I stopped by on this small business Saturday and was pleasantly surprised by the open booths available. There are plenty of places to park and the marketplace is clean. l enjoy the concept of having over a hundred booths to choose goods from. The carts and baskets are normally in the front of the store. They had infused peach water, cake, cookies and alcohol available to celebrate small business Saturday. The peach water was refreshing on a sunny day. I was able to check one third of the store and look forward to returning. The prices on average are affordable and they have an extensive selection. I feel sorry for the vendors because I know they can not be making money to even pay for the rent on the booth let alone to make a profit. It kind of explains why everything is so overpriced. I noticed now there are so many empty booths. The only people who must be having success are the owners. Mostly new overpriced clothing, accessories, and home decor. read more

I love this store. However, they need to update their hours. It says that it opens at 10am on Sunday, yet the doors were still locked and lights off at 10:40. A LOT of people were waiting outside. Otherwise, the staff is friendly, the store is clean, and you will always find something special for yourself or someone else. read more

We are regulars at the NRH PAINTED TREE. Spending substantial amount of money each time. I had bought multiple breakable vintage ornaments a blonde on (11/30) in a brown rodeo sweater was throwing them around like it didnt matter. even after telling her they were breakable she ignored what i was saying with multiple others working there and not jumping in to help. the rudeness, and horrible customer service has made it where i will shop at the grapevine location from now on. I truly wish that their corporate office will see this after ignoring my emails and calls over the past week! This store is horribly run by incompetent and crass individuals who have no care for their vendors or their customers. I was in town visiting my Aunt who is a vendor, and will soon no longer be. She is pulling out of her locations after what we experienced recently. My daughter is 15 years old and has a rare form of muscular dystrophy. She has lost 70% of her vision and tries her best to walk well with assistance while she still can. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of bringing her to the store to support family. I am utterly distraught by what I witnessed. I am very thankful that my sweet Caroline was unaware of how we were treated by the staff at this store. Caroline accidentally bumped into a glass item that was being used as a display near the event table. An employee with blondish hair (50-60's) immediately rolled her eyes and told another employee (20's) to grab something to clean it up. I was upset with the eye roll and lack of help from her, but kept trying to help while calming my daughter. I am distraught after what happened next. As we are walking to the side to give them space, the blondish woman who is clearly of age to be decent and respectful, referred to my daughter as a "retard" when speaking to the employees cleaning up. I was even more distraught when one of them laughed. I will never step foot in or support this location or any Painted Tree location going further. Please train your staff to be respectful and to not judge those who can't control what is outside of their control. While my daughter may be disabled, she is NOT a "retard" and Painted Tree should be ashamed to allow this behavior. Unfortunately, we know management was involved, and this is why my Aunt must vacate. Again, please train your staff. I can't imagine how they treat each other or other customers who might be different. I will pray for those who were mean. I understand that hurt people, hurt people. This is still no excuse. Treat others the way you want to be treated and do not bully and laugh at a disabled child! DO BETTER. read more

I was a vendor for a year and four months and there are a few things I would like to share. Good News: The store was always clean. They always had payment ready for me at the first of the month (that is when I actually turned a profit). Profits were good during the month of December. Bad News: Extremely high turnover of employees and other vendors. Employees bickering with each other or bad-mouthing their co-workers at the checkout counter in front of customers. According to my experience as well as other vendors there during my time, theft is a common occurrence, and not a lot is done to negate it. Wifi doesn't work throughout the building to install your own security device (i.e., Ring camera) and requests for assistance with it went unanswered. When I left, I was met with an incredible amount of unprofessionalism - which I would be willing to elaborate on anyone if you would like to contact me. It took a month of going around and around until they mailed my final check (and after I looped in corporate in Little Rock). I would STRONGLY advise against getting a booth here if you're a business owner. I read other vendors' reviews and spoke with several others while I was there, trust me, the struggle is real. It's such a great concept. It just saddens me that things ended so negatively. read more

