Large antique mall with lots of things to look at, can be a bit crowded in some sets but I am not sure how involved they are in displays. Floor staff is quick to assist with items we needed in the glass cases. Cashiers & line went fast. Tea room was cute with a live piano player. Food was good, fresh fruit, & many options so there is something for everyone. Waitress was nice... very friendly, but kinda messed up some orders but was overly worried sometimes... as in why did someone not finish their food or want dessert, like something was wrong. I really enjoyed the tea shop, it would have been nice if they offered afternoon tea service. The Tuna Salad was actually exceedingly tasty and I loved it. The Peach tea was quite refreshing. The live was not long and they were very friendly at the check out process. The antique shop itself is phenomenal and if you don't find something to buy I would be surprised. I've been to many of the antique malls all over DFW. This one is one of the best! Has a ton of furniture, mostly in great condition. The booths are merchandised well and prices are great! Lots of home accessories for all styles. Gifts, women's clothing, vinyl records, lots of gardening and outdoor decorations and pottery also. Nice staff and great experience! The service was great, employees were very knowledgeable and helpful. We actually got a little history lesson from a stranger, so you never know what to expect. I used to love going to this antique mall. Have spent thousands over the years. However in recent years the ownership has changed making it a miserable experience. Specifically, there is a woman that works there that is absolutely unpleasant. She is always so rude, short, and seems deeply displeased that she has to interact with people. Pretty sure I had a run in with the same woman described in a previous comment. She should not work here or anywhere dealing with people. The rudest person I've ever met. I tried to get her attention politely to alert her to merchandise falling due to hammering by a dealer. She didn't respond after 3 tries, so I gently tapped the side of her elbow once with one finger. She looked at me and down at her arm in disgust and brushed her arm off with her other hand. I told her about the merchandise falling (with a quizzical look on my face), and she told me I interrupted her and she was upset I touched her. Then as I was walking away after saying I'm sorry a few times with rude retorts back from her, she kept talking at me saying I shouldn't touch her. I turned to her and said, "Ive said sorry multiple times. I was trying to help." There was zero reason for her to keep engaging me after clearly I apologized, attempted to clarify my intent, and was walking away from her. But, nope. She then said, "I don't know where your hands have been." Yes, that definitely resulted in me looking at her sideways. Then she said, "You rolled your eyes. This is my store you need to leave." I said I was happy to go. She then proceeded to follow down behind me yelling right behind me, "she touched me!!! She rolled her eyes!!!" She proceeded to loudly repeat these two same statements while glaring at me even after another staff member told her to go away. I explained calmly to the other staff member what happened and that I was simply trying to avoid broken merchandise on the neighboring booth. She said she'd handle it and gestured toward the first staff member. I said they lost a customer today and left. I've been going here for a few years, multiple times a month and always love it, as have my mom and child when they go. We were excited to visit today and horrified by this woman when I was only trying to help. I'd already picked up one picture that had fallen on one side, banging against another picture. But unless I'm assured she's fired, I'll never return. I don't feel safe around someone like that and don't want to be yelled at and harassed. The second staff member said they have to deal with a lot of the general public working there, which grieves that particular staff member. Well, if having someone tap you gently once on the side of your elbow for an urgent matter after you ignored them 3 times when they tried to verbally alert you is that offensive and "germy", choosing a store to work in with antique merchandise is odd. If people gross you out so much, don't work in-person customer service. And, if the people you assist here are so beneath you or whatever was meant by that, then I'm sure you know not everyone would react to such offensive behavior by you, ma'am, with only an "eye roll" and then apologizing to *you*. I'm not well-versed in being treated like that, nor should anyone be. I treated you with more respect and dignity than clearly you know anything about. Intention matters. I tried to help. She claimed to be a germaphobe. She works at an antique store, handling money and items that have potentially sat around and been handled by many, many people. And after the other staff member told her to go on, she didn't go wash her elbow. Oh no. She put her hands on the sales counter. Mmmhmmm. I'm all for personal space, but I think the side of your elbow will survive from a light tap of a finger from a mom standing there with an elderly woman and a ten year old. By the way, I took my business to another antique store and bought the table I was trying to find. The woman who checked me out- gasp!- briefly touched my hand with hers when she handed me my credit card back. We stopped at the plant nursery off Keller Pkwy where one of the four dogs there came up and its nose brushed my pant leg- without being asked, mind you. Very troublesome. Then I went to a church event where a man shook hands with my father and - omg!!- he patted my dad once on the shoulder to welcome him. We all about died, but by grace, we survived. This staff member must have an extremely hard time navigating society. Please do better with hiring, LoneStar. Everyone else here is wonderful, and I love the store. read more

