I have been a loyal member for 20 years plus, literally! I usually start up from early Spring through September. I don't care about spray tan or the high pressured beds. My preference has always been the level one and I get a great tan! Its a turn off to pay the $29 member fee every year. Secondly, I was getting the $16.99 package and they said their prices went up to $50 and still they want the $29 fee. I was always told that if you do packages above the entry level, then it's waived. The girls get commission from it and can't tell if they could really waive it or not. So anyway, its almost June and I had to skip April and May because the significant increase! Ultra tan management should be able to understand that regardless, my preference is level one. The start up fee and freezing your membership is very silly and they should really consider doing away with it. Abd lastly, I can never understand why the staff at all Ultra Tan does not engage in remembering their loyal customers name! It shows you value my business and creats a welcoming community vibe. I show up at a little before 9am when they should open at 9am and the person finally shows up at 9:30am The way the system works is I can't tan for 24 hours so if I want to tan the next day I've got to wait until 9:30 When I get inside to tan no apology for being late Well it has now been 22 days since I posted the first part of this review I emailed my contact information as ask by the person from the Palm Beach company and I've never never got a reply I now see why the employees are so slack because the management is. read more

While I'm not big on writing negative reviews unless absolutely necessary as they can at times come off as a "Karen"...this is for anyone that is looking to avoid being talked down to for someone else's incompetence. The Manager's customer service was what I would equate to the lowest form of fast food professionalism I can think of. I Went there on the 25th of June to freeze my account since it's no longer needed as I had done many previous years past. On July 1st I was charged the $94 dollar monthly fee instead of the $7. I tried calling to no avail and decided to drive up there since I was leaving to go out of town for the next 9 days. I was told the form was in the system but somehow never activated and the manager (who was on the phone speaking with the employee at the time) would give me a call and submit the refund. July 12th, never received a call nor a refund so again I try calling to no avail. Drive up there and the initial employee was very understanding and friendly and assured me the manager would give me a call asap. The "Manager" calls me and is the rudest conversation. She's short, making me explain the situation again and then cutting me off to tell me she's submitted the refund and would take 10 business days to which I replied oh I didn't know since I never received your call. She once again rudely cuts me off before finishing my sentence to say this is her first time at the Easley store since this happened. - I didn't realize the phone doesn't work from other locations lol. I just said okay and hung up because at this point it is safe to say this place has certainly gone downhill since the old days of Ultra Tan. Everything begins and ends with leadership so now I understand why this place will not make it even if you are the only local tan shop. People work there is great very clean but it's same every year go pretty much all summer with old bulbs they have the bulbs there but that just don't want us getting what we pay for I always buy best package but that don't matter to them but they keep getting paid same amount every month pls change to old bulbs read more

Great service and beds. The beds get new bulbs quit often and leave a good tan. Highly recommend.

I was a walk in because I'm about to go on a cruise and needed a spray tan. The lady there said I can get you in the bed and a Dark Spray tan with goggles for $37. I said ok and paid. I have a bronzing bed at my office but I was already there so I got in the bed. When I got out and was waiting for my spray tan the lady was having trouble with her computer...Waiting.....Then she called her manager who answered right away.. Hung up the phone and said it would be $40 more dollars. I told her nicely that I really only ca.e for the spray tan because I have a bronzing bed. She said pay or there is nothing I can do. I said cl your manager or have her call me...( She was just on phone with her) She then texted her and I told her you gave me the price for both and I paid for both. Very unprofessional professional after we already had a deal. Then she just gave me a corporate # that is closed on the weekends. 3 hours later and no call from Manager. When all she had to do is let me go do my spray. Don't go to this place it dosen't care about new customers and the manager dosen't manage. read more

I had the worst experience here today with my boyfriend. I'm currently visiting from California and payed for a month gold membership. I usually go to the one on powdersville and they are sooooo sweet! Today my boyfriend and I were in the area so we decided to stop in and tan. Once I walked in the lady in the front greeted us and asked for my last name, I spelled it out three times for her because she seemed so confused as if that's not how I spell my last name. Anyways moving forward she pulls up my account and is trying to figure out what bed to put me in. I asked her if she can put me in a bed that has the newest bulbs since I haven't tanned in a week, and her response was "oh honey I keep up with my bulbs". I didn't ask if she keeps up with her bulbs I just asked if she can place me in the bed that comes in my package with the newest bulbs. So then we continue and she puts me in a bed and tells me what room I'm in. I said okay great thank you, I was just going to wait to see what bed my boyfriend was going to be put in and so I can put lotion on his back. Once I said that she rolls her eyes and makes it seem like it's so inconvenient that she has to reset my bed time. Mind you, I have been in the tanning industry for over 4 years and managed districts back in California. And I know how to use sunlync in my sleep. When she I asked her how much time it gives us to get ready she said " 5 minutes, does that make sense to you"? I quietly bit my lip and said okay. Little does she know I knew exactly what she meant. Once I got into my bed and started it of course there was two bulbs on the top right that never turned on. I have worked in tanning industry for so long and I would never speak to a guest the way she did. I'm planning to move to South Carolina this fall and I know for sure I will not be tanning here. read more

Business is clean, workers are super nice, but PLEASE do NOT get the Mystic Tan. It will leave you so uneven, it's embarrassing. Only my arms and half my legs got the "tan" which looks like dirt, and I look all around diseased because it was so uneven - and I am very white. It's so upsetting and such a waste of $32!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE if you want a spray tan. Their booth sucks :( :( And if you decide to get the tan anyway, I'd suggest you purchase a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. The worst experience I've had with any tanning facility. They got my email incorrect and sent my personal information to a total stranger in a different state. And the only reason I know was because the total stranger contacted me from the information from the email they sent. Needless to say at this point I am awaiting for a satisfactory resolution to this problem. When I complained I was given the run around and blamed for said problem and told my information was on Google. However Google does not have how much I spend and where it is spent. read more
