Steve at Mr. Handyman reached out right away and asked me to call him to discuss the details. I called Steve to explain a job I needed done involving an access door from my garage. He explained what he thought would be the best approach and that one of his employees would give me a better idea when he arrived for the quote. Steve explained the pricing, hourly rate, etc. and that his employee would give me a final quote before starting any work. Derek arrived on time for the appointment (I also got a text when he was on his way which was a nice touch). We went through all the details together, he explained what he would do and the estimated cost. I agreed and he got to work. He did an excellent job and the door looks great. I asked about a second project involving our swing set which he thankfully had time to include. Again, he went over all the details and estimates before proceeding. The work quality was again absolutely excellent. Derek cleaned up his work area completely. The final price came in exactly where expected, which I will also say I think is a fair price for the length of time he was here and the quality of the work performed. Due to the damages, I had to have flooring and sub flooring taken out and reinstalled, walls opened up, repaired, new cabinets, new paint throughout the condo, reinstall a granite countertop, a new backsplash, along with electric and plumbing work...he took care of either doing or coordinating it all. I wanted my living room, hallway, ceilings, and kitchen ceiling painted. Within maybe a day or two they had come to my house to do an estimate (adorable couple by the way!), and I got on their schedule and it was done within a week. Just recently I had electrical work done in living room that required replacing wallboard/patching walls and ceiling, and then it all had to be painted. Which of course reminded me I wanted my bedroom painted...and then another room. I texted Laila to ask if Flávio was available to come give an estimate and like magic he was here! His crew was currently working on an outside project, and he asked if we could schedule soon on a day when rain was predicted. I said sure and then within a week he was at my house with two others. The two others (Fabricio and Eduardo) were introduced to me, and then they came in with masks and set up draping etc. During the process, some issues were noticed. Flávio showed me that some additional work needed to be done and I approved. I like that they are meticulous and want things done correctly. The crew was at my house for four days...the first two from 8am - 7pm! Hard workers for sure...and they got a lot done in four days.