I really love the concept of Painted tree. Over all it's one of the most well kept of the vendor booth stores in the area, and has better kept items ... more so almost a walk in Etsy store of sorts vs some of the other more antique malls in the area that have more aged items. It's a large store that you could easily miss sections or vendors in with how some of the lanes are set up. You shop and purchase all your items at one place at the end. Over the years I've seen wonderful booths, like years ago I was able to find jewelry/keychains/etc made from scrabble tiles for an aunt ... and recently I've enjoyed stopping at the record booth. On the flip side so many of the booths have such similar items ... especially similar type clothes ... that a good number of the vendor booths i end up just passing over cause it's not really the type of clothes I'd wear. I would love to see a more diverse selection of vendors ... Possibly some unique anime themed booths, superhero booths, something with Pokémon themed, etc. read more

Top notch customer service! I live 1.5 hours away and noticed when I got home a discount had not been removed. When I called and explained that I didn't live nearby they were accommodating. They texted me so I was able to send a photo of my receipt and tags. I receive a call and text the following day letting me know they credited my credit card back and provided proof. This place is fabulous! They have something for everyone. Antiques, clothing, reproductions, vintage, holiday decor, baby clothes, jewelry, candles, light fixtures - you name it - they have it! Note that they have over 200 vendors with new inventory coming on a daily basis. They DO have Vintage items and genuine antiques. You just have to visit often and dig. You could easily spend half a day here. In regards to the reviews from 2017, the staff that is currently working is very friendly and there have been many new vendors since their review. Lots of really cute clothes & jewelry as well. Be sure to check out White Barn Co in the back by the restrooms! GREAT STUFF!!! I was just in here with my daughters trying to enjoy a nice day out. The rude ladies at the front started accusing my family of stealing in front of the WHOLE store! I don't know the other ladies name but the main one goes by Cathy. My family never steals and we even checked their pockets to see NOTHING at all was in it..I guess Fist bumping someone looks like stealing? WEIRD. Very cute store but I feel that all the prices are so high that I couldn't even see myself paying for the things because everything seemed like it was doubled in price. For example mask prices are $12.99-$26 each and then just small candles are $15.00 each. Simple clothes are 22.99 and up. The place would have me buying if the they didn't triple in price. read more

This place is seriously huge! I loved browsing all of the different stalls and seeing everything people had to offer. You can find just about anything here, and the prices are mostly reasonable. I guess you call this a consignment store.(someone feel free to correct me) Lots of booths under one roof. Well, this is one of the best. First, lots is an understatement. This place is BIG, and you could look for hours. Even I stayed interested for a while. One booth in the very back has a tv playing and 3 chairs for the bored husbands to sit a while. I didn't get to sit, but I stood and watched a while! Back to business. We needed a birthday gift fo 80 year old Connie, my mother in law. We went different ways and sent each other pictures of possible gifts. This place really does have everything. You'll find something you want. Of course none of my picks got used, but be honest, that's probably a good thing. Making a good thing even better, live music with speakers throughout the building. Two older gentlemen with guitars that really were good. At the end of each song, you could hear clapping from various parts of the building. Last but certainly not least, the lady up front selling cookies! Really..good..cookies! Free samples of different kinds. The cookies were HUGE and $3 apiece. I bought one of each of course! If you are a vendor/merchant... DO NOT RENT A BOOTH HERE! The GM Christy is awful. She will lie to your face and say there are cameras. But people will steal your things and trinkets and her cameras are dummy's they do not work. She will make deals with you about not paying the last 2 weeks of rent then charge you extra and say you owe her all this money, and then threaten to call the cops. Renting here is a waste of time and a headache. Do not support this location by shopping here and especially do not rent a booth. read more