The antique mall is very large and certainly worth a look if you're into cottage core, or any kind of traditional decor. If you like mid-century modern, you will probably find it lacking but still, I have found a couple things here., like metal Apple canisters my mother had and certain things from my childhood. I also found a giant Blenko vase in a rare two year only color. The dealer didn't know what they had.. so that's why I like going to places like this because these are people that don't normally specialize in modern so they're not that knowledgeable about it and that's why you pick up a deal read more

The service was excellent! The fresh salad & fruit were delicious. However, we will NOT returning. We had a party of 15 ladies and they refused to allow us to pay separately! All the meals were put on one ticket & they would allow only ONE credit card! So many of us had little to no cash so a member of our party graciously put the remainder on her personal credit card which was very unfair to her! So instead of enjoying the end of our meal, we were digging for cash & trying to guess how much each one owed. AND as far as the tea, they only served regular tea or peach tea. I'm not a frequent shopper of these sorts of places, primarily because they are often a lot of booths of other people's junk, but Lone Star Antiques has a lot of quality dealers - and you can find some really good deals, if you're willing to take the time to walk the large facility. On the other hand, if you like shopping places like this, you'll probably be in heaven! This past weekend, we actually had lunch in the "Tea Room" while we were here, and I was very surprised, as I expected a snack bar masquerading as a tea room. It really is a nice brunch/lunch menu with a decent selection of salads, sandwiches and light fare. I had the sampler, which included a cup of the soup of the day, a slice of the quiche of the day, chicken salad and fresh fruit. I'm not a huge fan of apple in my chicken salad, but it wasn't bad, it was a large portion of fruit, the jalapeno potato soup was good and the quiche was especially good - is was not over cooked, and the egg was somewhat creamy and well balanced with the smoked turkey and bacon. This is a really good concept and menu for the typical shopper here, and I would recommend giving it a try. read more

I live very close by and have been to this antique mall many times. It has always been a great experience. Awesome finds, good prices and the food in the tea room is absolutely amazing. Today though was different. The older lady at checkout was so incredibly rude to us. I brought my aunt who had never been before. We shopped for an hour before the tea room opened, so they had us leave our items behind the counter while we ate and finished shopping. When we were ready to checkout my aunt ended up changing her mind about 2 items that she had left on hold. The lady seemed totally bothered by her changing her mind and was very rude in her tone, her grunts/sighs and when she told the other cashier to start our order all over. Then when my aunt asked her a question she totally ignored her. My aunt was very kind and apologetic, but it pissed me off that our great day together ended the way it did. read more

I would not recommend shopping at this antique mall as their employees are extremely condescending and rude. I had an experience yesterday I feel is important to share. I found a couple albums there I wanted to buy but one had a slight scratch. The album was rather expensive, $50.00. As with most antique malls, you are unable to make returns, but I thought I would try and see if I could talk to the album owner directly. I have found that in many antique malls, if you talk with the personnel, they will often call the booth owner and have them help you answer questions about what you may be interested in buying. So, I went to the front area to ask if they knew the album owner so I could possibly ask questions. They very curtly, rudely, and quite condescending would not assist. They have no return policy (which wasn't my end goal) . . . they were clearly not interested in helping out a customer. I returned to the booth to put both albums back and had discovered a sign with a phone number on it. As I pulled out my phone and attempted to dial the number, thinking that was the album owner, a young girl came to me and asked if I was trying to override their decision. I said I was just trying to talk to the album owner to see if they could tell me how the album would play, before I spent $50.00 on it. She said that phone number wasn't the album owner it was for the guitars, and she was so horribly rude. She actually asked me to leave the store and literally forced me to the front door. As I was just trying to explain to her what I was trying to do (talk to someone who could let me know about how the album would play) she was telling me I should get happiness in my life. When I got to my car, I was able to track down a person associated with the phone number on the sign. I told him what happened and he apologized to me for how I was treated. He said the guy who owned the albums was very kind; he knew the man but didn't have his phone number. Obviously, I did not buy that album or the other one I had (I was going to spend about $80.00 on two albums). Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend going to the Grapevine Antique Market 1641 W Northwest Hwy, Grapevine, TX 76051, where their employees are amazing and they have an entire upstairs full of used albums. I spent $60.00 on several wonderful albums yesterday at a wonderful antique mall. read more

