Their work was outstanding to remove dry rot then to fix areas that had dry rot removed and to paint. They also painted trim around other windows and doors. Chris authorized six different color samples to arrive without any additional costs until I made my final choice. Not only are we pleased with the outcome, a few neighbors asked for the contact info. We had our house exterior painted by Ken and troupe. He did a great job selling his services and focus on quality. Had a major confusion with exterior color that was not completely their fault but he could have realized sooner the color was wrong. Anyways that is not the reason for giving them a 2 star review. Real reason is Ken talked us into getting our Anderson doors painted. He said that he knows how to paint them correctly so the paint would stick. Guess what after the first rain last winter the outdoor paint on the Anderson door started peeling. We called Ken and he assured us that after the rainy season is over he would fix it. This was in March. Since then we have called a dozen times, left voice messages, send text messages but to no avail. He has not returned our calls. Our conclusion is this is a company that does not stand behind the promises it makes. Very disappointing. read more

We had the pleasure of working with Ken on 2 houses, and are now on our 3rd project with him and his team. Ken is the owner, and comes to give you a quote. His team of painters, who have been with him for almost 10 years, then come over to the house to execute. For our first home, we needed to get it on the market ASAP. Ken came over, and knew exactly what colors the house needed, since he works with so many realtors. He was spot on- the house looked great. For the second home, he was just as good as picking colors. I had hired an interior decorator, and he picked the exact same colors as she did, but in 10 minutes!! She spent (and charged us) for an hour to pick the same colors. I was just as pleased with the work of his team. We had several different textures in the house, and Ken knew exactly what primer each area needed. Susi F.'s review seems quite unfair, since Ken did help her and also gave all of her money back. It doesn't sound like his team at all, to be so careless. I stayed home the entire time to make sure everything was done correctly, and it was. They prepped the areas like experts, carefully covering our belongings. They are amazing "cutters", cutting a straight line into corners without hesitation. They covered the floors, but I barely saw a speck on the papers. They were professional - courteous, and respectful of my questions. They even brought their own microwave to use during lunch! I also had some touch ups to do, and Ken sent his team back, no questions asked. I will be using Ken's services for our 3rd project, and highly recommend him to anyone who needs anything painted. Hired Ken to paint our house and stain a new t-arbor. No real complaints about the house paint. More attention could have been given to caulking. The problem comes in with the care taken when staining the t-arbor. We just had a new fire pit built with flagstone top and surrounded by flagstone right next to the t-arbor. After they finished staining the t-arbor, I noticed over spray and splatter of stain on the flagstone. The flagstone of course just soaks it up and turns into dark spots. It has now been over 2 months since completing the job. They apparently came out once to try to clean the flagstone (I wasn't here), but it can't be cleaned. Last correspondence was over 7 weeks ago and I've heard nothing further even though he had last promised he was still working on a solution. At this point, I have to assume he's done with it. I unfortunately paid in full even knowing of the problem. Now just hoping that the stains on the flagstone will eventually fade. Having said all of the above, Ken was friendly to deal with through the initial process and the couple times we have talked. His son came to pick up the final payment and was equally friendly and did some additional caulking that the guys had missed. It's an unfortunate case of his careless workers. read more

Ken's bid was not just the most reasonable, it was the most responsive and even saved me money by painting the ceiling for less than the popcorn removal company had quoted. I had about a week to get my house ready for sale - his team was like a well-oiled machine that split up the tasks and painted the whole house plus the kitchen cabinets in less than a week. The old maple kitchen cabinets were conscientiously sanded and primed and looked like new in a contemporary gray when they were done. Only took one open house to sell my house!