Oh boy first to review! For some reason, I knew not to expect everything to be vintage and I was right, this is not an antique shop. Think of this as 60% shops were people who watched too much fixer upper when it first started and got to work refurbishing old stuff and selling it for so much money. Then about 20% are cute clothing and accessories boutiques (if texas and a Pom Pom had a baby these would be the babies). 10% are soap shops and like sprinkle in some art shops and antique shops for the rest. There's no food here a cute cafe that serves wine would be nice so don't come hungry. They have shopping carts which is nice and then you just pay near the entrance. Everything should have a price tag. Theres a lot of breakables and fragile items near the floor area so just in case for those with little ones who are too curious. Mine was trying to grab at everything. Over all this should be a great spot to come start shopping early for the holidays some unique items that I've seen on Etsy before, the jewelry is great so guys no excuse there's plenty to choose from. I thought most items were pricey when it comes to home decor I mean... there's a My Home Store right down the street. Okay queue the snobs who are too good for MHS. read more

Great store with a variety of items. Great women's clothing and kids clothes. The prices at the kids booth Southern Hot Tot is great. We got kids stud earrings for $1.00 and headbands for $1.25. The bows were 3 for $10.00 and the baby rompers and kids dresses were all around the $20 price point. I love all the furniture in there. I could go broke redecorating my house at that store. The best way to describe it would be a high end "canton" but with air conditioning! read more

The good: the market is large and well organized and there is a lot to look at. It's mostly home decor, with some apparel and soap/bath products. Most of it looked like good quality, and checkout was easy. This is where to go if you're looking for that rustic, shabby chic, "fixer upper" style. The bad: there was very little actual vintage stuff here. I wish it wasn't even in the name, because it's misleading. Very few of these vendors were even selling upcycled goods. Most of it is straight up mass produced products that you would find in any boutique shop. If you're looking to dig for buried vintage treasure you will be disappointed. read more

Painted Tree is not your usual vintage market, it is more for those of us who enjoy the vintage "look" without the vintage price. You won't find acres of old silverware, you won't find much older furniture, or old clothes. I for one have always been known to frequent "Vintage Markets" but I am always leaving disappointed, as the things that I want are either extremely overpriced or missing some quality. For me, Painted Tree was a breath of fresh air. I found everything I wanted within a reasonable price. The shops are clean, the bathrooms are kept clean, and there is so much variety that I couldn't take it all in within the two hours that I was there. Yes, the name literally has "vintage" in it but most of the items are not. I for one don't mind because THERE ARE SO MANY NICE THINGS. This will be my new go-to place for all my decor needs. It appears that everyone here either bought clothing from a charity store and simply stuck a tag on it and did some olde timey poorly executed art on the stalls. ... Or they went to the same Chinese wholesaler and bought knock off "fixer upper" clap trap. it's all the same! Also, merchandising Jesus and boasting how blessed and special you are are is certain to suggest it's time to get to your compound before the other wives realize you've stepped out! Apparently this is a total RIP off of the same concept found on Cooper St in South Arlington. The difference is the quality of the ORIGINAL ARTISTRY and the uniqueness and quality found there. Place in Highland Village is empty as a bar on Sunday morning. I won't be returning for tea. read more

This store has a sign posted on the door that masks are required and it's a govt mandate. I walk in and one of the first people I see is a vendor setting up, not wearable by a mask. Three women near the front door were wearing masks below their noses. A man a few yards away was wearing his mask below. Another customer a few yards away had her mask around her neck, not her face. This was upon walking in the door. I went to the front desk to tell the cashier why my family and I were leaving. She apologized and said she would speak to her manager. As I turned to leave, I noticed the manager, who stopped to tell me "I understand there's a situation." I said there is no situation, it's just not safe to be there with all the people walking around without a mask or not wearing it properly. She said she hadn't noticed anyone not wearing a mask. I pointed to the gender, WHOM SHE HAD JUST BEEN SPEAKING WITH AND HELPING HER SET UP! I pointed her out, and she said well, she's a vendor. Well, the sign on the front door did not say everyone except vendors had to wear a mask. The manager's demeanor was so condescending, as though I was the problem. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. People, I'd stay away from this store if you are trying to stay safe from the virus. These people don't get it. read more

They have women's and kids clothing (I did not see men's but I didn't get to walk the entire store), farmhouse decor, guitars, furniture, holiday things, jewelry, and etc etc etc!!! Officially one of my favorite stores as of today. I only had 15 minutes to run through before gymnastics but my oh my what fun!
