Walked in at 7:58pm. Seated ourselves after standing for a moment in the entrance. No one greeted us. After sitting down in the fairly empty restaurant (there was only 1 other table with 4 people there) we watched the waitress take the order ahead of us, and then proceed to walk back and forth at least 3 times (past our table), and not once were we acknowledged. However, each time the waitress went back up to the bar area, she would glance at us. We waited until 8:11, waiting for a hello, or a quick "I'll be with you in a moment", but nothing. We waited and waited thinking she was just busy, but it quickly became apparent that we were actively being ignored. Wasn't in the mood to say anything, so we just left. Extremely disappointed. It was a rare night that I had a babysitter for an hour, and was hoping to have a nice evening with my husband enjoying some apps and drinks. I do not mind waiting, but to not be acknowledged in any way whatsoever for close to 15 minutes in an empty restaurant was absurd and horrible service. Doubtful that we will ever go back. read more

Got a referral from a friend to try this place out. I like good food so I took a 45 min drive on a Friday night. Here's what I learned. Atmosphere: Cozy mom and pops style theme. Nothing ultra fancy about the decor. It was very clean. Cold almost as if they started the furnace at opening. Service: friendly and attentive waitress. After ordering food did seem to take awhile to come out but not excessive. Drinks: Had one mixed drink from the bar. You don't get cheated on the goods here. Food: I had a small onion rings for appetizer. Easily enough for two!! They were delicious. They pair very well with the house fry sauce. For my entree, I had a double bacon cheeseburger. I was amazed at the size of this burger. I want to say it had two full half pound patties! Fresh ground meat not frozen patties either. The cheese was perfectly melted. I love onion and was delighted this had a full ring on onion in the burger. The bacon was a good thick cut and not the stringy stuff. Best part is they were not stingy with the bacon. There was a layer of bacon between the patties as well as on the top patty. Cooked a perfect medium well. Delicious burger. Some of the few I was with had the queen prime rib. It was a massive 16-18 oz cut. Seasoned very well and extremely tender. If a hunting trip or anything else puts you in the area. Definitely give this place a shot. read more

This is one of THEE best places to eat!! The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is very friendly. Don't be fooled by the outside...it may not look like a Texas Roadhouse or some other well-known steakhouse, but this is the perfect example of the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover." Never in all my travels have I found such a diamond in the rough. We passed 10 restaurants and thankfully checked yelp which steered us off the highway to happy time. Waitress was wonderful! Bacon double cheeseburger was outstanding. Burger was juicy, tasty and perfectly cooked. Veggies on the burger looked and tasted like they just pulled them out of the garden before we got there. My wife and I enjoy dinning at your Bar and Grill restaurant on our way back home from the casino to Minot. Your deep fried Walleye is outstanding! Best in the area for miles and miles. Your place is always very clean looking and the waitresses have always been very pleasant and very efficient with their service. The only sad part about our visit when we stop there is the continued filthy language bellowing from the bar area that echoes throughout the dinning area. Completely unacceptable for families coming in to dine with children! So, from what would be a 5 star rating of excellence drops to just an OK rating, Sorry!! read more

Our group did the queen prime rib and the rib eye. All were cooked perfect. The rib eye was huge and was reported to be one of the best he'd ever had. If you want some serious beef this is the place to come when in the Stanley area. 4 stars because the salad could be better and a potato was extra cost. All in all a must stop, but you better have GPS to find it. read more

Excellent little place. Been here twice in the last week or so and have been happy both times. Had a Patty melt on Texas toast and it was this cheesy Gooey piece of awesomeness, wish I had taken a picture. Waitress Mary is the best, friendly and welcoming. Tried for the first time a French Baked potato, MUST TRY!!! it's a baked potato that has been peeled and deep fried then you add some butter and sour cream and it's bliss. Love this little place. GREAT Prime Rib, Coke & Pepsi under the same roof. It's off the beaten path & for the most part untouched by the oilfield. Perfect for a nice relaxed dinner.
