What a wonderful find! With all the post pandemic shortages in the big box stores we were so stressed finding a flooring company that actually had inventory. Our realtor who helped us close on our new home, suggested we try the flooring company as they have used them in the past. Expert Hardwood Flooring was perfect - they had the flooring in-stock and had the matching stair nose material in-stock! Expert Hardwood Flooring works very hard at showing you what they have in-stock, what is incoming, and what is backordered. We chose the flooring on our very first visit, confirmed stock, and had the order ready for pick up by our contractor the next day! Absolutely love our new flooring - especially the stairs as they are the most difficult to match. As a side note, we ran into a couple that had purchased and installed flooring bought at a big box store but could not find matching stair material (stair nose) as they are backordered for many months - so they came into this business looking for help. The owner was very nice and showed them their options and we even chatted with the other customers and said we came to Expert Hardwood Flooring because the big box stores could not deliver BOTH flooring AND matching stair nose. I've shopped around for flooring for over a year. Sounds crazy, but I was never comfortable with the quality or price of other flooring stores in the area and most did not offer installation. Some stores had great flooring, but they would outsource their installation. Not here, Expert has their own installation crews. The selection of flooring in this store is plentiful. Many choices and price points. Prices are very comparable and fair. Henry, Johnny, Luvia and Robert are some of the nicest people I've met. All provided wonderful professional customer service. Robert and his crew of installers were the best. Everyday that they were at my residence, they were polite, professional and cleaned up at the end of the day before leaving. So I should of known there would be problems when I was filing out my contract and overheard a carpet installer tell Henry that they installed the wrong carpet in the wrong house. We were having 1300 square feet of tile planks installed. My problem started with arriving on time. They said they would be at my house to install tile between 9 and 10. Well they arrived around 12. I had removed the toilet from my bathroom and the installers brought it back inside without asking. Installers also changed the ac temp to 70, but then would leave the front door open daily! Installers also went into my kitchen drawers to get a knife to use to open the tile box. All of this would of been fine if they asked. Some days they showed up. Some days they didn't even though they said they would be there. I work and didn't have time to mess around with this. We also had to have over 15 tile planks replaced because they were loose. Not to mention how slow the process was going. Half way through the job the installer got covid. So we asked for another installer. 2nd set of installers worked much faster and finished. A couple days later we had baseboards installed. They did a great job. We asked they take back 20 bags of thin set that wasn't used from the tile install. Well the next day my painter came and asked where all his supplies were. Well the baseboard installers took all the stuff when they took the thin set back to their warehouse. I called and spoke with Johnny and said he'd call me back. Well no surprise..we didn't get a call back and lost out on $80 worth of painting supplies. There was also some measuring discrepancies. So be sure you know how much space you have. They refunded my money because I called them out on it but if I didn't know I would of been scammed out of a couple hundred dollars. We also have gaps in the grout where it didn't set. Not worth us calling them back. There's too many other tile installers out there to deal with all of this nonsense. It's hard to give stars out because there were too many minuses to offset any positives. But I wouldn't recommend them to install tile. Maybe as the name implies..hardwood experts. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! Over a year ago I purchased their Barbados Parliament SPC flooring and began having issues shortly after installation. The faulty product has developed visible broken interlocking joints and as a result of it, the flooring makes a cracking noise every time you step on it. My mistake was thinking I could fix it by reinstalling the problem area. The joints are continuing to break throughout my entire 1500sqft home and when I reached out to Expert Hardwood Flooring to inquire about their warranty; they told me it was voided due to an unpaid invoice. Something I was not aware of and offered to make things right by paying it. They refused my payment and will not take any accountability over their faulty product. Beware !!! Beware !!! Beware !!! He installed inferior flooring and said take it up with the manufacturer, although we noticed the issue right away and their response was oh it will come up. I couldn't figure out how to do a zero star review, so I had to give them one Update: 7/12/19 our floors are still unfinished since April. The marks are all over still from their mallets. They have had multiple people come out to try to get marks off and the marks won't come up. 8/3/19 Still no solution even after two more attempts to get the marks off. They are saying we have to keeeeeep waiting for the Manufacturer to deem them bad. This is can get frustrating and they placed a lien against out home because there is a balance which is due upon completion, in which I refuse to pay until then finish the floors. read more

