Quaint place in an easy to get to location. Staff is friendly and fast. We do take out here weekly! I highly recommend trying it!

I just visited to get me some Naan bread. It made my day finding out this is close to my area I visit. The guy at the front gave recommendations that I asked for and made the experience just that much better! Very personable. Great bread! I will be a regular at this place! Struggling to leave this review. After ordering my food and requesting it to be mild - same as I've ordered multiple times before - this wasn't mild. The spices make my vomit response really sensitive otherwise I'd just eat the food if it were a little spicier. So I got home started to eat the food and, unfortunately, despite my request for it to be mild spicy, it most certainly was not. I saw the owner tonight and he's usually pretty friendly, but he just kind of tossed my food at me (not rudely, just not the same I've seen him do before). Please don't attack me for calling out what I went thru tonight. I tipped well, was pleasant to everyone at the restaurant, etc.,, the treatment I ended up getting wasn't what I deserved. My Indian friends were pretty upset about this interaction and have assured me they'll provide better service. So, for the future PAL has lost a customer. read more

What a great find! Not fancy. Almost a cafeteria vibe. The food is definitely the focus. Delicious aromas met us at the door along with the owner, Mohinder, who took the time to explain all the dishes. We opted for the veggie & meat bowls with byriani rice. The Madras Curry Chicken was nice and tender in the delicious curry sauce. Our favorite item was the Veggie Kofta in a savory cashew sauce. Honestly, this sauce would be great on any/everthing. Sadly, we don't live in the area, but will make it a go-to when we visit. read more

Topeka is blessed with multiple Indian restaurants of note, and Pal is definitely one of them. I've only ever ordered carry out, but they're always nice on the phone, the orders are always packed beautifully, and it's quick. Even with the 2025 traffic unpleasantness on 6th, it's still an easy in/out. The food, by the way, is also fantastic. I'm a biryani guy, and it's always perfect. Their butter chicken is great, too. read more

What isn't good at this pace?? There's something for everyone. The less spicy butter chicken is one of my faves but last night had the Chicken Tika kebab and loved it! If you are looking for Indian food this is the best place! Convenient location, right near 6th and Macvicar. The raita yogurt sauce is a must have. Try everything!!! Delicious food! The chef is from Global Indian restaurant and started his own. His wife is super sweet, hospitable and knowledgeable. They know thier customers and their orders really well. Ordered food for a family dinner for about 10 people. A few had never had Indian food and one was a vegan. Was able to get an array that satisfied everyone and they all raved about how great it was. I called in to order and they were super nice and even helped me get the food out to my car when I went to pick it up. Food was really delicious. I had some appetizers and main courses. My family loves chicken tikka masala, but there are so many things to love. Highly recommend. read more

Visiting Pal Indian Cuisine from Texas, was very pleasantly surprised to find an Indian restaurant in Topeka. Food is very tasty and authentic, tastes like home! The owner has been here for a long time and the experience shows. He is very helpful, and especially, the chai is great! I had Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Saag, and Chicken Tikka Masala in their meat thaali dish. All was excellent! read more

We finally were able to get carry out and it was pretty good! My husband claims that some of the chicken tastes like what I can make, which wasn't an insult, because I make some good stuff. It just wasn't the best Indian food we've had but I for sure would try it again. I would like to go in for lunch and try and make my own plate. read more

The food was quite good. However, we had driven 25 miles to get there, and were under the impression from the internet that it was a nice place to eat. Wrong. The atmosphere was beyond nothing. I cannot believe that food that price is served on PAPER plates with a plastic fork. I asked for a real plate and silverware, but was told they had none. I should have taken it home and used my own. It really did ruin the experience to pay $50 for a dinner for two on paper plates with a plastic fork. read more

This place is amazing! All the food we ordered was excellent and fresh, really some of the best Indian food I have ever had. My husband and I are from Lawrence and stopped here on a whim when we were getting our car fixed in Topeka, but we would actually drive from Lawrence to Pal just to eat dinner--the food was *that* good. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, samosa, and pakora. Both the tikka masala and the saag paneer were incredibly fresh without the inclusion of too much cream or oil, which allowed the spices in each dish to shine through. The saag paneer in particular was really phenomenal with the taste of greens really coming out to make for a wonderful dish. The tikka masala had an abundant quantity of chicken in it (something we often find lacking at other Indian restaurants), with a sauce that was rich without being heavy. Both the pakora and the samosa were super flavorful and fried to a perfect crispness, without being oily or greasy at all. The naan are huge and fluffy, and the garlic naan was covered in wonderful freshly chopped garlic that went great with the whole meal. Just typing this makes me want to drive half an hour to get it again. So good! read more
