The atmosphere at the Joker Marchant Stadium when it's game day is so much fun, really good vibes. I had been here previously for a holiday party up in the conference rooms and it was night and day different. People get there EARLY. I'm talking, I was there 2+ hours before 1st pitch and there were at least a couple rows of cars and more coming already. It gets packed fast so just be aware of that if you're driving. Workers do a good job directing people on the way in, but on the way out it's pretty much a mess. This field and facility are very well maintained. Everything seemed fairly clean, considering how big of a space it is. There is a big lawn behind center field where a lot of young kids run around trying to catch home run balls from the team warmups. It's very family-oriented, just a great and enjoyable atmosphere. The worst part are certainly the prices. If you're not willing to pay minimum $50 at the gift shop don't even walk in there, that was obscene. The food prices are definitely up there as well, but it is still a professional sporting event and that's just how food prices are for that so you have to keep that in mind and be prepared. Also, security can get a little weird if you're not in the main seating area. They make you scan your ticket multiple times to where it gets a little ridiculous. Not a fan of that or the Tigers, to be honest, but I'd come back again because there's few things better than being out at the ball game! read more

A very average ballpark. Basic and not much going on to look at. Came here for a Low A game. Smaller crowd of a few hundred. It's not much but definitely not the worst in the Florida League. Free parking when I went. Construction going on so you'll get rerouted to get to the front of the stadium. Can only make a right turn into the entrance. read more

Traffic is a nightmare on game day with no directing by officials. We had prepaid parking, yet was told the lot was "full" so we were directed to drive to an auxiliary lot (open field) where my partner who is in mobility scooter had to manuever to get to the stadium. There was no handicap parking for him (he cannot walk). Upon arriving to the stadium, tried to purchase non-alcoholic beer at several locations and was told everywhere that there was none. read more

As a Michigan girl, I love that the Tiger's Spring Training is so close. I try to go to at least 1 spring training game per year but this year with Covid, the prices were insane due to limited seating availability. I just couldn't bring myself to paying the prices and I like to sit in specific sections. I think the stadium is really nice for their spring training and love all the Detroit stuff. Of course, just like at Comerica, prices for stuff is really high so I haven't been able to bring myself to purchase any gear to wear but there are endless options for that stuff online. Well, that was fun! I bought tickets online in advance. I also prepaid parking and saved $3. We arrived an hour before the game and the parking was well organized. It was St Patrick's day so there was a giveaway button, as well as green caps on players and umpires. Food options are varied: there are burgers and hot dogs, chicken fingers, and other ballpark fare. There is Little Caesars pizza and there is bbq. There is a nice looking array of foods from an Italian deli. Food is premade but was hot and tasty. Prices, as expected, are high. A cheeseburger, fries and medium Pepsi was around $24. My 16 ounce craft beer was $14! We had seats in section 208 and the sun passed overhead just after noon, leaving us in the shade. Even though it was an Orioles split squad, the game was exciting. We saw 6 home runs, a stolen base, a double play, a fly ball lost in the sun. There were t-shirts and balls thrown to the fans. Seats were comfortable. The pitch clock helps. Sadly, the game finished as a tie. Tigers 4, Orioles 4. Spring Training rules. It took about 15 minutes to exit the park, and be prepared to turn right only. read more

Absolutely a very nice establishment for baseball Detroit spring training. Today Blue Jays from Canada was hosted by Detroit unfortunately it was a loss 18-5 but it's spring training. We were very lucky to be treated inside the club 35. It was very nice, lots of food & drinks. There was outside seating as well & you could go back & forth . I attended with the CATS group. = certified, ambassador, tourism, and sports. Polk city has awesome time and there there was so much to see. read more

Made our first visit to Joker Marchant Stadium in 2023, completing our visits to the 6 spring training stadiums in Tampa Bay (Clearwater, Dunedin, Tampa, Bradenton, Lakeland, Sarasota). Of the 6, I would rank this one 2nd or 3rd. It was recently renovated in 2017 and the shade structures they added at the top of the stadium were much appreciated on this sunny day in the mid-80s. There's a cool tribute to the airfield it was built on in right field + some berm seating in left field that would be great for the kids. Parking was $10, a little disappointing compared to some of the other stadiums but reasonable. A decent number of concession options around the stadium including Detroit-style pizza from Little Caesar's. Overall, a fine experience for spring training! read more

