my son & i came here to celebrate a bday party & it was such a good time! the entrance leads you right into the gift shop (parents be aware) - but the process was seamless to enter. there was a whole room w/ animatronic dinosaurs that moved - the boys loved that! there is a shaded patio w/ lots of seating for eating & a splash pad right next to it too. they had a food cart & some other options for snacks as well. the playground was extensively built & the park itself is a generous size. they had neat attractions such as gemstone panning, fossil digging, & a rideable dinosaur cart as well as a train! we had so much fun celebrating our friends & my son said he couldn't wait to go back again. see yall soon !! read more

Beware! Today my daughter was playing at the splash area and suddenly started screaming that she was bleeding. There was a screw tucked between the tiles and she cut her foot! The young manager was called and he seemed overwhelmed with what to do with a crying child. Really just overwhelmed with the situation. Overall I'm disheartened by the response by the team because as my daughter was limping through the souvenirs, she really wanted a toy. But all the manager offered was a small discount. My daughter kept apologizing like she was the one who did something wrong when it's their fault she cut her foot by not keeping chairs and materials safe. It was a $10 toy. It's not like we demanded refunds or free tickets for a future visit. And they couldn't be bothered to help her trip end on a good note. It's it like we did something wrong. This is such a great roadside attraction in Plant City. You can't miss this place if you are driving in I-4. It's right on the exit. The tickets are 25 per person for general admission, but you can get discounts on various sites. After going though the gift shop, there is an interactive area with a play grounds, mini golf, splash pad, and fossil excavation. There are also two indoor areas, including an animatronic dinosaur display, and skeleton display. Going further are various areas of static dinosaur statues, with plenty of dinosaurs to see. There is also a mammoth area as well. You can easily spend an hour or two just seeing the displays. They also added an animatronic dinosaur band, which is very similar to Chuck E Cheese. Staff are friendly and very helpful, but I wish there were more to explain the dinosaurs and displays. While most of the area and activities are free, there are some additional costs for other activities. If you want to do fossil excavation and the train ride, that cost extra and you can buy a package for them. There is also a dinosaur scooter ride for 5 dollars, which your can ride a dinosaur shaped scooter around an area for 3 minutes. It's similar to the animal scooters you see at the malls. There are also animatronic dinosaur rides for a dollar, which are near the indoor museum area. It's a slow moving ride that lasts two minutes. Best of all, adults are allowed to ride too. Various photo ops are available as well, including a saddled dinosaur to cowboy up on. Parking is free and there are no metal detectors or scanners to go though. It is a tourist trap attraction, but a very good one especially if you love dinosaurs. Toddler's a big fan of dinosaurs! So we took him to Dinosaur World on a weekend. We found the parking spot right away. We entered the Dinosaur World and bought tickets from the counter. Dinosaur World was really cool. The dinosaurs looked so detailed and there were some really interesting facts about them. Are some of the dinosaurs aged and corny looking? Sure. But for a relatively modest entry fee ($25 per adult), this is still a good time. The dinosaurs are spread out across a long and mostly shaded walk way, and there is a nice variety of dinosaurs with an explanation for each one. There are also some indoor and air conditioned exhibits too with animatronic dinosaurs. As for little kids, there is a playground inside and a mini putt-putt course. The putt-putt course is very small and limited, but it's included with admission. There is also a dinosaur dig for an extra charge, but we did not do that. The Dinosaur exhibits were wonderful but the guest comfort and services were surprisingly lacking. In the bench seating areas they had minimal fans circulating air. We saw only one drinking fountain. No water stations for hydration. Their drink machines only took $1 bills and did not allow for credit cards. Probably would not consider returning. read more

We had hours to kill on our roadtrip and stopped in to have something to do and get some exercise after flying for a long time. The path is nice, the bathrooms and facilities were clean, and it's a great place for leashed dogs and for kids to play. This outdoor park exceeded my expectations. From some reviews that I had read, I assumed it was a small park with some big dinosaurs outdoors and some activities to do... But, when we walked in: 1. There are 3 huge animated t. Rex in the entrance 2. When you walk inside the building, there's a HUGE store filled with dinosaur toys, souvenirs and they're priced surprisingly well. Not the crazy prices you see inside other theme parks. 3. When you exit thru the back door, it leads to the first part of the park with many activities, such as mini golf under these humongous brachiosauruses, a big playground, food truck, a smaller indoor LED automated dinosaur walk through, a digging site. 4. There's an entrance beside the digging site, which leads to this wooden bridge that walks you through the entire back part of the park which is BIG and full of lush trees and plants with HUGE LIFE SIZED dinosaurs feet away from each other, my son LOVED IT. 5. There's a little train that you could wait for that takes you around the park if you prefer not to walk, but in my opinion the walk was SOOO nice! It felt like we were actually in a jungle surrounded by the dinosaurs. I highly recommend if you or your little ones are dinosaur crazy like mine! read more

