confirm if we were at the right place. No reply. A few minutes later, we call and text again. No answer or reply. Then 5 minutes again. No answer or reply. This continued for the next 45 minutes and now 15 minutes over our scheduled time at 1pm. So our first thought was we got scammed so we headed back to Wrightwood with disappointed kids. Becky finally texted back (didn't even have the courtesy to call us) and explained she didn't have her phone (questionable customer service) and it took longer to "chase" the horses. Were these wild horses? But the best part of her text - I was hoping you'd be "flexible" with the start time. Well played Becky, well played. Way to waste two hours of our time and disappoint a little young girl. Guess she's never had kids before to empathize with our situation. So it's a hard "neigh" for us next time. read more

Dawn and Becky are the very best! My daughter (4 years old) and I went out on an hour long trail ride. The horses were well kept, Dawn was knowledgeable (and fun!), and all the animals were perfect for a toddler / young kid. I loved being able to ride with my daughter through their beautiful trails, see the wild animals, and have the stable dogs (Sadie, Bear and Pistachio) all following being. They allowed for tons of photo taking time, and guidance on how to care for ponies. I cannot wait to go back. read more

I wanted to take my 6 year old daughter horseback riding but she's never been on or near a horse before. Dawn was super helpful and great with my daughter.
