The menu has a good variety, though the dishes felt more comforting than standout. A solid option if you're nearby, but not necessarily a place you'd go out of your way for. Food: The curries had good flavor and spice levels, but were a little oil-heavy for my preference. Portions were fair, and the dishes came out fairly quickly. Some items stood out more than others, but overall the food was enjoyable without being particularly memorable. Service: Service was efficient despite the busy crowd. Staff were polite and managed the small space well, though at peak hours it can feel a bit rushed because of how packed the restaurant gets. Ambience: The restaurant has a traditional Indian theme with old Maharaja portraits and classic décor elements throughout. The space is on the smaller side, and the décor can feel a bit overcrowded, making it slightly cramped during busy times. Still, it has a lively atmosphere that fits the tourist-heavy Circular Quay area.

Upscale Indian dining at an overpriced cost and questionable ingredient pairing. The best thing we…read moreate was the basmati rice so it's saying a lot. We constantly were just trying to get through each dish ordered, hoping it'd improve but the taste, quality, and texture - something was always off. The meat also smelled funny. Besan Fritters were rubber in texture with balsamic type cream sauce. Pork Curry spice was extreme and the water could not come fast enough. This had dish the most weird meat smell. The Beef Dosa tasted more like a sunscreen quesadilla. Poorly described but that was the meal in a nutshell for us. Great aesthetic and staff was semi attentive - although a reservation, there was no one at the host stand for 5min+ nor no one seated in the front section of the restaurant so awkwardly stood until the bartender finally gave in to ask if we needed help. Overall, wouldn't recommend. Especially in group settings where food would be shared since the menu incorporates a lot of different flavors/textures into one dish - not all would be inclined.

The dining room itself is so beautiful with the seating areas consisting of tables, booths and carved areas in the sandstone for larger groups. A great example of Sydney heritage. The table service was superb with out being pretentious. Very friendly and accommodating. I felt at home. The food... stunning!! Flavours, presentation and delivery 10/10. Can't say enough good things. And Can't wait to bring guests here. Their prices made a Fantastic night out very affordable. Thanks everyone here. You Rock!!

I waited in line for 90 minutes tonight to get chips and a burger. Not just any kind of burger...a…read morevegetarian burger. I thought to myself, this better be damn good...AND IT WAS!!! I am the furthest from a vegetarian that you could get (I had ribs for lunch today,) so I was pretty skeptical about how a veggie burger would taste...my skepticism was unfounded because I have to admit it was a pretty good burger. I ordered an original Big Burger meal with no mustard and soy bacon. I thought blasphemy, bacon cannot be soy...but I was the blasphemous one for doubting the Lord (of the Fries.) For the fries I had the original fries (chunky + sweet potato available,) ordered Belgian mayo and Vietnamese mayo (spicy chili) on the side. The Belgian mayo was alright, but the Vietnamese mayo was bomb.com. The fries are double cooked and definitely some of the better fries I've had in Sydney...my favourite fries have been from Ogalo's, but Lord of the Fries gives it a run for its money...I will need to do some more taste testing with their other sauces. If you've been to America, I'd say that Lord of the Fries reminds me of a vegetarian Five Guys since the fries are very similar in taste and quality (minus Cajun fries) and they both offer burgers and hot dogs. The nostalgia may have influenced my review a bit...so take that into consideration. If you don't want to wait in a queue for a super long time, go in the arvo or after their official launch on Aug. 29th. Praise the Lord (of the Fries!!!) ***Update: I went again to try their hot dogs and ordered the Chicago dog. If you're a fan of hot dogs and a carnivore I would skip the hot dog and get the burger, it tastes bland and it's a bit "off," most likely missing the meat taste. If you're a vegetarian and really want a hot dog then order to your hearts content.