This is our second time using Expert Hardwood Flooring to redo the flooring in one of our homes. In 2008, we bought all of our laminate flooring from them and installed it ourselves. In 2018, when we bought our new home, we went back to them because their prices can't be beat! We gave them all our measurements and they placed the order quickly. Before the flooring was in, we arranged for them to perform the demo, since there was about a week's worth of demo to be done. Once they finished the downstairs demo, they started that install right away, while still wrapping up the demo upstairs. It was all very efficient. In 2018 we used real wood, and also had tile installed in our bathrooms. Again, there was no one else in the area that could even get close to the price that we got at Expert. Henry was also very helpful with the issues that arose during install. We had a hard time matching the grout in a couple of bathrooms, and Henry had his team redo the grout two times (and they even redid the tile one time), to make sure that everything was just right! We'd definitely recommend Expert Hardwood Floors for all your flooring purchases and installations! read more

It was a big job and his crews handled everything. We loved the quality craftsmanship of each crew. The tile guys kick butt, they are so good and so fast. The marble fabrication in my house was super custom and intricate. Each shower has slabs of marble and soapbox's. Henry and his team of artists truly love what they do. Ten years + ago they did our engineered hardwood floors, granite counters, and bathroom remodels... when we had a flooding in our kitchen area due to a laundry machine issue, we knew Henry was our go to guy. Keep in mind they are not the cheapest but they are worth it... we ended up doing tile in the kitchen laundry area and wanted to extend our kitchen island with teak butcher block. We wanted to save as much of the wood floors as possible so they made the transition from tile to wood work well. I gave Nico a very bad drawing of what I thought was a shelving unit underneath the teak and Nico produced a piece of art to shelter our cook books and nicknacks... the guys also worked some miracles in matching the bathrooms as the older tiles were no longer available so they worked with quartz and transitioned beautifully by tiling floor to ceiling... true artists at work. Go see Henry! They came out and replaced our entire downstairs flooring. They also put in new custom cabinets and new granite countertops in our kitchen. Great guys who work fast, but are very good at what they do. Henry and the crew at the store are a pleasure to work with. I read a previous complaint about going into their store. You are not walking into a Lowes. It's a store that is used by mostly contractors so they are not going to come running up to you when you walk in asking if they can help you, mostly because they are always helping others. After a disastrous experience with Empire Today we went to Expert Flooring who was recommended by a friend. We were in the market for hardwood flooring for our downstairs in our 22 year old tract home. Henry Chung took care of us, no pressure at all and with flooring costs, demolition of tile AND install they came in at nearly half the price of Empire. Needed flooring and a friend mentioned them since they were the cheapest and most knowledgeable. I'm in the San Gabriel valley and it was worth renting a U-haul to pick up, which costed me about $135 + gas. Make sure to get a truck big enough to transport the baseboards. I had purchased enough to cover 1000 square feet. I was advised by a Johnny to make sure I purchase a little extra since many of the boards will be cut to fit the sides. I also purchased the baseboards and protective layers that go underneath the flooring. It was a bit tricky to find their location since commercial buildings all look the same in Ontario. Parking was easy. Check out before and after photos. I'm extremely happy with the recommendations that i was provided after describing my vision. Results turned out better than I have expected. It's been a few months now and I have spilled water, mopped the place with a spin mop and pushed tables across the floor without a problem. read more

