I frequently stop in to see if I can pick up some artificial, but beautiful realistic looking, florals. Every now and then I get super lucky and they are having a sale, like the 75% off sale they had today, on outrageously wonderful merchandise! I bought three pearl and crystal tree ornaments that were practically free, as well as silky soft pajamas, and a bodacious dressy purse ("Bau dacious" was actually the name of the purse). I am going to have to search for a formal event to attend to show off this purse! I have other formal purses that are too small to even include a phone, and this is the perfect size, as well as a unique work of art! At 75% off, this was splurging without breaking the bank.

My only Complaints were that the heat was so high in the store i felt sick. Especially in the dressing room. The looks seem to appeal to a clientele that is perhaps not *quite* as youthful as Rosewood, but perhaps not as matured as Soho or Spoiled Chics. Set on two levels they have much Pittsburgh themed merchandise. Some of this merchandise I have seen in other stores but some were very unique. Set on two levels they currently have Christmas merchandise reduced by 30% They sell different types of giftware including tea towels with clever sayings on them. Beautiful scented candles in small milk jars, artwork, elixir bottles, baby gifts and so much more. They even have an area where you can get a box called "gather" in different sizes. You can then put what you want in it and they will handle the shipping for you or you can take care of it yourself. Depending upon what you buy items can be a bit pricey. I was blown away by a Pittsburgh painted water bottle. Although it was a slightly higher than what I would pay the detail on it is amazing and it does keep beverages cold for a while once outside the refrigerator. With that i purchased a holiday candle and ornament that was reduced. This is a great store if you're looking for something different or can't get to any place else to shop for local merchandise. Everything was in great condition and fashionable. When I visited, they were doing a sale on everything in the store. I got a wallet phone case, sleeveless blouse and earrings for $26! Right on Potomac ave in Dormont and there is meter parking right out front of the store. The ladies that work there are very nice as well. They told us how they are volunteers and have been working there for years. This is a non-profit store and everything they don't sell within 60 days goes to homeless shelters and a lot of their profits go towards helping the animal shelters as well. The store has been around for 50+ years, which is amazing. The ladies said it originally started out as a trade store for items people didn't want anymore, hence the name. Very cool history and a great place to find a good deal! Will be back!