As a numismatist, I'd advise against purchasing coins here. In terms of the coin vendors, I think they're fine: Prices are somewhat high but as far as I'm aware the vendors weren't the issue. I tried purchasing a world coin and when I was being rung up, they tried charging me tax. As of 2013 under Texas Tax Code Section 151.336, the sale of numismatic coins are exempt from tax. When I tried bringing this up, they not only argued with me on it, but were unable to name the letter of the law which states that world coins are supposed to be taxed. They read out some tax law using terminology incorrectly that seemed like basically a gish-gallop and insisted that I just do the research myself in response to me asking which tax code they were reading from (they were not able to name it). They tried using their "20 years of experience" as some sort of credibility and when I mentioned my background in numismatics i.e. work in a coin shop, business with Heritage Auctions and nationwide coin dealers etc, they doubled down and alluded to everyone else not following the proper tax laws. Overall, just kind of a sketchy experience for me, I've never encountered a situation where someone insisted on charging me tax for coins so needless to say I was dumbfounded and was unsure how to progress the situation from there. I can't speak on how other transactions may go, but based on the reviews I've read, I think my experience probably resonates similarly with other people who have shopped here before. I make this review not to intentionally damage someone's reputation, but rather to keep others from being taken advantage over something a lot of newcomers might just overlook or take at face value. p.s. the two gentlemen who helped me were kind and respectful, don't let this review reflect the quality of the people who work here. The problem seemed to be mostly with the management or whoever was running the place. read more

Took my mom and we had the best time, just looking at everything! Definitely carve out a morning/afternoon so you have plenty of window shopping time. Went home with a few small treasures. You'll never know what you'll find and fall in love with here. It's also a big place, so even though the aisles between stalls/booths/areas are sometimes tight, it doesn't feel too terribly crowded when they're busy. This is a "go to" spot for hidden treasures and they have a great tea room. It's more like a great lunch spot instead of girly tea room. Fresh quiche, salads and desserts. Very sweet servers and they have a large private party area if you want to make it a full on girls day or holiday luncheon! I love coming here with my Mom and girlfriends! You literally could stay 4-5 hours. So much to see and do. We've met the owners and they are just the most down to earth people ever. Highly recommend. My wife and I started frequenting Antique stores around the metroplex. This one is okay, certainly not the best. Not as organized as some of the others we've been to. The staff are not the friendliest either, but we don't let that affect our shopping experience. Because we're either going to spend money or not. It's the vendors who we are helping anyways. We just spent our last dollar there. As much as we enjoyed it at the beginning it's lost its luster. Same stuff same rude staff. There are other antique stores that people would enjoy more not only with the variety of items but very friendly staff. Benbrook Antique Store, Mid Cities Antique Mall, Ties to the Past, Montgomery Antique Mall, and The Mercantile. All are much more enjoyable atmosphere and the customer service is excellent. Check those I mentioned out, you won't be disappointed. If you want disappointment go to LoneStar. read more

Have been in several times. Absolutely Love booth 1125 for all my jewelry needs. I drive 1 1/2 to get the mystery jewelry jars absolutely beautifully done. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and disgust with the behavior of an employee named Angela Raesz at Lonestar Antiques. My husband and I witnessed firsthand her appalling treatment of an elderly customer. The elderly gentleman had rented a U-Haul truck to retrieve furniture he had already purchased. Despite the company's promise to assist with loading, Mrs. Raesz callously informed him that there was no one available to help. Her subsequent comments regarding his disability were beyond offensive and demonstrated a complete lack of empathy. My husband and I were so appalled by her behavior that we offered to assist the elderly man in loading his belongings. When my husband and I intervened to offer assistance, Mrs. Raesz escalated the situation by aggressively confronting me. Her behavior was threatening and intimidating. She pursued me outside the store, continuing her verbal assault and making physical threats like I will chop you. Angela, was literally in my face, yelling and screaming, I responded to her by telling her to back the F up. She proceeded to stay in my face and I gave her my last and final warning to back up or i would physically back her up. This is not the type of behavior that should be tolerated in any business, let alone one that interacts with the public. The safety and well-being of customers should be a top priority. I believe that this matter warrants immediate attention and action. She needs to be removed from this facility. Angela if you are reading this, Learn some manners and do not treat elderly people with such disrespect. I hope Karma comes back and bites you in the ass when you are as old as this man. I will be sure to let Loretta also know about your behavior at her business. I urge potential customers to avoid Lonestar Antiques and to share this experience to warn others. My son asked if the cabinet could be opened so he could make a purchase. The lady behind the counter basically told him no and look again. So he went down to the cabinet and then came back up to the counter. He came back and said they have to send someone over. The person came and helped the other people and never came back. I told lady at the counter that it was not nice to do that to a kid and she told me I was out of line. Who in there right mind would do that to a kid. She ruined his experience there. The place is for people to find treasures and she ruined it. I have never seen the Asian lady with the blonde hair there before but she was the one out of line. We left without buying anything and had to explain to our son that you don't spend your money at places that don't treat you right. Understand to start with I'm not an afficionado of antiques. My father is, and he was with me and looking for a specific item - a small, antique fan with brass blades, and in that entire antique mall we didn't find anything close. And I didn't find anything that interested me. The mall is large. And I would say if you're looking to completely outfit a home in the greatest Southwest flair possible or stock up on overpriced sports memorabilia and other flea market-like items, this is 100% the place for you. Tons of furniture, tons of decorative, wooden stars, tons of longhorn cattle skulls that can be mounted over your mantle or in your office. Lots of Texas kitsch, as you'd expect. But for actual difficult-to-find antiques, stuff that's highly collectible and probably worth some money, you'd have to look pretty hard here. read more

