I was told that the services that I selected were only available at their Downtown Charleston location so I made the two hour drive. When I arrived for my first scheduled appointment, I was turned away because no one had told me how I needed to prepare for the services. I did have a consultation appointment yet none of the pre-appointment information was provided or shared. Even the provider at the Charleston was surprised which didn't instill any confidence in this first-time customer. I made it known to their management that I wasn't happy to have wasted half of a day traveling back and forth to not have had anything done and they did apologize. A few weeks later, I arrived for a Botox appointment to the Hilton Head Island location. Not only was the provider 15 minutes late but I was told they could not access the product because no one had the keys to the refrigerator. The owner could not access the refrigerator! I was asked to leave and come back later. The follow-up response was a casual "sorry" text accompanied by a smiley face. After sending an email to both owners, I did receive an emailed response and a text message response asking me to call them. Umm, no. I am the customer and you have all of my contact information - you can call me to provide an appropriate apology. No one did. These are invasive, aesthetic services, and patients should be able to expect professionalism, communication and respect for their time. Instead, I experienced repeated disorganization, inadequate communication and a stunning lack of concern about the inconvenience they caused. If this is how Totality MediSpa treats someone chosen to represent one of its own promotions, I would have serious concerns about recommending this business to anyone.

The texture fits with my desired feel, the tingling or feeling of warmth sensation does not really hit until you exit the tanning choice either bed or stand up. For me was minimal burn, or tingle. For a first time spray tan I had the best experience with Heather of Lowcountry Bronze. I found the…read moresalon to be clean, open, and easy to find with ample parking spots. The door may be locked but Heather was ready to greet me at the door with such a welcoming energy. I felt shy and awkward at first but talking with her I felt more comfortable. You can dress to your comfort level. Prior to the spray, Heather went over the maintenance and tips for having a good tan. It should last about a week when you maintain it and follow the instructions. The spray process itself took about 10-15 mins, very fast. At the end you can use the blower tool to dry out the spray application. Booking was easy using the Vagaro website and Heather reached out as well to see if I had any further questions which I appreciated as a first timer. Overall loved the application process and the communication. Look forward to getting more comfortable with spray tans!

I've seen a lot of employees come and go and have to say that Taylor has been absolutely wonderful! She was extremely knowledgeable about all the specials and deals going on, she explained each bed and the different results I would receive. She makes me feel so welcomed and valued! Also, she is always explaining to first time customers the ABCs of tanning in such an informative way that it's remarkable! She clearly has a great relationship with longtime customers as well because it's obvious every time I go to ULTRATAN. I think she is more of a tanning consultant than simply an employee but she makes a difference and is the reason I am a loyal member. The atmosphere is always clean and relaxing!