This is one of only a very few companies that were willing to take up the project w the Pergo laminated wood floor after my installation deal went sour with Lowes. Every one of the young men that came to my house was very impressive. They were pleasant, conscientious, fast, efficient, hardworking, and with good artistic eyes. Since the workers did not deal w Pergo laminated wood that much, they did not put in the moisture block that was required for Pergo's lifetime guarantee. Johnny Chung the owner is a man of honour. He kept his word for the company's warranty and sent a team to redo the ground floor for me. The team led by Alex Marquez ( with Peter and Ismael) were especially impressive. I am convinced that Alex is an artist by heart. He turned the beast looking wooden staircase into a beauty, far above what Johnny promised his workers were capable doing. It took him 3 days instead of one day. But the result is worth the wait. I highly recommend this company. I'm very happy that we found Expert Flooring! We talked to five different contractors concerning our wood floor install and received prices ranging from 3 to 4 dollars a square foot to install. After talking to each contractor and viewing samples my wife and I still did not feel that we were getting a good deal. Several of the contractors that we spoke to said that they would need to get the bull nose for our stairs custom made by Expert Flooring. I looked them up on Yelp and realized that they offer wholesale prices on wood flooring to the general public. In the store they have a showroom floor that is filled with many different types of wood flooring that you can choose from depending on your budget. Both Henry and Johnny went out of their way to answer every question my wife and I had. When we finally decided on the floor that we wanted we asked if we could see the wood floor sample under natural light; Johnny walked out with us and held up the wood floor plank so that we could see exactly how it looked under natural light! We ended up visiting several showrooms in L.A. and Anaheim but none came close the quality of the products and competitive pricing found at Expert Flooring. We also decided to have Expert Flooring perform the install because they only charged 2.25 a square foot!!! None of the contractors that we talked to even came close to the price that Johnny was able to get us. And Johnny is fully licensed and bonded by the state of California which means that he is responsible from start to finish to have the job done right. This gave us great peace of mind when we decided to have the guys at Expert Flooring do our install. I was really impressed by how courteous the workers were that Johnny had sent to work on our house and at the end of each day they cleaned up so that there was not a mess remaining. P.S. My review is solely based on my encounter today, walking in their showroom and dealing with their sales team (or lack thereof). My family just bought a house in the area and we are looking to remodel a large portion of it, including flooring. So, I went today to look around the store to get some ideas and hopefully talk with the experts to get their suggestions and help. I was also looking to spend money... a lot of money. When we walked into the showroom, I was elated with all the product and samples they had to offer. But, there was no one around to help. We browsed the area for about 10-15 minutes with not one salesperson in sight. We then walked to the other part of the showroom and I could see and hear the sales team sitting at their desk watching a television show. I'm not sure what the show was they were so deeply enthralled in, but the language was so explicit, I had to tell my daughters to go back to the other part of the store. A minute or two later, we finally did get someone to talk with us, but it was not one of the people wearing the red polo shirts with company logo on it (that lead me to presume it was the company sales team). A young lady, who IMHO was unprofessionally dressed, came around the corner and asked if I needed help. I was a little caught off guard, still looking in the direction of the red-shirt salesmen who were still hypnotized by the television. But, I came to my senses and told her yes, I did need help and we were trying to figure out the difference in their products (laminate, engineered, or hardwood). To which she let out a slight sigh with eye roll. She then spent five minutes or so showing us where the different products were in the showroom and gave us a basic overview on cost. Besides the initial encounter and first impression, the young lady was nice enough during her 5 minutes, she just didn't spend any time really trying go over anything with us to were it really felt like we took her away from the movie she was watching with the others salesmen. We looked around a couple minutes longer and I went back to ask another question. The red-shirt polo salesman was now standing in front of the television mesmerized and never looked over to acknowledge me standing there looking directly at him, waiting to speak with him (or someone, the young lady was now gone from view again). Just based on my initial walk-in and dealing with their team, I would not spend the type of money I was looking to spend with this company. There are just too many flooring companies in the area to be treated like you don't matter. I would spend the extra dollar or two a square foot just to feel confident in the company I went with to do my flooring. Best bet, move on down the road. read more

We did not use them for install, as my husband was able to install the laminate, but the price and quality of the flooring and the padding was much better than the similar type we bought from Floor and Decor.
