Customer beware. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience and do not recommend this business due to poor customer service, lack of care, and low quality work. I spent over $5,000 with this company in 2021, so I expected professionalism and accountability. Since the original installation, two of my blinds have repeatedly fallen. We tried fixing the issue ourselves over the years and didn't formally report it until this year because we genuinely tried to make it work on our own. After finally reaching out, they sent a salesperson instead of a technician and initially wanted to charge me $250 just to address the problem. I then reported the matter to the Better Business Bureau hoping for a fair resolution. My request was simple, send a new technician to properly fix the poor installation. They refused and still wanted to charge me $150. They also failed to install required plastic safety pieces, which now creates a hazard for my 2.5-year-old daughter. Palace Interior Design Inc. provided an incorrect diagnosis on our existing blind, stating that the motor was damaged and needed to be completely replaced. Based on this assessment, we authorized the purchase of a custom-made blind. However, when a second blind also stopped working, we contacted a second technician who confirmed that the issue was simply a matter of battery charging -- no replacement was necessary. The custom product was never delivered or installed at our residence, yet Palace Interior refuses to issue a refund, citing a "final sale" policy. We believe this policy cannot be applied when the purchase was made based on a faulty and misleading professional diagnosis. We have filed a dispute with our credit card and forwarded all correspondence as evidence. We do not recommend this company. read more

There is no warranty from Palace, regardless what their website says or their paperwork. Their warranty is what you can win in court. I paid $7k for motorized shades. I received nothing but frustration. 7 blinds installed wrong, 6 fixed with masking tape from a technician, all failed. Dead motor within 7 months, they sent me a video how to remove it myself. Just after the dead motor, I had another shade serviced twice by different technicians, I had to pay for them to adjust it to how you can see in this video. Now all communications are ignored, so I now share this video with you. When the technician came the second time to "fix" this shade, I noticed how the shade material was cut 2x too long (twice as long as all the other shades). I told the technician this is causing a problem, he said "it should be fine". Ask yourself if this looks fine. read more

