The absolutely awesome part of this nail/tanning salon: it's operated by a family of mom/dad/two…read moredaughters. Good for them! I called ahead and the prices seemed fair, $37 for white tip full set. They said come on in and I did- plenty of seats available. When I walked in, it was... Different. No "official" front desk, no sign in sheet. I wasn't quite sure what to do. After a few minutes, they sat me down and got started right away. One of the daughters, maybe 17/18 years old, did my nails. She was very very sweet but the finish product turned out okay. She kept open dialogue with me and seemed genuinely interested in what we were talking about. The mom was working on a gentleman getting a pedicure. I should note, this shop is tiny. 4 manicure tables, 4 pedicure stations and 2 tanning booth. So, you're literally right on top of each other. The mom was the outspoken one, not afraid to voice her opinion on anything; politics, tonight's festival, local food; she was somewhat obnoxious. The sweetest thing was when the youngest daughter, maybe 14, came out and cleaned up the pedicure station. They're raising two nice young ladies! The father was quiet, yet nice. Working on a manicure behind me. Although the shop was small and somewhat dirty, my manicure ended up okay. However, it was a long road to get there. The girl got glue all over my fingers and even got her finger glued to mine! One of my nails looks bubbly underneath the top coat. Since the prices are not any cheaper than anywhere else, next time I'll probably drive a little further to a nicer place.

I've been wanting to write this for a while but just now finding the courage after seeing my credit…read morecard statement. They tipped themselves $5 extra (on top of a 21% tip). Not to mention, I think they overcharged me to begin with. I should have trusted my gut when I walked in and saw how dirty the shop was- I literally almost walked out as fast as I walked in but my time limit, desperation for fresh nails, and people pleaser tendencies got me as soon as she came out from the back (this is obviously my lesson). Very nice and "well meaning" but she also didn't listen to what I wanted and insisted I "trust her". I've been getting my nails done the same way for yearssss based on the shape of my hands. Trust me, I'm a fan of dramatic nails on other people, but just like I can appreciate certain clothes on people based on their body type, I know what I can pull off. Even the people in my life said my nails were pretty but "not my style". Also, they looked good on the surface to an untrained eye, however I had to pick off chunks of acrylic on the underside. My nails kept snagging on everything! Anyway, I really want to give this place a good review based on her personality but if I want to pay for a service based on personality, I'll go to dinner and a show. I also definitely won't be back due to fear of getting a nail fungus. I don't think they sterilize anything.

I've never had a massage before. The reason I tried 502 Salon & Spa was because they offered 30…read moreminute sessions, and I figured if I hated it, it wouldn't last too long. Most places offer 60 and 90 minute sessions (501 also has these options, but I love the shorter ones). I put in my notes when I booked online that it was my first massage and I was nervous it would be painful. When I arrived, the front desk attendant was very kind and took me upstairs to the spa. (Note - not sure how accessible this place is - I did not notice an elevator). My masseuse was Ashley, and she was incredible. She walked me through the process knowing I was apprehensive, explained any add ons, and made me feel at ease. She is so good at what she does, and I genuinely cannot wait to go back.

This was unfortunately the most disappointing salon experience I've ever had. The reception team…read morewas lovely, the ambiance is beautiful, and the stylists are kind and professional. However, the results were consistently not what I requested. I brought in an inspiration photo and clearly stated multiple times that I did not want any red tones. The result was noticeably red/orange and looked nothing like the photo. I called the salon, and they were courteous and offered to correct it. The manager was helpful and encouraged me to return to the same stylist so she could learn from the situation. Although I was uncomfortable with that, I agreed as long as there was guidance. At the redo appointment, I again showed the inspiration photo and reiterated my concerns. Unfortunately, I left with hair that was pinkish/reddish/yellow and extremely dry -- again, not aligned with what I requested. The manager did ask if I was happy with it, but with the stylist present, I felt uncomfortable speaking up and said very little. The situation felt awkward and difficult to address in the moment. While the redo was comped, I was charged approximately $150 for a root retouch. Within just a few days, my silver growth was already visible. At this point, I am over $500 into the experience and have left each appointment feeling embarrassed rather than confident. I've decided to move on and find another salon, but I was truly disappointed by how far the final results were from what was clearly communicated.

After I paid for my monthly membership, the business raised its monthly sunless prices and then…read morerefused to honor the membership I had already paid for unless I agreed to sign up for the new, more expensive plan. They also refused to prorate or refund any portion of my payment. According to the employee I spoke with, the owner has a blanket policy of not issuing refunds under any circumstances. The owner was not very polite either while on the phone. I wasn't informed of the price increase until two weeks after my payment had been taken. After initially denying me access to services I had already paid for, the owner's "resolution" was to allow me to use the service just one final time on Monday (7/14). I understand that prices can increase, but blindsiding clients and taking their money without proper notice or options is completely unacceptable. After being a loyal client for three years, I unfortunately can no longer recommend this business.

I looked up tip and shaved and exfoliated before arriving and did not put any products on my skin. The girl at the desk was very helpful and explained the differences in the spray tans. With her help I decided to get a tan that shows instantly and added moisturizer. She then walked me to the back and explained the process to me. They have barrier cream to put on hands and feet. I wish I would have used a but more but it was fine. There is a hair net to cover your hair but don't let it sit on your forehead. Last, there are sticky pads for the bottom of your feet. Once you get in you stand as directed and push the button. It's over in a matter of 2 minutes and you step out dry. She was not kidding when she said instant! I was immediately tan and it looked great! There was no orangey tone it was very natural. When I got home my fiancé said I looked thinner but he couldn't figure out why. . Now I feel like I have to come back every month!