What a fun ballpark! We were staying in Kissimmee and my friends from Atlanta wanted to see the Braves play. It's a quaint ballpark with some pretty decent food option. We got lucky because this was the last game played before they called off spring training due to the politics surrounding COVID-19. This year on our annual trip to Tiger Town during spring training, I paid the extra for the family to be in the 34 Club and boy was it worth it. Besides having a great seats over the first base line, the 34 Club was a well done. Having been in a number of Minor League club lounges, this one rates up their with the best of them. The buffet was well done, simple but baseball chic. The fun part was the 7th inning stretch where they brought in Little Caesars Pizza. My son being and employee of little Caesars in Michigan loved the salute to Mr I. Other then the Tigers loosing miserably to the Braves (my sons favorite team/ house divided) it was a great day. I have to say that if you are paying for tickets and plan to eat, upgrade to club 34. We saved money and had an amazing time. read more

My first time going for a spring trading game on 3/23/2022, and absolutely loved the ball park! Only negative thing that was such a disappointment was the concession food. Absolutely horrendous ! Don't waste your money! Ordered a hamburger and fry plate, looked well done, when I got back to my seat, took one bite, it was totally raw! Returned and got chicken strips instead and it was so dry I couldn't eat it. I sure did have a great time watching the game right behind home plate! read more

Spring training home to my beloved Detroit Tigers! Gorgeous stadium surrounded by palm trees. Not a bad seat in the house, but remember to bring your hat and sunscreen because most of the seats, especially during the day games, will be in the sun. Our seats, inside third base and up only 10 rows from the field, were $20 a piece = good deal. Most concessions do not take credit cards so also pack some major cash because everything is expensive but very tasty... so you'll go back for more. Our Tuesday 1:05pm game against the Mets was p-a-c-k-e-d! Seats were OK size for my ample derriere, but Ken could have used a touch more leg room. A must do for Tiger-loving Michiganders if you find yourself in the area. read more

The stadium itself is nice, food is so so but the parking is horrendous. The stadium is in a residential neighborhood so access is through two traffic lights that go grid lock for a couple of hours before the game. Don't get preferred parking as you'll never get to it . Park outside the stadium and save yourself a LOT of aggravation. Once you get to the stadium the lines to get in are long because of their airport grade security. Empty pockets, step through metal detector and then everyone gets wanded, ridiculous. read more

We had tickets for the 34 Club and had all you can eat buffet and the food was good and we enjoyed ourselves very much. I will make it a point to attend games more often after I saw how nice the stadium, staff and food was. Great venue, and we got Grady Judd Bobbleheads which he even signed for us. This is a really nice stadium. I attend as many spring training games as I can and Tigertown is great. Plenty of parking, easy to navigate, lawn seating for $13, seats for $20-ish and cup holders are NOT extra (I'm looking at you, Steinbrenner Field). Placement is really nice in that nearly all the seats end up in the shade during the afternoon. Food-wise options are pretty standard but in the outfield there's a stand with Detroit and Flint style Coney Islands. For the uninitiated those are chili dogs. Detroit style has more sauciness and spice whereas Flint style is pretty much just beef...looks like Taco Bell meat kinda but tastes better. The dogs are awesome and they snap when you bite into them. Star lost due to TERRIBLE beer selection. Seriously disgraceful given the amazing craft beer coming out of both Michigan and Tampa Bay. Yuengling is the most "exotic" beer there. I mean Brew Hub is literally 12 minutes from the stadium! Two Henry's is right there too. So like way to go Miller-Coors...way to enforce your monopoly. read more

As far as spring training goes this place is amazing! Not a lot to do in Lakeland so you figure they would be packed out on the weekends for minor league games. Unfortunately they don't have the berm bar open and the usher out there is rude AF!! Why would I take my kids out there when he's yelling at kids constantly. You'll have a great Spring Training & minor league baseball watching experience at Joker Marchant! 2017 has brought shiny new renovations that has taken this stadium into modern times with a giant LED Jumbotron, all shaded seating areas & a Hooters-themed bar (minus the wings). The people of Lakeland are very welcoming! Parking is a sitch- park at the church across the streetlight for any donation and take a short walk over for convenience. Friendly workers all around. There also isn't a bad spot anywhere in the house, it is such a great experience. You'll find tons of native Michiganders that travel down for Spring Training baseball. Get there during batting practice and meet some players, that's the best part about Spring Training! Get some cheap seats on the berm for a good chance to catch a foul ball (or have one thrown to you by an outfielder) or if you like to stand and walk around, snag some Runway tickets. You'll get prime viewing of the pitchers practicing, and if you ask nice enough, they'll sign some baseballs & swag for you! Docking a point for the very poor beer selection - other Grapefruit League stadiums totally school this one with their available craft beer selections. There is also not much to do around this stadium if you want to keep the party going after the game, but that's sleepy Lakeland for you. You'll have an awesome baseball day here! read more

