It's not the most beautiful of showrooms but it has a great selection. We are still in the midst of COVID but I wanted to see the piece and make sure whatever I wanted was available. I was greeted warmly and Maria came to help me. I had been thinking about getting a traditional futon with a good mattress but they were much too heavy for me to manage. Futonland has a nice selection of sofas that easily open up to a futon style bed. The beautiful sofa that I saw online was at this showroom. I was reluctant to take the floor model because it was a bit dirty so Maria said she would call to see if a shipment was coming in anytime soon. She also told me if she couldn't get a new one she was sure the floor model would clean up nicely and she could offer a discounted price. I agreed to her offer and she gave me her cell number. It took a little more than a week but she followed up and said a new sofa would not be available. She cleaned the floor model and sent pictures. It cleaned up nicely and she offered a discount on the price. Even more accommodating, I asked for a delayed shipping date due to plumbing and painting issues and she agreed. She even sent me pictures of 3 different free pillows to choose from. I paid for "White Glove" delivery and the sofa was delivered on time and assembled. It is just beautiful! I am very pleased with the whole "Futonland" shopping experience. Advice to anyone reading this... when possible you should always buy from local stores that you can visit and view exactly what you are buying. Be a polite and respectful customer and mostly likely you will be treated the same way back.

Smooth, rich, and bold without being bitter. You could really taste the quality of the beans just one of those cups that hits the spot right away. After finishing my coffee, I decided to take a stroll through the store, and I'm glad I did. The whole space has this really cool, modern, minimalist vibe clean lines, neutral tones, and a calm, almost zen-like atmosphere. Everything feels thoughtfully designed, from the furniture to the smaller decor pieces. I ended up picking up one of their candles on a whim, and I'm obsessed. The scent is subtle but super relaxing exactly what you'd expect from a place that clearly values design and detail. Overall, Thuma is one of those places that just feels good to be in. They didn't do that. Instead, the order was shipped immediately and returned to sender. Thuma asked me to get in touch with FedEx instead of doing it themselves. The package was returned to sender and Thuma never refunded me nor returned any additional messages. I wrote multiple times over email, wrote to their social media team, and even tried CX leadership on linkedin. Nothing. No refund offer, no offer to make a new shipment.

After 10 years, the bed sagged so severely that my wife and I can no longer sleep on it without experiencing back pain. Hastens claims to have resolved the issue in newer models. Yet instead of honoring the warranty, they offered a 15% discount on a replacement bed priced between $22,000--$ 56,000. This is not a solution--it's an insult. A luxury brand should stand behind its products and its promises. I cannot recommend Hastens based on this experience. Hastens warranty is meaningless. For super-highly-priced bed a warranty ought to be a major consideration when making a purchse. It was massive but clunky and finished with inches of thick epoxy resin. The client thought it was a lost cause and questioned tossing it. I contacted RE-CO BKLYN after watching a video posted on several social media sites and knew their mission and business ethics would appeal to my client's eco aesthetic & consciousness. (full disclosure, I know co-owner Roger Benton socially.) After an initial onsite consultation which Roger answered and assuaged my client's curiosity about the process and project we scheduled a pick up for the massive hunk of wood which was carried up 3 flights of a narrow staircase by Roger & his partner. Several weeks later and my client is overwhelmed and in love with this "new" dining table. The entire floor plan of the apartment has been re-arranged to showcase the gorgeous table. It is sleek, sophisticated and stunning. What impressed me the most was the tactile quality of the finish. It is the softest, most buttery wood surface I've ever touched. You can feel the passion and professionalism in the product. My only hope is to find another interior project in which I can work with RECO-BKLYN again.

Everyone who comes over to the apartment immediately runs their hand over the smooth finish and asks where I got it. Not to mention the table has been through some accidents.