I used this company in Miami in three different places and I was very salified with their job and blinds, but my last place, here in Broward was completely opposite. The material was nothing like what they showed me, the blinds don't close completely.. they have been falling down and my kitchen the very first month fell down completely. Maria from the installation department is extremely rude. Has hung up on me this morning alone 3 times. We were initially rescheduled from Friday, May 7th, 2021 at 9-12 PM and at 7 PM we were called notifying us that the appointment needed to be rescheduled. We were going to be the first ones today Wednesday, May 12th and now come to find out we werent. I've now lost 2 days of work staying home waiting for an installation. I was told my appointment was from 9 AM - 10 AM and it is now 1 PM and the driver is at a different appointment. They are misleading. I just got a text message stating they've been trying to contact me and have been unsuccessful. When calling the number back it was an employee that hasn't been with the company for months. I am going to explain my bad experience with "Palace Interior Windows BL", how defective their products are and how unprofessional they are. The contract was written in Spanish and later partly in English and Spanish, and I had trouble understanding it. It started by a saleman arriving late to my appointment. This person actually refused to leave my house, and kept staying until he made the sale. I almost had to call the police department to get him out of my house. He kept on lowering the price, he called someone on the telephone to even lower more the price to finally convince me to buy the electric shades. It was highly unprofessional for the salesman to make me feel as uncomfortable as he did by not leaving when I asked. This salesman did not know any English. When I saw the form that I signed was in Spanish and he told me not to questioned it. He told me not to worry that he was going to finish it later and that he didn't speak or write any English. I came to the United States over 50 years ago and I speak Spanish, but it is very difficult for me to write and read Spanish. Later on, I received a copy of the contract that I signed to my surprise it was written half in Spanish and half in English. This not how it was when I signed the contract on the tablet. The day that they installed the shades, they asked me if the shades looked fine? I told them that they looked ok to me, and they told me that I needed to sign on a dotted line that I had accepted receiving the shades. They didn't provide me with any copy of what I had just signed. Immediately, a lady called me asking me if I was satisfied with this product and I told her, yes. I thought, and based on my past experiences with many others companies, that I would have 30 or at least some days to test these shades. To my disappointment and dissatisfaction this company does not give you any warranty on their defective products. 11 days after they installed the shades they got stuck when I was opening them. The edges of the shades were unraveling and they were getting stuck in the motorized engine. I immediately took a picture and sent the company it via an email. They called me and told me that they will be sending someone to look at the problem. I told them not to send the same Saleman. Well, they sent me the same Saleman, again, he didn't want you to leave my house again. After asking him to please leave he finally did and before he left he told me that I would have to pay for the repair. I was shocked that he told me this, after all these shades were installed only 11 days ago. I informed this salesman that I was able to see the shades rolls after they were installed. When I questioned it, he advised that it was not possible to be covered. I told him that he told me that I was not going to see the rolls and that I had seen other shades installed and that the rolls were covered. After arguing for a long time with this salesman he advised me that yes, they could do it for an extra charge. I told them that he told me that this was included in the contract, so I did not have to pay extra money for the rolls to be covered. They tell you that they are including a 3 year warranty with a discount. This turned out not to be true, because they can raise the price and charge you whatever they feel like and make you think that they are giving you a discount. Later on, after the Saleman left another person from the company called me and told me that he will fix my shades for $75 with the warranty. I told him that the shades were only installed 11 days ago and that I was not going pay for some defective shades that they sold me, to come and get theirs shades, give me my money back and that I was going to file a dispute with my credit card company. A few days later I received an email where this company advised me that they will fix my shades with my warranty for $188.19. Please read the following, which is written at the button of the form that you are signing. They do not explain this to you and they have no warranty below: "Products are custom made. NO REFUNDS, exchanges, or cancellations. It may take up to 20 business days to be ready. Plantation Shutters may take up to 16 weeks. The installation area must be clear; Palace Interior will not be liable for any property damage. Bad checks or failure to pay on delivery could result in additional fees includingfines but not limited to bad check fees, collection fees, attorney's fees, and property lien. For Warranty information go to palaceblinds.com/lifetime-limited-warranty Your signature hereunder confirms that you have read and understand the terms and conditions herein." In summary, I am totally disgusted with the professionalism and defective materials used by this company. I got an installation done from them in my door and when they went to install the pieces they took did not work so they had to come back again several weeks later so on top of me waiting over a month to get the initial install I had to wait several weeks to have the other pieces that were broken replaced. I'm on my 3rd reschedule today after their inconsiderate and unprofessional approach to setting appointments and not providing confirmations of appointments and much less following through the actual appointment. I have to be chasing them down to make sure my appointment is still on after hours of waiting. 1st time was at the end of the 3 hour window they gave me, I had to call to find out if they were going to make it or not after making me waste time and reject MY client appointments for this, for the operator to tell me, "oh they are taking longer than expected sorry, we can reschedule." 2nd time she schedules me for the "1st appointment of the day 9a-10a" and when I call to find out the same operator tells me there is no appointment for me that she doesn't know what I'm talking about, even though she is the one who scheduled it with me over the phone a few days prior!!!! So she forgot to writing it down and didn't own up to it of course making it sound like I'm making it up. I don't understand why schedule if they knowingly are not able to make it. No clue on time management or GPS use for more accuracy on ETA or time it takes to install something that supposedly they are professionals at doing for so many years. They gave me an appointment as supposedly the "first installation of the day" again!!( 9a-10a) I call them to confirm at 9:07a and the installer hadn't even left the Doral warehouse yet. "Well operator can I get a more accurate estimate of his arrival then, since you set my appointment for 9a-10a window knowing that I am in Broward county". her reply was: "idk whenever he leaves the warehouse he'll call you." I will not only NOT recommend these people but I will do my best to steer all my acquaintances, colleagues, friends and family away from this "business" whenever asked or not asked. Let see how today goes, its 940a I called again and he still has not left the warehouse. And she estimated 40 minutes to get to my address from the time he leaves, which is, "soon", since I'm so far from Doral. Of course she could not tell me why or how their scheduling system worked. The young lady that answered this time at least tried to demonstrate some empathy to get me off the phone. 10a Installer called to say he is on his way. 1035a Installers arrived and had my window treatments up in just under 15 minutes. Awesome! Luckily that they were still on my driveway when I tried to raise the shades they just installed. They jammed and nearly fell. I had to run out and have them come back to fix it. Both installers returned and had major issues getting it right by no fault of their own. They were both troubleshooting on how to best make it work since my wall had nothing to hold the anchors needed to put up the shades. Additionally it appears that the factory where the customization of shades took place cut it wrong or built it wrong because the installer also had to make a quick fix with tape to compensate of the unevenness of the the panels. So after removing top casing from my door, cutting a piece of the side casing and leaving a bunch of holes on the wall (understandably) it was mission accomplished at 1155a. Great installers. Poor customer service. Terrible scheduling system/procedures. read more

