We're in the middle of remodeling our home and needless to say COVID delays with construction materials hasn't made it easy. We were so lucky to meet George at Palata tile. He's been so helpful. There store offers so much I can't even begin to tell you. He was able to look up stock and let us know what was available on the spot, so we could stay on track with our completion date. If you're looking for any kind of tile, flooring, carpet and even kitchen cabinets I would start here first!

I've used this company twice and there was a reason I came back and will continue to do so. They are professional, have great prices and do beautiful work as well.

Love George, Magic and the lovely man who helped me load all the heavy tiles into my mommy van. They helped me pickup the tiles for both the kitchen and bathrooms. They are easy going and helped me with measurements. Showroom was big and clean. Got all the tile on sale! For sure I'll Be back again for my next project!

I am helping my parents with their home renovation. Both are in their 70's, have never done this before and are on a very limited budget. We searched high and low for several months for a business we could trust and afford. Then we met Barak at Palata Tile. We learned of Palata after leaving another vendor just a few streets down. I saw Palata's advertisement on their window as well as all the parked cars so I thought what can I lose! 1. Customer service- Barak was really a pleasure to work with. We came down to the store a few times to compare them to the others on 9th street and several other vendors in LA and Orange County. He always acknowledged us and even when busy made it a point to tell us he would be right there to help. We let him know what we were looking for as well as our tight budget. He provided us with several options and suggestions and really tried to work with us. Weeks later after we did our comparison shopping, we ordered a beautiful laminate floor for mom's living room and bedrooms and porcelain tile for her kitchen and dining room. The Laminate was not in stock and so Barak had to order it. I requested to pick up our tile and laminate floor a week later. When our contractors arrived at my folks house they said they needed it much sooner than that. I called Barak in a panic and he was able to have all items ready the next day :-) Can you believe that!!!!! 2. Value- like I said I really did my shopping for months before we chose Palata Tile. We even went to Hernandez Brothers, HD Supply, Lumbar liquidators and at least 4 other flooring places including 1 that a contractor recommended just a few streets down from Palata...The prices and the quality of the laminate and tile at Palata really cannot be beat. The parentals have been so impressed with Barak and Palata that they have recommended both to our family and friends!!!

Palata Tile and Stone Company. Get it in writing! I spent a great deal of time choosing my tile flooring. I am extremely thrifty...Hassan had to look up all prices because nothing is marked(1st clue) He told me this tile was $1.99 per sq ft so I repeated twice $1.99? I made him repeat it twice as well because it was a good price for decent tile. I had him call to make sure it was in stock. It was and he can get it in 2 days. I went to quality granite(his recommendation) to choose my granite and quartzite for Hayssan to install on my counters and well I didn't have time to go back to order my tile.I called him later to tell him I would be in the next day to place the order. Next day, I called to tell him I was on my way. Hassan then tells me that he is ready to order my $3.49 tile . WHAT?! Where did 3.49 come from. I explained that I wanted to 1.99 tile that I took off the shelf that he priced for me when he followed me through the show room. It was the absolutely only tile that I even picked up in the store. He said he would have NEVER told me that the tile was 1.99. Said he'd never tell someone he could get that price...He said I was confused .....seriously? ..So I quess the thinks he is the only one that can get that tile???? Hassan, you have lost not only the $2000 tile+supplies sale but another tens of thousand dollar quartzite installation sale. And yes, Floor Decor(yards from your store) got the same tile for me at pennies more than your original stated price. See Mike at FloorDecor in Upland. Very professional! Also shout out to Arizona tile for giving Military discount...unlike Hayssan at Palata.