We took our boys (1 & 3) to Dinosaur World and they loved it! The gem mining was especially well done and a highlight of our visit. I'm giving 4 stars because a few things could be improved. The fossil dig area was underwhelming. It is mostly sand and shark teeth. The playground for younger kids also needs attention, as some parts were rusty and had sharp edges. Also, if the food truck Heifers Be Trippin is there, I'd recommend skipping it. Overall, a fun experience for little kids with a few areas that could be better. read more

I've always seen the huge orange trex from i4 and wondered what this place had to offer. Today, I decided to take my nephew on a plate date with another 3 year old who loves dinosaurs. The admission was $28 with card processing fees and I feel like the price should be half that, for what is offered. Dinosaur world is basically a playground with dinosaur statues. More animatronics and FOOD would bring it up from a 3 to at least a 4. They could also add small rides, or at least have the conductor for the train ride be interactive with the kids by pointing out the dinosaurs seen along the way and identifying them by name for the kids. As an adult, I'd give this place a 2 really but my nephew is 3 and he loves the place so that's why it earned 3 stars from me. The kid's opinion matters most. If you've driven on I-4 between Orlando and Tampa, you have definitely seen the roadside attraction Dinosaur World. I've been wanting to visit since moving to Tampa years ago, and my wish finally came true. No regrets! Dinosaur World is a great place for kids and to enjoy the outdoors while learning about dinos. I suggest going during cooler months because the outdoor heat during summer is brutal. Bring sunscreen and BUG SPRAY. All of the activities are outdoors, except for 2 museum wings and the gift shop. There are two playgrounds, one for toddlers and one for bigger kids. They are building a splash pad, which I think will be a big hit during the hot months. Mini golf is included with your admission pass. You can buy tickets for the extra activities such as the Fossil Dig and Gem Excavation. The Fossil Dig happens at 4 different times throughout the day. You are given a sifter and a cup to hold the fossils you find. In the end, you take home 3 fossils and they are identified for you. The Gem Excavation happens in the water chute. You pour dirt in a sieve and sift away dirt until large gems remain. You can keep everything you uncover in your sieve. The back of the park has walking paths with the dinosaur models. If you don't want to walk, you can buy a ticket for a slow moving train ride that goes through the pathways so you can look at the dinosaurs. Children cannot ride alone, so an adult must purchase a ticket with young riders. Dinosaur World does not have a restaurant in the park, so you can bring your own food and drinks, or you can order pizza delivery from a local restaurant, Nick's Pizzeria. There are lots of picnic tables around the park, most under cover. Drinks and snacks are available in the gift shop, and they are reasonably priced for purchase. The children 3,5 and 8 enjoyed the train ride and dinosaurs and the gem mine was great. Not so for the fossil hunt, which was all foreign crinoid stem pieces and broken Moroccan shark teeth and you are only allowed to keep 3 pieces! Sad because Florida has some of the most fossil rich sites and kids would love to see the real fossils. I am a huge fan of anything dinosaur related. I've loved dinosaurs since I was a kid. My boyfriend decided to take me to Dinosaur World as a gift and I was super thrilled to finally check it out! They have a gift shop of course with many dinosaur related items, including some dinosaur teeth and fossils for purchase. They also have a small museum area with fossils, some real and some casts, with a lot of cool information to read. The main attraction is walking through the park and checking out all of the dinosaur statues. There are lots of signs explaining which dinosaur is portrayed along with some facts about it. It's a nice place to walk around with lots of shady areas which I always appreciate. They have a playground for little ones and some interactive activities geared towards kids as well, so it's very family friendly for the little aspiring paleontologists in your life. Don't Fall for the Upgrade Scam (March 20) Our experience at the end of this otherwise cool place (with employees ranging from subpar to terrible) ruined our visit and left my daughter repeatedly asking "why can't I ride the train?", much like awful service at a restaurant with otherwise good food. This place is nothing short of a con. They pushed an "upgrade" package with zero transparency, conveniently omitting the fact that the main attraction--the train ride--can shut down at any moment without notice. No warning. No signage. No shame. And where's the train? Tucked away at the farthest corner of the park so you only discover the scam after they've already pocketed your money. When we arrived to the train stop, we were greeted by a sour, bitter old man who curtly barked that the train was closed--completely unmoved by the heartbreak on my 5-year-old daughter's face. He was cold, abrasive, and downright hostile. Frankly, someone that devoid of empathy should be nowhere near a family attraction--let alone children. I asked to speak with a manager, hoping for some level of accountability. Instead, I got a red-faced, deer-in-headlights kid named Arriana reciting a robotic, pre-packaged apology like she was reading off a teleprompter. Clearly, they've had this conversation a lot. Their insult of a solution? A laughable $15 store credit, which probably costs them less than a souvenir keychain. That's not customer service--that's damage control wrapped in corporate indifference. This place doesn't care about families, doesn't care about your experience, and certainly doesn't care about your kids. It's a business built on bait-and-switch tactics, condescending staff, and pathetic excuses. Skip the upgrade and save your money and your time. Or take your kids somewhere that doesn't treat disappointed children and ripped-off parents like just another line item on their refund script (we had a great experience at Glasier and the Florida Aquarium, where the staff genuinely loves making kids happy). read more