Beautiful new clean stadium from which to watch Spring Training and Grapefruit League Flying Tigers Games. Neat large scoreboard, outdoor eating area, fancy bar--great place for special functions. Nice art work on the walls, bronze figures out front. Delicious food. Great teams to watch. We had a few issues--box office lady was not knowledgeable where one enters, details for ADA-needs. Supposed to open at 5 per invitations, didn't want to open til 5:30 and many seemed unaware of a function. Elevator got stuck temporarily (eek). Parking not well labeled (even which entrance to use). Rain delay went up on screen but no inside announcements or explanations to novice attendees on what that means, how long the wait, etc. We ended up missing the game after waiting 90 minutes past start time. Understanding of the rain but not of the communication lacks. I do look forward to seeing a game some day. (Wish the bronze statute told who they were easily.) read more

Nice field and relatively easy to leave the parking lot. Comfortable seating and friendly staff. The concession food is not too interesting. If you arrive early you can walk to the practice fields and watch some of Tigers' prospects go through their Spring Training drills. It was our first trip here since the renovation of the stadium and I had to say we were disappointed. There were some good things like converting the left field benches into real seats and the cantina on top of the outfield berm seems pretty cool. Also the ability to walk all the way around the park is very nice. All the other additions really do not help the average fan. The space that used to be the players clubhouse where fans could peer through the fence and watch the players has been converted (along with the entire right field) to a space for groups only. The guy at the gate thought it was great that for $50 per person it was all you could eat if you brought a group. There seemed to be 3 or 4 of these spaces. In doing this and adding fences outside it really limited the area where fans could interact with the players. The food selection is pretty abysmal. We used to be able to get a really great hamburger with a side of potato salad (some of the best potato salad around) for 8 bucks. Now the disappointing burger all by itself is 9 bucks and there is no potato salad to be found. Water is $5 and you can't find a beer for under $9. Except for left field the viewing area is the same and is an excellent venue to watch a game even with the addition of the mandatory netting added to then entire seating area but the renovations have really lessened the value of the experience for the average fan. read more

This is a great place to watch a Spring Training game! It's in an actual neighborhood and it's a fairly quaint stadium. It's been refurbished and they've kept some of the old stuff. I like this. It's not sterile like where the Yankees or Red Sox play. New isn't always better. If you're lucky to get covered seats this park is as good as it gets. There's not a bad seat at this place so don't worry about where you sit. TIP: They sell Strawberry Shortcake here and if you're lucky they'll bring it right to your seat. read more

Stadium is nice, not a lot of shaded seats though. Food choices are abundant and fairly priced. Lots of vendors working the stands as well. Pricing was fair for Spring Training and we had few issues getting seats we liked off their website with marginal nuisance fees. The bad, PARKING and ENTRY. Perhaps because we were their for a Red Sox game it was a little busier, but parking was a total disaster for a weekday game. Back ups through the neighborhood we follow a line that all parked at the far end of the facility, no charge, but no guarantee our cars would be there after the game either. I've been here three times to see Tigers spring training, most recently last week. Stadium is a beautiful intimate park where you can see all the players up close and personal. My favorite seats are next to Tigers dugout, section 102, good view of the first base side ($25 a ticket, can't beat that!) Seats farther up better for catching foul balls, and seats around section 101 better for getting autographs. Players will sign autographs at start of game (and sometimes at end) Best place to get an autograph, row A of section 101. Stand around here or get these seats and come early, as players do not sign autographs during play. If game starts at 1pm, getting there at noon is usually early enough, parking lot already getting packed. Just a sunnier, smaller more laid back version of Comerica Park. Bring your hat and sunscreen, its always hot and had to stay out of the sun. Perfect stadium to watch the Tigers! read more

The food selection is typical of a ballpark - nothing even remotely healthy, and not a a great deal of options for people with restricted diets. It's a well maintained stadium with clean facilities and ample parking. They do have some covered seating, but it can get hot when the sun is beating down on you, so bring a hat and drink water! read more

Great spring training ballpark. Access to the outfield berm makes batting practice a fun, home-run-ball chasing free for fall. Parking and game tickets are reasonably priced. Some solid food options in the concession area, though it would be nice to see those expanded a bit. The team store is large and well organized, with lots of good Tigers items. We went in mid-March and some of the more popular Grapefruit League items were sold out; perhaps they will adjust inventory of those items in the future. Access to players is not extensive, but good enough for your kid to snag an autograph or two. On the first base side, protective netting extends all the way into the outfield, which I suppose is a good thing for safety. On the day we went, the national anthem was preceded by an impressive military aerial show. If that's indicative of pre-game entertainment, I salute Joker Marchant Stadium. read more

We attended a Spring Training game (New York Yankees vs Detroit Tigers) in Lakeland this spring. We drove down from Orlando for the game. Great stadium to watch a game - easy to find off of I4 & plenty of parking. Beautiful facility for watching baseball - seats are very near the field, plenty of restrooms, lot of snack bars, and all very new after the recent remodel. All the staff we ran into during the day were very friendly! Ticket prices were very reasonable.