Shame on me for buying from Palace. After receiving a quote and agreeing to it, the vendor came back and told me he had to charge me a larger amount, admitting he misquoted me. I had to sit with him to review the change. He didn't know how to produce the formal estimate, so I sieved through his documents and generated my estimate for myself based on his numbers. We agreed to a larger quote. When the installer came - he brought the wrong blinds. The following week another installer came, and the blinds were either over-sized or were installed improperly. When he left, he left a huge mess for me to clean up - including the removed blinds. A 'specialist' came the next week to address the issue - he promised he'd have the blinds completely remeasured and reinstalled within 5 days. Its been three weeks and we haven't heard a word despite trying to get a hold of them. What a disaster. UPDATE: After finally getting my blinds installed (and they were installed misaligned), I expressed my concerns to the vendor about the repeated mistakes from cost to installation. They offered to reduce the price as a means to reconcile the various inconveniences - specifically loss of time. We agreed to a reduced price and I made my final payment. My mistake for not getting it writing. About three weeks later, I receive a letter from a collections agency requesting to pay the balance from the original price, plus an additional 50%. Had I known they would go behind my back and report my invoice to a collections agency - I wouldn't have accepted their offer to reduce the invoice amount. Back in September of 2015, Palace Interior installed 8 blinds on my windows. I didn't do my homework to get a quote from other companies but went off the recommendation of this company from my family. It was an expensive purchase of 8 blinds for $680. Not long after, the metal bar at the bottom of all of the blinds began to fall off. I called today to see if they could come out and repair the blinds. The blinds are no longer under warranty so the cost of repair would be $200 + I am disappointed with the quality of their product and that they are not willing to repair an issue that is occurring on all 8 of the blinds. I recommend you find a better company with better quality products and better guarantees. read more

Super unprofessional , and I still haven't gotten my curtains installed it has been over a week and half waiting for an install date. My experience so far has been excellent. The woman who answered my call was courteous and immediately responded to my questions. My Saturday appointment was 4:30 pm and Marco the sales rep called to confirm and arrived on time. He was pleasant and knowledgeable about his product. He measured and provided a quote and approx delivery time. I have read the reviews and I know most of the time people only post the bad. I do not expect to have a negative experience and will post my post-installation story when it is completed. Part 2 My blinds were installed 2 days early, they were exactly what I ordered. The installer Michel called and arrived when he said he would. They look beautiful. There were 2 follow up calls to make certain I was satisfied with the service and quality. This company installed last year 3 verticals of my living room and 2 horizontal blinds in my bedroom. It seems that the installation was done by an inexpert technician. The verticals don't close properly . You could see openings in between each one. The horizontal ones have the same problem at night I can see the outside lights coming through the openings and during the day the sun entering through the window. I would not recommend anyone this company. Their job was awful, the measurement terrible. read more

Terrible products and installation service, after 3 times of measurements and installations my curtains look awful. I used this company 3 months ago to install and provide the new curtains for my apartment unaware of how awful their service is and what terrible products they are selling. I requested a basic wood/blinds for my living room, den, bedroom and bathroom. and they offered me blackouts for the bedroom and I said ok as the main purpose was to block the sunrise. Well the first measurements were wrong and they actually installed the curtains knowing the size was wrong, of course when I saw the big gap between the wall and curtains I ask them to please fix them, this same story happened 3 THREE TIMES for all the curtains not only one. Different technicians each time and all of them got it wrong. I think the biggest problem with this company is not only that they knew the service I received was terrible but wrongfully they took advantage that I am an older woman and tried to convince me that the service I received was more than enough. This order was a total of $900 for 6 small windows which is not a cheap service, and now I need to replace them again as they look terrible (please look at the pictures). At the end I got awful curtains, 2 are stuck and don't open, 3 are completely wrinkled due to the cheap material, 1 has 1.5 inch gap on each side where all the light comes in, and all of the borders full of holes due to the 3 installations. After contacting them again to fix this issue I haven't receive a call back yet. read more

I want to say that the service of this company is HORRIBLE !!! The gentlemen that came out to my house has no experience what so ever on how to take measurements. When my curtains came in and the installer put them on you can see that the light comes in all corners of the window. Some are short and others are not fitted right. I called so they can see what happen, and it happen to be the same gentleman who took the measurements. He said it was done right. He had no clue and did not want to listen. He said that they can add expanders. I told him that it needs to be corrected. Or that I want my money back. He took a video and left . I called for an update and supposedly the manager spoke with me but never provided me her name and told me that the only thing they can do is add expanders. So I paid over $700.00 paid in full and live in a fixed income, so they can tell me add expanders? This company is a JOKE !!! Promised me one thing and it was almost a month after they came to do the install. I had to keep following up with them to get updates on the install. Terrible communication. They also called me the day before the scheduled install to say they didn't have the color I chose and offered me another at no discount. The blinds installed look dirty and they didn't even bother to take the packing tape off of them when they were done. Stay away from this company. The salesperson did not measure the blinds correctly. The blinds do not sit flush on the floor because they are an inch too wide. The installer told me this happens all the time. I texted the installer's supervisor Fabricio who did not even respond. The other room shades are white, but they use huge silver brackets that are very visible. When I spoke to Daniel, who stated he was another "supervisor," he said they do not use white brackets and that if I wanted them I would have to pay $98 for them! Incredible! He refused to provide me the name of his superior / owner in order to assist me further. Of course, I was able to obtain the name of the owner very easily on my own. I will be contacting the owner, Mario Vines and Magbiel Ortiz, Operations Manager. Hopefully they will be interested in knowing about the terrible, unprofessional, and poor customer service that his employees are providing.