Just getting around to write this review. Actual work was performed roughly a year ago. When it comes to hiring someone to do some type of job for you, no matter what they do right, it's the work that they don't do well that sticks with you and you remember the most. That is what leaves a lasting impression. Unfortunately Palata Tile did not stand behind their job even though they claim a 1 year warranty. Such is the case with the work they performed for us. First, what they did well. We hired Palata Tile & Stone to lay flooring tile throughout our complete home and perform a complete kitchen upgrade. I provided the tiles for the floor and that was performed well. The kitchen upgrade (i knew the cabinets would not be high end at the price we were purchasing them at) but all that came out well also and so far they are holding up. White Kitchen Cabinets with Brushed Nickel Hardware. Looks Nice. Now what they did not do well. First gripe, they seemed to provide a good price for installing baseboard trim and so I agreed to have that done. But they did not paint the baseboards. What home owner wants baseboards installed but not painted and I think if a customer is requesting to have baseboards installed, they are also expecting them to be painted! If paint was not included in price, they should have explained that to me in the beginning. Second gripe, i distinctly remember asking for under cabinet lighting. Once all cabinets were installed, they did not do any under cabinet lighting and stated they do not do electrical. And now the biggest gripe. The Backsplash that I had installed was done very very poorly. Once the installer had finished i pointed out the poor work and he got angry at my wife and raised his voice ( i was unfortunately not there at the time). He stated that we need to clean it up. Who installs tiles and then tells the customer they need to clean it up. I contacted Palata multiple, I mean multiple times and even spoke to them face to face, each time they claimed they will fix it and send someone. As soon I leave their establishment or get off the phone with them, nothing. They just ignored me. I think they were hoping I would eventually just give up. If they come on here an reply and state they did contact me, let me tell you that is not true at all! I am going to post pics of the horrible job that the installer did. I wonder if he has ever installed tile before. If you decide to get your work done by Palata Tile, I recommend you get everything you want in writing and review it very well. My mistake was paying them before the fix was completed. I unfortunately believed them that they would fix it because they are very friendly and state, Oh don't worry, we will take care of you. Please look at the photos. All the backsplash is that bad. Would you consider this a professional job? Would you be happy after spending so much money and you end up with this? Now I am going to have to eventually remove them and get new tiles put in. Leave comments if you think I am way off and that you think it looks great.

I want to thank George and his whole crew that worked on our floors. It looks beautiful!! George was always friendly and helpful every time I came in to the store (about 4 or 5 times) and couldn't make up my mind with which tile I wanted. I would recommend Palata Tile and I am sure we will be back when we change our carpet upstairs. Thanks again!!!

Not even 2 months and the bull nose trim on the stair is popping out.

Over promise and under deliver. Price was decent but instalation was poor. I guess you do get what you pay for. Poor job was made on my stairs and I am still waiting for them to send some one to fix my stairs all I get is we will call you by the end of the day to let you know when they will be there. Never have I gotten that call back that they assured me I was going to get. At first they tell you they have the best installer and that they will take care of you but once the money is in there hand they forget who you are.

We've been doing a remodel for the last 5 months and have had to deal with many companies & individuals of all kinds. Palata will definitely be on the "good list". We are 100% happy with the turn out! We purchased granite and tile for the backsplash in our kitchen and bathrooms and ended up paying quite a bit less than what we had been quoted by other companies for the same product. Our sales person was Manuel, he was easy to work with, kept his word throughout the process and his installers kicked a$$. We couldn't be happier!

    Holly P.

So far so good, was able to pick out nice cabinets and granite at a reasonable price. They came to measure within a few days. They will start tearing out old cabinets this Monday. I will keep yelp updated with before and after photos!

We looked everywhere and liked the products and prices at Palata. We had wood looking tile floor installed which is gorgeous and everyone raves about how good it looks. We also had an accent wall and backslash installed with the coolest looking multi colored tile. They did some other work for us too and all of the contractors were very good and we would definitely recommend them. In fact we are planning on using them on our next project.

So when that was what we were faced with, with had zero clue what we wanted. Perusing the big chain tile shops left us frustrated and overwhelmed. Other shops had limited selection in what we were looking for. And then we found Anaya Tile, whose Yelp reviews were impressive. We soon learned why. By the time we walked in to Anaya Tile, we were completely unsure of what we were doing. Adam greeted us and offered to help. He spent so much time with us going through options, helping us navigate all the types of tile, laying things out for us, and pulling tiles he thought we might like. We went around and around and he showed nothing but patience and helpfulness the whole time. Even after we selected a design, we ended up changing our minds again, spending another block of time with Adam. It was so nice to feel like we could take our time deciding with the help of someone trustworthy and enthusiastic. Through the time we spent at Anaya Tile, we came to know it as a family business, very community oriented and passionate about helping their customers. Our bathroom project took a very long time and there were a lot of bumps in the road. Adam and his family at Anaya Tile were not one of them. Now that the project is done, the tile is our favorite part. We would recommend Anaya Tile without reservation.

