Honestly, Palm Tran has been nothing but stressful. The buses are constantly late, and sometimes the driver doesn't even ring the door bell when they arrive. People rely on this service to get to school, work, and important places, so when it's this unreliable it seriously affects our lives. I've literally gotten absences because of this. It feels really unfair when you're trying your best to be responsible but the system keeps failing you. Public transportation should support the community, not make people feel ignored and disrespected. I really hope Palm Tran starts caring more about the riders who depend on them every day read more

We used the buses from Singer Island to downtown West Palm Beach and found the service to be quite nice. It's great to have $1 or $2 dollar rides depending on age. The drivers were helpful to us when we asked questions as first time riders. One driver was confronted with a would be passenger that inappropriately approached the bus in the middle of a street expecting to be picked up. He was aggressive and inappropriate and I commend the bus driver for how she handled the situation. All buses were clean and comfortable. My only reason for the 4 star is because the app didn't provide accurate information, but that wasn't a huge issue to me. I will ride the bus again to save on Uber fees when I visit next year. read more

Prejudice Bus Driver. I was waiting for the bus with 2 other people. One being a woman of darker complexion the other an older light complexion man. The date is 2/16/2025 I am at Melaleuca and Military trail,waiting for the #3 Northbound 1:50pm bus. It arrives on time and the bus is empty. The driver lets the woman and man in, as he tells me no! Then he closes the doors in my face. No explanation... If the bus is not running late and it is empty there is no reason why he did not let me on. This leads me to believe it was due to my race and or appearance. I am a Native American woman with dreads. I guess it doesn't matter though. since palm Tran still have gotten back to me in over a month . I will leave my compliant here. I am filing this complaint against Palm Tran due to the lack of response and resolution regarding two refund requests. Over a month ago, I was informed that I would receive a $6 refund for my Paradise Pass, but I have yet to receive it. Additionally, I purchased a $5 all-day paper pass from the Tri-Rail bus kiosk, which did not work when I attempted to use it for the first time. Despite my previous attempts to resolve this issue directly with Palm Tran, I have not received my refunds or any confirmation of when they will be processed. This lack of follow-through has caused unnecessary frustration and inconvenience. I request that Palm Tran promptly issue both refunds and provide clear communication regarding their resolution process. The conditions on the busses are disgusting. If you need to be somewhere at a certain time just use Uber. read more

Sure, there are factors beyond Palm Tran control related to funding and car fetishism, but maybe it can do better. Infrastructure bill or not, at least update the website (the $5 all day pass is no longer a thing - fare is $2 with no free transfers). Jupiter, population 60,000+, is gently grazed by the once-an-hour 10 bus, while Juno Beach has nothing. Presumably there's more activity between the Gardens mall and West Palm Beach. No customer service. No one answers phones. Recording disconnects before anyone can even leave a message. Website non functional. Takes you no where even with links sent to you in emails that tell you to fill our forms but forms are no where to be found. Really a complete dysfunctional non user friendly company. We have used Palm Tran for over a decade for transportation of a handicapped family member to his activities. One suggestion- please please please upgrade your system. Having to use paper tickets is archaic! We are in the 21st century, and there should be a card that is electronically fillable. Even more difficult is how the tickets are purchased. Options are 1- buying the tickets by mail with a check (who has checks anymore), 2- traveling to PalmTran hdqtrs in West Palm Beach to purchase them. My husband is blind. This "company" tried to leave him stranded at palm beach international airport! He waited from 4:30pm until 7:15pm for a 5:00/5:30pm pick up. There drivers went repeatedly to wrong bus stop then tried to accuse my blind husband of missing his ride! If I did not call and prove that their drivers went to wrong stop they were going to leave him at the airport & charge him for a "no show" They are a disgusting operation!! Staff was nice but I was sent on wrong bus when I asked how to get to Palm Beach. Only bus 41 actually goes to Palm Beach from the TriRail station but it has limited trips. You have to rely on taxis or Uber. Wasted money on useless bus passes. Seems like Palm Beach does not want tourist. You can walk from TriRail to bar district in West Palm Beach. Busses do not actually go through fun areas there either. Now Miami has got a real train and bus system with actual armed police. The rest of the nation could learn from Miami. My son bus was late this morning. We seen a bus pass by him so I called in to check on his schedule ride. The agent that answered the phone sounded like they were so upset they had to come to work today. I asked was that his bus that passed by and all the agent keep responding with is the bus will be there at 8:20am. I asked more questions and it was like I was speaking alien language. Then I asked for a supervisor and was old one would call me back. But I then proceeded to ask him for his ID to reference back to him for my complaint and he did that dumb mess again like he couldn't understand. Rude busers are leaving customers at the bus stops. They don't even wait for the customers they just drive by. That's very lazy and unprofessional. If they don't want to do their job quit and get somebody who can and will do job in a timely, respectful and professional manner. Many people want jobs and will do this job much better. I use to take the bus often when I worked at the mall & going to my teaching gigs. I sometimes travel around if I need to go shopping and such. As someone who travels around the country quite often one thing that our County bus service needs to desperately work on, drivers having better manners. I know there is a homeless issue & I know customers can be rude. But that's something that needs to be worked on at a corporate level & with better training. Nothing worse than me watching a customer with a speech impediment trying to articulate a question to your number 1 Bus driver for him to close the door in her face. How do you not have customer service available on Sundays, the routes do not start early enough & do not run late enough, a good percentage of the drivers can barely speak English, buses are either always running late or not showing up @ all, compared to the bus system in Broward & Dade counties, this system is an absolute embarrassment. read more