Really impressed by Dinosaur World. Super clean, family friendly, fun environment. Who doesn't like to have fun and learn something? Planning is key to a good time. Go early. Cool morning. Bring snacks and water or a picnic. You enter through the gift shop where you pick what activities you would like to do in addition to the tour, if any. Once you have your ticket, you exit the gift shop, and immediately upon exiting, you can go to the museum, play on playgrounds, look at dinosaur statues, or continue down the path . As you walk down the path, you'll pass the mini golf course area, the fossil dig area, and the gem mining area. Just past the gem mining area is the trail entrance to Dinosaur World. It is about a half mile walk-through on flat surfaces in a heavily shaded and wooded area. The train is back here in the wooded area, along with a restroom and a paleontology cave. Welcome to Dinosaur World. They have over 200 dinosaurs ... most are statues however some are animated. We took our grandchildren who are 2 and 4. They enjoyed the train and walking through the dinosaurs. But the best part of the visit, according to them, was the playground. On another note, they are repairing/installing a small water pad. Overall, the facility was fairly clean and maintained. It's fairly priced and young kids will enjoy the activities. It's literally is every little dinosaur loving boy's dream come true!!! The park is impressive, sprawling with dino fun at every turn. Be sure to bring some quarters for the crane machines and mosquito repellent ! I wish we had more time to spend here, we were just passing through on our way home. This place is perfect for toddlers and small children. And the price is more than fair with it only being $20 for adults and children 2 and under are free. What's great about here is that you could spend anywhere between 1 hour or 4 hours depending on what you want to do.... When you enter there are two playgrounds on the left. One that is for about ages 3 and under and one for older kids. They both have plenty to do and are well maintained. I was highly impressed with both of the playgrounds. There are picnic tables spread out throughout the whole place so you could bring a lunch and stop and eat it whenever you please. There is enough to do even if you don't pay for the extras. We didn't go into the dinosaur museum because we are very hot and sweaty and just ready to leave, but next time we come we will check that out too. Over the long weekend, we decided to take our little one to Dinosaur world as we were on our way to Tampa. Dinosaur world is located about an hour away from Orlando. We left in the morning around 8 and made it by the time they opened at 9. At the gift shop register, you can purchase your tickets and kids under 2 are free I believe. What I love about this place, is the fact there are so many types of dinosaur statues and it's in a shaded area. There's also some animated motion moving dinosaurs and even a fossil sand area! Going in the morning is the perfect time as it isn't too crowded and hot. We had the perfect outing and adult tickets costed us around $40 (20 per adult). Our 8yr old daughter got an overpriced water bottle at Sea World for her vacation souvenir which she promptly left at the fossil dig at Dinosaur World. We didn't notice until we were too far to make it back before closing time. She was in tears. I was able to speak to Danielle and the gift shop lady, who went out of their way to make sure we could pick up the water bottle somewhere after hours. They saved the day! We decided on a whim to take a trip down to check out Dinosaur World. We were curious after passing it several times on our way back and forth from trips to Tampa from Orlando. We took our 3 year old daughter who has taken an interest in dinosaurs recently. She thoroughly enjoyed her time spent at the playground, and even wanted to tour the indoor Dino museum five times (thank you, air conditioning!!). Masks are to be worn in the playground areas, gift shops, and indoor museum. There is an outdoor Dino exhibit to walk through and there are signs with the dinosaurs names in front for educational purposes. We loved walking around the park and talking about the different types of dinosaurs, what they ate, and how they may have sounded. The weather was nice but hot. You are allowed to bring in your own cooler with food and drinks as there isn't a concession stand or food or drinks sold on property. There are plenty of picnic tables under shaded areas surrounding the park and playgrounds. The fossil dig area was closed to do Covid , and was an extra charge on top of the park ticket price.