Before finding J&L Innovative Flooring, I had already met with four different flooring companies for in-home estimates and had a good understanding of the costs involved. I was actually planning to hire another contractor. On a Friday afternoon, I called J&L Innovative Flooring and spoke with Larissa, the owner. She was out of town until Tuesday, so I honestly told her I didn't want to waste her time since I had already received multiple estimates and was leaning toward another company. She completely understood but offered to give me a general estimate and explain her scope of work over the phone. Shortly afterward, Larissa texted me a detailed estimate and outlined the work she recommended. I then spent time reading through the company's reviews and found countless satisfied customers. That convinced me to schedule an in-home consultation, and our family is so glad we did. When Larissa came out on Tuesday, I asked countless questions about floor preparation, moisture barriers, moldings, transitions, and the installation process. She answered every question thoroughly and emphasized doing everything according to the manufacturer's installation requirements and warranty. It was immediately obvious that she has extensive knowledge and experience. Unlike many contractors--including one I had previously hired--she wasn't interested in taking shortcuts to save time or money. Just by inspecting our existing floor, she recognized that our concrete slab would require leveling. She assured me that concrete leveling (within reasonable limits) was already included in her estimates at no additional charge. That level of honesty and professionalism immediately earned my trust. Our project also had some unique requirements. We needed the installation completed in two phases because one room was being used to store appliances and furniture. I also wanted to use the same flooring system that had protected our home during the slab leak: Bostik MVP4 moisture barrier with Bostik Best adhesive. Although many installers now use newer systems, this was the system I trusted most and to me worth the increased expense. I also wanted to purchase the flooring materials myself because of an existing relationship with a flooring supplier. Larissa happily accommodated both requests. She even contacted several of her own flooring suppliers to make sure I was getting the best possible pricing. She ultimately matched the same discount (never told her the price)I I was receiving on the engineered hardwood and secured excellent pricing on the adhesive and moisture barrier. It's clear she has strong relationships throughout the industry and genuinely looks out for her customers. Her knowledge on various flooring manufacturers is truly amazing. Most flooring contractors will push u into a certain wood manufacturer that they could make the most commission on but with Larissa u can choose whatever you want and she will try to get you the best deal. For the installation, Larissa assigned Enrique, who has more than 20 years of experience. From demolition to floor preparation, installation, and baseboards, Enrique worked with incredible care and precision. He carefully protected our kitchen cabinets and preserved our bullnose stair nosings instead of taking the easy route and replacing them. Our slab required extensive leveling and sanding before installation. Enrique took his time to ensure the subfloor was perfectly prepared and thoughtfully selected the best-looking planks for the most visible areas of the house. That level of planning and attention to detail is something many installers simply don't do because it takes extra time. One thing that really stood out was that Enrique hand-wiped every single plank after installation while working on his hands and knees. That's over 1,600 square feet of flooring cleaned one plank at a time. Watching that level of dedication was truly impressive. Throughout the project, whenever an issue came up, Larissa immediately found a solution. At one point I forgot to order the T-moldings from the flooring manufacturer, and they were on backorder for two weeks. Rather than delaying the project, Larissa leveraged her network to have a custom T-molding made and professionally stained within just two days. It's rare to find a contractor who is knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and genuinely committed to doing things the right way. Larissa and her team exceeded our expectations from start to finish. If you're looking for a flooring contractor you can completely trust, I highly recommend calling Larissa at J&L Innovative Flooring.

Their network is now 2-for-2 when it comes to quality, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. Larissa was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. She made the entire process easy with her excellent communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail. Our project included replacing carpet with a beautiful 45-degree pattern laminate in one bedroom, removing the carpet in our hallway and installing matching laminate, and upgrading the carpet in four bedrooms. What impressed us most was the seamless transition between our newly remodeled stairs, the existing flooring, and the new installation--you truly can't tell where one ends and the other begins. The craftsmanship was exceptional, and the entire project was completed in just two days. We couldn't be happier with the quality of both the products and the workmanship. Larissa also referred us to a painter, and that experience was just as fantastic, which speaks volumes about the quality of the professionals she works with. If you're looking for a flooring company that delivers exceptional results while making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable, I highly recommend J&L Flooring.
