It's nice it's next to a tea store so you can sip while you work. I thought I'd be finished in an hour but we were there over 3. Initially I thought the prices were high, starting at about $32 for smaller sized things, but after seeing the work, time and tiles involved, it's more than fair. I would have liked for it to be staffed with a helpful person with tiling experience, but the clerk from Picasso's ceramic painting café ran back and forth checking on us and couldn't have been nicer. We were largely on our own, after a brief demo on how to cut tiles. (Needy people and children will perhaps not like the set-up/independence required.) They send you home with a bag of grout to finish it 24 hours after the glue sets. Inventory for tile boards was scant. The finished models showed you what finished products looked like but were not available to make. They had some mosaics on Lucite and had an area for making candles. It was a good first experience. I love the whole artist enclave vibe of the strip of stores here.

Our instructor Abigail was awesome- very high energy and kind and easy to follow along with. I've taken many painting classes before this and already knew what I was doing so I didn't need as much help, but it was new for most of my coworkers so Abigail was super amazing assisting them when needed or giving them guidance on what to do next. We chose "Broccoli" the cat, and you have the option to follow along with the instructor and paint your canvas exactly like the demo or go your own route- I chose to make mine look like my own sweet kitty so it's fun to have some creative freedom if you so choose. They host a lot of different events here, even a "paint your pet" night. After you come and paint something, if you want something fixed, adjusted or help with it you can come in any saturday morning and the artists will help you adjust your painting for free! Normally, this is a paint & sip place as well so you can bring a bottle of wine or your drink (alcoholic or NA) of choice to sip while you paint which is fun too. Definitely recommend this for a date night, girls night, coming with family or even to one of the events by yourself, it's a great way to wind down and let your inner creative come out!

However, I had the desire to also paint my late Rajah-Lynn so both paintings could be on the wall at the same time, so I started looking around fora Painting with a Twist class that was doing one soon and found this location was doing it this weekend - PURRFECT! So I paid for my class and sent in my picture so they could trace it out on the canvas for the class. I drove over from Orlando and arrived to find that it wasn't just an outline of my kitty, but a whole charcoal drawing! I could have just walked out with it like that! It was amazing! Abigail and Alex were great. They each walked around and helped or gave suggestions. Three hours flew by! (We all were wishing for just another 15 minutes. LOL) I had a great time and am happy to go home with my paiinting so I can put CleoAnn and Rajah-Lynn together (they were sisters for 11 years). The only suggestion I would make - at the Painting with a Twist I normally go to, the offer a paintable wooden frame for your artwork for a small uncharge. I would gladly have bought the upcharge.... and probably others in that class would have also. (It was already on the sketch when class started and they sent me home with a small "takeout container" of paint to finish at home.) Just a bit of money your shop could be adding to their sales. But all in all, I had a great time. Thank you.

My 7 year old is very much into art, and when one of her friends from school said she was going to…read morethis day camp, my daughter wanted to join immediately! We picked the day that the rainbow jellyfish was going to be painted. You can pick a single day, or the whole week for a discounted rate. $48 included tax, 3 hours of instruction (you send your child with water and a snack), and a huge canvas to take home at the end! There was even enough time to allow the kids to pick out a small wooden or ceramic piece to paint as well (my child chose the Christmas tree). This place is easy to find via GPS and has plenty of parking. Inside, there are many painted canvases hung up showcasing all of the beautiful artwork done in the studio. This place also does birthday parties, private events and more! My child loved the experience and we are going to hang up her artwork on the wall in her bedroom. This experience is recommended for kids aged 6-12 years.

I'm honestly baffled that the establishment is called "Painting with a Twist" because to me that insinuates there will be alcohol but I did not know this location was bring your own bottle. I've been to other paint and sip places that either provide the wine or at least have a selection to purchase. Considering that it's BYOB, I feel that the value does not match the price you pay for the class. When we arrived, the canvases were already set up and you were assigned a seat, so you did not get to chose whether you wanted to be closer to the front where the instructor was. My friend and I were placed towards the back, and although they did have TVs around that streamed the instructor live, they were a bit too small and low quality to really make out the details. I was also surprised to see the image we were painting was already draw on the canvas, which I'm sure it's for the sake of time but I personally find it more fun to be instructed step by step to create the painting from scratch. The instructions also felt a tiny bit rushed as I was struggling to keep up, but that could have just been me being too much of a perfectionist. I enjoyed that the instructor took breaks to do trivia and allow people to catch up! One of the instructors had read the books and you could tell she had a passion for Fourth Wing. I also appreciated that they came around and assisted with anyone who needed help. While our main instructor who was painting with us did a phenomenal job, I was a bit distracted by the other instructor who was on her phone every once in a while when she was not waking around assisting people with their paintings. Overall, I had fun but the experience was just ok to me, definitely not what I was expecting for paying almost $50. I was really excited for this, and a little sad that the experience feel short for me.

The staff were attentive and friendly, walking around to each table to check on each person and guide them along the process. The work areas were large and it was nice sound with others to guide and help each other also. There really wasn't an overall explanation on how to do the monogram on the box so we struggled with this until a staff member came by and guided us on the process but by then all but 1 monogram was on a box. Wish there would have been just a bit more overall instructions on this is how we put on and take off the monogram. Overall the experience was lovely and I think everyone really enjoyed it. Great place to have a party or come take part in a workshop.

Walking in, it looks messy, but hey, it's a workshop so it should be messy looking! A clean workshop isn't a workshop...lol. They had ewctangular tables lined up through the shop that accommodated like 8 people a piece. They setup supplies and everything the kids would need to build, personlaize, and paint their wooden boxes. They walked everyone through the process at the same time and took the time to check on everyone during the process. They allowed us to bring in food and drinks for the party so their was a mixture of home made and store bought stuff. As far as I could tell, the kids all enjoyed it and so did the parents who also participated. It was definitely a neat experience and something thatwould be fun for younger families and maybe even a corporate outing or something similar. If you;'re looking for a unique party or activity, this might just fit the bill.

I had peeked into Artroom several times finally last year I signed up for a class - the format was really nice ( adult oil ) first weeks all newbies were given a beginners project and Linda walked us through it in detail sharing wonderful tips that I did not even get from Valencia professors - no offense - most importantly her expertise in teaching and reading the class is incredible - she knows each student their capabilities strengths individually and coaches accordingly - giving honest constructive feedback in a very warm manner. People joke that it is a lot cheaper than therapy and works even better. After the initial project everyone works on a project they want and Linda coaches everyone individually on their projects finding bringing resources - recommending references. It is a group class so this level of individualism surprised me in a good way. My only regret is that I did not find artroom sooner