What a useless public transportation service. Especially on route 94. They just don't seem to care that passengers have schedules to keep. My favorite part is that the bus leaves the Boca Raton train station at 20 after the hour, but the train gets there at 35 past the hour. Plus the bus is regularly late. The drivers are often rude. yesterday, I had a $20 bill, and before I could even say anything she snapped at me, "We don't have change for a 20!" I already knew this. I was planning already to get a 10-ride card or pass with credit, which is what she gave me. I'm the customer. I'm trying to give you money. The last thing your employees should do is snap at a person trying to give them money for proving the service. Your employees need to show respect to your customers better. This is just basic customer service. I also have a problem with the schedule. Why are the buses always so far behind schedule? The drivers also never seem to care about keeping the schedule. In other places where I have taken the bus, the drivers are apologetic when they are more than a couple minutes late. Here, they are very apathetic. What is Palm Tran doing to fix this? One of the major reasons I hear for people not taking the bus is that they don't know when the bus will show up. They do have an app that shows a live feed of where the buses are. This can help you with your schedule, even if the buses are typically late. I do commend Palm Tran for providing bicycle racks on the front of the buses. This does help promote the bike culture in the area, which in turn helps promote the lack of need for car dependency. I do wish Palm Tran could do more to promote bike safety, especially with motorists ignoring crosswalks, putting cyclists at risk. I'm really not one to complain, but I felt these issues are egregious enough for my voice to be heard. read more

Unfortunately Yelp does not let you give 0 Stars. I have ridden on different buses throughout the state and Palm Tran is by far the worst. Literally late most of the time. Every once in awhile, every so often they're on time but it's supposed to be the opposite. If you read my reviews on here I normally give great reviews to everyone. It's really hard to get a bad review out of me. Every business on the planet has a capacity limit. Palm Tran doesn't. They will pack so many people onto a bus until it is simply unsafe riding conditions. Very few drivers are pretty nice, most are incredibly rude. They say you should leave 2 hours early to be somewhere on time. It shouldn't have to be that way. I should expect to arrive at my destination on time. Unfortunately I'm tran is held hostage by the transportation Union. A driver even told me once, they can literally do almost anything and not get fired for it. Palm Tran it's time to become a better company finally. You had the RPM a few years ago and said things were going to improve and nothing has. I have spoken to drivers in other counties and everyone talks about the nightmare known as Palm Tran. Do you want to be considered the nightmare by other counties? Do you even care? Having used PalmTran for almost 4 years now, I find that for the most part they have a fantastic service. Whilst some drivers need an attitude adjustment, I guess that's par for the course dealing with various personalaties on a daily basis.