Three reasons I couldn't give it the last star. 1. The tea room smell is a bit overwhelming. 2. Sparse selection of vintage clothing. 3. There were new items made to look old. Okay now for the only reason why I want to repeatedly go back is ---- There is a spot where the energy is very strong. I didn't look at row numbers but this is how you find it. When you walk in the doors go right. Not the last isle but the one before that. So second to last. Then walk all the way to the end. To the left. The last stall, not the one on the outside but the one right before the isle ends. There is an energy that is so strong. It was very odd. I kept walking through to see if I felt it again and yes each time. I wish I could get some insight. If anyone else has experienced this I'd love to read about it. read more

This store is huge! In truth we walked in 15 minutes before closing so we walked the isles quickly to get an idea of the store to determine a revisit or not. When I skim an antique store because I have limited time, I am looking for unique items that suggest I am going to have the opportunity to explore, learn something new, or find a treasure. Although, I have not been yelping antique stores for very long, antiquing is a long time hobby of mine and I am confident in my ability to check the pulse of a location. Thus, I offer the following pieces of evidence to that effect. The store is huge and I was able to quickly walk about 50% of it and in that time I saw a confessional, a phone booth, and 2 life size Santas - thus, I can determine that at this location I will have the opportunity to explore treasures and learn new things - I have never seen a confessional in an antique store until now. I also took note of the price on items I would typically buy or have purchased at other antique stores to determine where the prices fell in comparison. I can say the prices were fair, a milk glass pitcher including a set of glasses was priced at $45.00 - which is not a steal, but also not way over priced. I skimmed the price on some vintage Barbie dolls and a few vintage pieces of costume jewelry and found the pricing to be similar - not a steal, but not crazy high either. Therefore, I would say in a revisit I would look to pay a fair price, but not find a thrift store / flea market type bargain. What the store lacks in competitive pricing they make up for in selection and intrigue. I will definitely be back with a few hours to leisurely explore every square foot. read more

This antique mall is located near the intersection of 820 and 377. I have been passing this place almost everyday but never got chance to check it out. I was surprised to see genuine antique collections and vintage items. They have a plenty of antique wood furniture to kitchen tables and chairs to tea cup sets to antique beautiful decorative items. For antique lovers it is a great place to visit. Just looking around vintage items and wondering, I did not realize I spent more than an hour. It is worth a visit. I am coming back to buy few of the decorative items I liked. read more

The ladies here are so sweet and the service is as Texan as it comes. Politely offered flavored teas, a review of the specials and checked on frequently for refills. The pecan chicken salad was great and I really enjoyed the mushroom quiche. The jalapeño potato soup was ok and a few of the pieces of mango weren't ripe/edible but the rest of the fruit salad was great. The buttermilk pie wasn't like any I've had before and had the consistency of pumpkin pie with a different flavoring than what I've made myself. We made our first visit to Lone Star Antiques yesterday. What an amazing store! We spent 3 hours shopping and eating and still didn't see everything in the store. So many treasures and so much nostalgia ~ it's a museum, time capsule, and store all meshed together. Employees were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Made the mistake of renting a booth there. The whole place is a sham. First, the owners/managers have only owned Lone Star Antique MALL for about two years. Other dealers told me it had been going downhill ever since. Secondly, only about 1/3 of the building is in use, Third, most of the merchandise is owned by the owner/managers according to Bobbilyn. The owner/manager, in my opinion, is one of the rudest, most unprofessional person that I have ever met. She is even rude to the customers what there are of them. Very few. Then she went balistic when I complained about her abuse of my son. I terminated the contract due to her behavior and she refused to return my deposit. She is also in violation of the labor laws and rents booths only to have free labor for a store that is predominantly hers. read more
